My husband I ate here for the first time today and I just have to say it was amazing! Everything about the experience was top notch. The staff is very friendly, the menu had a great variety and the prices are reasonable, the restaurant was clean and very attractively laid out, and the food was fantastic with a beautiful presentation! I had the avocado toast that was over the top! The server told me the basil on it is from their herb garden. This was also beautiful to look at. I should have taken a picture but I was just too busy eating it! My husband had the French dip. He tells me it was also very good with au jus that was very tasty. We tried the new Alda's Diner Saturday morning for breakfast. Nothing super amazing about the menu or the food. Daughter had pancakes, wife had omelette with sausage gravy on top, and I had their southwest omelette with jalapenos in it. I also had a side of their corn beef hash. Hashbrowns and hash were griddle cooked and flattened. Hash was not good, I would pass on that. Omelettes were just "OK", nothing super amazing for a $10 omelette. Service was great and friendly, no complaints there. It's just a very average, breakfast location in Naples, where stiff competition exists for great breakfast places. read more

Great food! Family Owned and reasonable pricing for Naples! We came here in the past when it was Cafe Blue and always found things to be ok but on the pricey side. What a huge difference! 5 or six types of Benedict, Crapes, and a Spicy Skillet with pepper jack cheese and Jalapeños. Nothing was over $15.00 and the Mimosas are only $5.00 each. Gave Alda's dinner a second opportunity this past Sunday. Alda introduced herself to us and apologized for the debacle of our first attempt to eat there. We found the food to be quite delicious and plentiful. The service had improved over our first time there. Alda herself was very attentive to our needs. We have taken them off our pay no mind to list and will try them again. This is the way I would expect a breakfast and lunch dinner to act with all the competitors out there they have to give the diner a good experience or they will be closing their doors before they know it. read more

One of the worst breakfast stops I have ever experienced. While holding the door to proceed in before us, he said to me " Hurry, I'm on the clock ". What does that mean. Coffee was virtually tasteless. Eggs Benedict were either over-poached or cooked on a flat top in a ring mold. Sauce was old. My eggs were small and tasteless. What's the big deal about decent eggs ?? The hash was just O.K. A $42 bad choice which won't happen again! read more

Wow I would love to give this place 4.5 stars because it's really great!!! I just wish the outdoor seating was more than a parking lot! Such FRESH and amazing food -- the pita melts in your mouth. Just got home...arrived at restaurant at 7:20pm. Sat outside, waitress was there in 5 minutes. Left menus came back 10 minutes later about drinks and to explain menu. She stated, "It's St. Patrick's day, they had cornned beef and cabbage and everybody ordered today so she would not have to explain the menu"; we said we didn't want it. Ordered one coke and a Martini, (no special vodka) and appetizer of fried egg plant. She left us to look at menu. Ten minutes later she came back with drinks and said the fried artichokes will be out in a few minutes. We corrected her said it was eggplant. She ran to the kitchen. Fifteen minutes later the eggplant came out ( it was good). She took order, lamb kabobs with rice. Fifteen minutes later she came out and said there was no lamb. We said no problem, we will have the chicken kabobs. I ordered another Martini and he had a coke. Keep in mind there are only 2 tables with customers and we were one of them. Twenty minutes later the dinner arrived. Two kabobs with rice and veggies. I asked for water. We ate (chicken was bland and veggies as well, I could taste Pam. Rice was oily. ). Took chicken home for the dog. Left the veggies. Now come the best part. Got the check it was $82.00. Menu Kabobs $16.99 we had 2 = $$33.98 Appetizer $7.99 Martinis 2 x $11= $22 Coke ???? x 2 Then they added a non essential (tax) $11.00 (can't remember exact wording) Either that, or they charged $22 for a martini Then the Florida tax. Then the tip. We paid cash, left 18%; we know the service industry is suffering. When they hand you the bill, you kinda accept it until you get in the car and think about it. This place is a rip off....food was not good (except for eggplant). We could have gone to 5th Avenue for what they charged. Service was terrible, food was flavored with Pam, no salt, no pepper no spices. We live in Naples and thought we'd try something different, what a big mistake that was. We left the restaurant at approximately 8:45, keep in mind we were the only ones there. Avoid this place....there are plenty of other great reasonable places to eat in Naples that won't try to screw you. read more

If you haven't had the chance to try this place, please do. The breakfast and lunches are fantastic and homemade. I haven't had a bad meal since I started coming here. Plus the place is so clean. The Vanderbilt breakfast is way more than you can eat. Bloody mary's are excellent also. The luncheon specials are something new. The pork chops and liver and onions are the only 2 items I have tried and both were more than excellent. I haven't tried any of the deserts because the portions are so large there isn't any room for it. Note. If you are going for Sunday breakfast or brunch be patient. The church crowds take over and you may have to wait for 30 - 45 minutes. But it is worth the wait. read more

Very friendly local owners. Good food and reasonable prices. I was there on Sunday and that particular day their computer crashed losing all the orders and one server didn't show up. That was why a previous reviewer gave them only 1 star. (He happened to be there for the first time that day). We have been there several times and have never before had any problems. I just flew in from NY and had not eaten much all day. My mom mentioned a new place in Naples (Aldas Diner) at which she recently enjoyed breakfast with friends. When discussing dinner options she noted that they also had a dinner menu. I called ahead to be sure and was told the specials while on the phone. So glad we went! I had the blackened grouper and she had the lobster ravioli. Dinner started with hot crusty rolls with butter. My grouper was seasoned perfectly, was lightly browned on the outside and moist and flaky in the inside. A large fish portion came with mashed potatoes and gravy and a nice mixed veggie sauté. Mom's ravioli came with her choice of red or white sauce. She had the Alfredo and said it was tasty. Both meals were generous portions so sadly no room for dessert, but after hearing the variety of choices we were tempted. (Homemade rice pudding, cheesecake, lemon cake, etc.) Servers were gracious and attentive; food was prompt and hot; we will return, and save room for dessert! read more

My husband and I go to Aldas often. The food and service is ALWAYS top notch. And even before the virus were spotless and go above and beyond what they have to do to keep the dinning area and kitchen clean. This morning we walked to our table and were stared down by a couple that were wearing their masks while eating. I found this odd... and they got up and complained because we sat too close. Complained about thet staff, the food and everything else they could possible complain about. Well you are in public and there are other people out here too. We all do what we can to make it as safe as possible but your just being ridiculous. Eating with your mask on? Then bitching about everything and threatening in front of everyone that you are going to right a bad review. It will probley be the only bad one because this place rocks and so do the staff.
