I like Aldi, especially the low prices. They offer quite a few named brands with limited off brand assortments. It's easy to shop but I find I spend a lot of time looking at through the isles for items I have not ever seen or tried. The food is fresh and one thing I found in the frozen foods section was frozen chopped garlic and ginger is small 1/2 tsp portions making it easy to use. They also carry imported cheeses that are in small portions and affordable. My only beef is needing to have a quarter to get a shopping cart as I never carry cash. Boo! read more

I wasn't expecting to find all the goodies this location had to offer, so I didn't grab a cart (I put everything in my bag and then took it to the checkout). I ended up regretting that decisions with hands and bag overflowing LOL! I found my favorite Alex's Lemonade Stand water enhancer at this location, the new Punch Poppi flavor, and a great sale on ground meat just to name a few. The aisles are all so clean too. Aldi is a great place to get snacks like nuts, chips and chocolate. They have great seasonal items for a bargain price. My favorite would be the 3 wick candles. They have some very nice ones, all under $5. The only downside to Aldi in my opinion is that they don't bag your items at checkout. Perfect size and items. If your not brand brand shopper, you'll be fine here. Eggs, diary, most produce and meat I have had no problems and if you don't need brand names of other items, good place to go. Very quick check out, even when busy, no self check out, but they get you in and out. They make the other stores checker look like amateurs read more

I love this location. It's always well stocked and it's very easy to find the items I need and sometimes don't know I need till I see them. The male manager is absolutely wonderful and very friendly. I went into Aldi's cause I needed one onion and didn't want to go to Wal-Mart. Well, i didn't know that they don't sell onions separately, just by the bag full. So much for that. And where is it that they are the cheapest in price? No their not, cause some of what they sell, wal-mart also sells cheaper. They also sell a lot of off brand stuff you never heard of. It's sad how customer service is viewed nowadays. Walked into this location to grab a few items and an employee clearly saw me standing in front of the cooler to grab eggs. His choice was to place his oversized cubed cart in front of me. Then started clearing out cardboard from the next cooler. He didn't say anything and as the customer I should've have to ask for him to move it. I waited he didn't say anything so I changed my mind about shopping here. Aldi, that's it for me. Your lack of service for customers will cause you guys to close at some point. read more

Love the Aldi's experience! If you are entertaining, making a charcuterie board, chips and dips, cheese and crackers, go here for interesting and cheap crackers, cheeses, nuts, fruits and cookies! I have loved Aldi ever since I was a little girl. This is one of the best places to do discounted grocery shopping. Aldi brand items are just as good as designer brand items and, sometimes they even sell brand-name items at lower prices. You can find almost anything you need at Aldi and they are making efforts to provide more and more specialty type foods. They sell coconut oil, cashew butter, almond butter, raw honey, have a great line of fit and active foods, as well as a specialty line of Italian food products and even sell some Latino foods. Sometimes you will have to do a once over of your produce, but at what grocery store do you not have to do that? I really like this particular location as it is in one of the areas that I work in. It's a newer store, so it's clean, bright, and the shelves are well-stocked.I heard one of the employees joking around with a customer and I really liked that. Sometimes Aldi employees can seem a little cut and dry - after all, they try to get you in and out with their lightning speed scanning skills lol. But I feel that the employees at this Aldi are pretty nice. There's also a nice selection of wine and be beer here. Scored a cute bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for $3.99 and a 6-pk of Mexican beer for $5.99. So it's not Corona or a bottle of high priced wine. I don't mind. I just see it as a way to expand my horizons and try some different brands of adult beverages. ;-) You also don't want to forget to take a stroll down the specialty household items, as they change those products out every so often. They've got some great deals going on right now for summer and household storage products. I once scored an ice cream maker here for $14.99 and it works great!! I've also bought cooking utensils, nice cutting boards, and baking sheets during some of the specialty sales. This is all around one of my favorite stores to shop in. ALDI - Grocery Near Me - Roanoke, Texas

This is a new Aldi store that has been open for a couple of months in Roanoke, TX. It is located right off of 377, just north of highway 114 and is an easy location to get in and out of. I had never been to an Aldi store before visiting this one and I am now a believer. I was really tired of brands like Tom Thumb and Albertsons charging more and more for their food products, while being less than overwhelming in their service. I love food and I am picky about food, and Aldi is a great place for me to shop for my staples. One of the keys to Aldi is they do not carry the "brand names" many of their products are their own brand. If you really look at food manufacturing in america, the big food producers are producing product for more than one brand. You have to try these products, I bet they are being made by the same producers as many of the other products that you are paying more for. The three things that you need to know about shopping at Aldi that will make you first visit successful. 1. Bring your own bags, this is good for the environment any way so you should be doing this anyway. 2. Have a quarter for the cart. It is amazing how people will stop be lazy and return the cart if they have invested a quarter. No more cart dings in my car and I get my quarter back. We have a designated spot where I keep the "Aldi Quarter" in my car so that it is never an issue. 3. Be prepared to pay by cash, debit or check. This is just one way they keep the prices low. The money you save on groceries will far our weigh the airline miles you would have gotten on this grocery trip. Seriously, give this a try. read more

other than having good prices sometimes, i went in to grab some lettuce and there was a dead bird in the lettuce box. definitely surprised me, it makes me sick thinking other people didn't see it and ate the lettuce. since the bird was at the very bottom. it was touching the lettuce and it's disgusting. i wouldn't buy any fresh foods without checking around first. i will never forget. read more

New location is of course clean and inviting. Prices are much lower than traditional grocery stores. Plenty of deals on good basics, frozen foods, $5 bake at home pizzas, and fruits and veggies. Thin in the meat offerings. Bring a quarter for the cart. read more

I was shopping here on Sunday, and I bought a 12 pack of Diet Coke. I got them home, and started to drink when I noticed it tasted funny. When I check the expiration date, they had expired in 2016! I should've checked the date before I bought them, but I honestly didn't think somebody would sell Coke that expired almost a year ago. If you shop here, make it a practice to check expiration dates. The savings wasn't that much for the Diet Coke to shop for it it aldi versus other leading grocery stores. read more

I went into Aldi in Roanoke to purchase a rechargeable sweeper that they had advertised in their ad. I was told by a employee that they had not received any on their truck and that they may get some on the next truck due in. I stopped back by again and again no sweepers. I was informed by one of their employees on the first trip that they don't always get whats advertised in their ads. So I wasted my time to make two trip to their store and it will be my last. I also sent a email to Aldi's customer service and have yet to get a response. So that tells me that customer service isn't high on their priority list. Nice way to do business Aldi!! read more
