I have yet to find a market where I can procure all my items on my list. But ALDI has a few things I need. You never know what you will find here. Truly. It's like a treasure hunt each time you go in. Some things sell out super fast. Their knives are amazing! You can make rice krispy treats for under $3 and you would not know the difference not using the name brands. The Lacura skin care products are fabulous!!! You can always get a dozen eggs for under two bucks! You can find name brand items for a great price. They have plants. I love the gardenia plant I bought and can not wait for it to bloom. The bratwurst are absolutely amazing. Truly delicious. They taste like fresh ones from the Midwest. They have popcorn powders that are soooo good. Popcornopolis better watch out! Some folks don't like how the store is laid out. Just have an open mind and see how affordable ALDI really is! read more

Great quality food finds at lower prices. Store is clean and well organized. Parking plentiful and easy. I had to return some unopened wine bottles after I had a bit of one bottle that did not sit well with my stomach and the manager was very polite and immediately directed me to the cashier for a full refund. I will definitely be coming here a lot more often. read more

Is this a 1 stop market? Nope. But if you need value priced basics, fresh produce, and unexpected funds this is it. ALDI is the parent company of Trader Joe's...and I've seen some TJ food items here (not TJ branded but same items) If you're used to a shopping experience like Vons/Ralph's/Albertsons etc this is not it. Displays are a bit wonky. Checkout to me is a bit challenging as I feel I'm being rushed to bag my own purchase and move on...but the savings outweigh this. I'm a big fan of the sea salted chocolate caramels (similar to TJ's). Keto cheese tortillas is next purchase I'm going to make. read more

I have been shopping at this Aldi for over 3 years now. I'm usually in there 3 - 4 times a week. It's getting harder to want to shop there as they never have the items we are used to buying. The stock is very low. The other thing they only have price tags on half their items. Yesterday I got I to it with one of their check out guys who seems to be at the register most of the time. He always does this where after he rings me up and I pay for my items I always say thank you. The guy at the register never says thank or responds in any way. So I said to him, why am I thanking you and not you. I told him as a customer and my generation like to hear you appreciate my business. Customer service is a thing of the past. Well he just looked at me with a blank stare, no response or no thank you or I'm sorry. I'm done with Aldi, there are plenty of other stores. read more

This is not your typical Aldi's as the inventory is very sparse, and the store appears dirty. I went in for mushrooms and there wasn't any. Also shopping for a tomato sauce that was advertised and again, none available. Three items I wanted I wasn't not able to reach and wasn't able to find anyone to help me. When I did find an Aldi associate they were very rude and simply did not have time to assist me. Helping customers is apparently not a priority at this store. I will not be going back. It's a shame because I have been in other Aldi's that were well stocked and friendly. read more

I was pretty excited to learn this new ALDI store had opened in Santa Clarita. While living in Germany, I use to frequent this shop when I needed groceries. The prices are hard to beat for the quality of items sold here. For example, I bought a pack of two bacon wrapped Filet Mignon for only 4 dollars! There is grass fed beef, free range chicken and lots of organic products well below your avg supermarket. Whats more to love is that you can get some German products without paying crazy import prices. If you are expecting this place to have the variety and set up of Whole Foods store, then you may be disappointed. Typically, when leaving a Whole Foods I pay 100 dollars for two or three bags of groceries but when I leave ALDI I have a full shopping cart. Be sure to bring a quarter for your shopping cart deposit (returned when you bring it back), some bags for your groceries, and an open mind for a different shopping experience. read more

Trader Joe's may own ALDI, but how people see a comparison between the two shocks me. ALDI fits more with the likes of Food for Less and the 99 cent store. Most people gripe about the quarter you pay for the usage of the cart, but you get your quarter back so that's not a big deal. The produce department was very underwhelming. The produce wasn't as plump and fresh looking compared to local grocery stores like Ralph's and VONS. Cereals, cake mixes and frozen foods were not popular brands but they're not store brands either. I bought a box of frozen fried chicken. The Tyson version at the other markets is a million times better. For those reviewers who said, "Trader Joe's sells store brand products too like ALDI." Here's the difference, TJ's store brand products are actually made for them by the bigger named brands. Feel free to google that for yourself. I also bought beef in the meat section. The prices were lower but it was also fattier. Service was ok. It was great and it wasn't bad. The staff seemed very pleasant. Some people like ALDI, some people don't. To each their own. I personally don't and I don't care if their prices are cheaper. I prefer quality food over price. That's just me. read more

What you don't know that you are getting the same quality of food as any name brand food or non-food item...Just a different label. If you are particular, picky or Sheshi, you know uppity! Then move on to somewhere elseI Yes they have a 25cents cart "put one in get one back" BECAUSE THAT MEANS YOU TAKE THE CART BACK. Get your 25 cents back and THAT MEANS YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE A CART AVAILABLE FOR YOU. Plus that's part of you savings and exercise of walking back to the cart return. People do it anyways, right? Walked into this store during opening week and walked put 15 minutes later with nothing. This store reminds me of the Aldi's I have been to in former East Berlin right after the wall came down. Not really a good thing. The fact that I needed a quarter to grab a grocery cart really put me off. It wasn't so much that they were forcing deposits on carts but more the fact that I don't normally carry change. Just annoying. Don't really think I'll be back no matter how great the prices. After looking at all the reviews, it seems like people love this store or hate it. I for one, love it and am so glad to be saving so much money per week on my groceries. Another review stated the price difference is pennies compared to other brands. Maybe they meant 20-100 pennies per item? Where else in this valley can you buy eggs for .75? Or sour cream for .95? Or a 4 pack of applesauce pouches (aka toddler crack) that cost $3+ at other stores- $1.79 at Aldi. They do not have EVERYTHING, but they have the staples and then some. In fact, I have been in the store for my weekly shopping about 4 times since they opened and was only unable to find 1 item. Some people don't like the "quarter in quarter out" for the shopping carts. That is another way they keep their prices down, and what does a few extra steps hurt to return the cart? Keep your "Aldi quarter" in your car and have it there for your trips. Some don't like the ambiance (or lack thereof). I personally do not need ambiance for my grocery store experience, so to each their own on that one. Others do not like the fact that it is all off brands, but I can say I have tried several products, none of which so far that I did not like the same or more than any name brand. So overall, as much as it may seem otherwise, I get where people are coming from with their opinions. You walk out of a Vons, Ralphs, TJs etc and into this store and yes - it is different. But lets take it out of the "this is how a grocery store should look, operate, feel, etc" Box and take it for a different type of experience. It is a different approach to shopping, and if it is saving me money to have to take a few extra steps on my end, I am all for it. I always go to ALDI to get my drannnks and everyone working seems miserable. Literally every time I go in there no one ever just says hi. Just a simple hi, hello... The customer service is absolute trash. You get to the register and it seems like some kind of personal race for the cashier to see how fast they can scan things lmao. They don't even say hi. I am so happy to find a piece of home here! Aldi also know as Hofer back home is one of the most affordable grocers with great organic options. Most of their products are their own, the packaging is smaller and therefore all their products are cheaper. Back home Aldi/Hofer has an in-house bakery too, where you can pick up freshly baked goods while it's still warm! I hope they'll make this available here at some point as well. As for the cart deposit, this is a complete norm in EU, we have a cart deposit due to people leaving their carts all over parking lots. You see, Austro-Germans are all about efficiency and order. Aldi is a no frills market that has a great concept and cost savings. Located off Lyons and orchard village they took over the old Ralph's location. European cart rent for (25 cents) and return that is efficient and keeps the parking lot clean and free of carts. The produce section, small yet fresh has very good prices and a decent selection. the store itself is also small but you can find almost everything. It does have the feel of shopping at Trader Joe's (sister company) with its non name brands and similar stocking style. read more

Fantastic! I had never been to an Aldi supermarket prior to moving to Newhall. I honestly have no idea how much money I've wasted in the past by shopping anywhere else for my daily needs. I am happy to know that I won't be wasting anymore money! I walked in and picked up some of my daily needs. Mac N Cheese (must of course), pizza, milk, eggs, lunch meat, bread, chips, and a reusable bag all totaled to less than $25. Awesome. The ads come out every Wednesday so check out the deals! Last week I saw a chainsaw and this week a rice cooker for $15. Pretty sweet :) The store is very clean, organized, and the team is extremely helpful. Despite being told the order would be ready by 3, I received no updates. I went to the store to find out the order hadn't even been started. When I asked the cashier he was rude to me. Finally got the email for the order at 5:15, three and half hours after they said it would be. Then I had to wait in the car for over 15 minutes after checking in. Then they finally messaged me that I had to pickup the order inside. There was nobody waiting to cash out despite it not being busy. They gave us 7 bags for 24 items which means they put about 3 items in each bag. Never using their online pick up service again. read more

I lost my hearing aid at the store. When I asked an employee for the lost and found, he quickly went into action and called the cashiers to find out if one had been turned in. He then walked all the isles with me to help me find it. At the same time, another employee helped looking for it with her cleaning cart. I am so thankful of all the help I received! We were not able to locate it at the store though. I later found it with the app inside my car. It had flipped into the back seat when I took off my mask. Good thing for the app that has a "find my hearing aid" ! I had all forgotten about it. Thank you Aldi employees! read more

This store continues to greatly surprise and impress me. I went to two grocery stores today; Aldi's and Vons. Aldi's because it's awesome and Vons because it's less than a block from my apartment. Vons continues to disappoint me. I was overcharged, then treated in a rude manner and not given a refund. At Aldi's, Kevin was working. Kevin has to be the happiest, most pleasant cashier/store employee I have ever encountered. It would be worth the trip to this store to simply buy a bottle of water for the joy of being checked/charged by Kevin. He says hello, he smiles and always makes you feel good about anything you buy. He does not intrude or pass judgment, but simply has a way of relating to people with genuine unfeigned joy and simplicity. I want to clarify, I am not related to Kevin not even his friend but he adds so much to this particular store's appeal and level of awesomeness. The quality here is superior to that of Vons and other stores for 25 - 50% less plus they have a Kevin. read more

If you've never been into an ALDI they make you feel like an idiot. You need a quarter to get a shopping cart- a sign would be nice. The store itself doesn't have a lot of options, it looks like they aren't quite put together yet. Without a cart I carried my items in my arms to the one register that was open, the cashier proceeded to put all my items into a cart he supplied - being a Newbie to this store I didn't know what to expect - so I start to walk out what with the cart containing my groceries only to be yelled at by the cashier! Fantastic shopping experience. I love the efficiency of the place... the store is not huge, so it is really simple to get what you need and head out on your way. Not very vegetarian friendly. No baskets for my lap. I cannot push a cart in a wheelchair. I didn't find much for vegetarian anyway so I just left. The prices for their produce alone is worth the visit. Yep I enjoy shopping here! Prices are great and store runs itself. Staff is nice however you pretty much only interact with the cashier. I like the set up on the carts as you never see them in the parking lot or dinging your car. Always a great selection at great prices. You just have to get the hang of the things they stock. I go every week to stock up on lunches for my kids and myself most of which is fresh food. Two Thumbs up! read more

I gave a second star for the price on eggs I bought yesterday @Aldi that was much anticipated and just opened in Santa Clarita. But given my personal experience shopping there yesterday, I probably will think twice about going there again. The quarter for a shopping cart is a little time-consuming issue, but I understand that the store while trying to keep prices low has to cut on paid employees running around parking lot collecting carts. The first thing that met me at the store - flyer with promise of freshness, quality, and least additive to foods. I did not find freshness in produce, hardly could find a few apples amd tomatoes that were ok to purchase. Variety is basically none. There is only one brand of bottled water, which i was unfamliar with. The only ground turkey meat packages in meat department have note about added "natural flavoring"(?). Why would anyone buy raw meat and look for any other added flavors besides those within???? Then I went to cashier. The carts interchange at the cashier's desk. There is no info about checkout process until you get to the checkout. In my case, a confused shopper was packing her things in bags from the cart while the cashier was throwing my items into the very same cart I was told should be mine now. Mine was rolled away for the reason, I think the other shopper did not have a quarter and used her own bags to shop inside the store. So, we ended up sharing cart at the checkout. Sounds too complicated? But it is! I was concerned about the mixup, the cashier couldn't care less. I paid and said that based on the experience i probably won't come back. Cashier shrugged her shoulders and replied "Fine!" Then i went to the table to pack. Checked my receipt and discovered that the tomatoes charged were not the ones i bought, but more expensive ones. I also was charged twice for the same package of candy. I went back, and cashier returned $6 and some cents back to me. Overall impression - limited variety of brands, disappointing quality, rude service, unpleasant shopping experience that consumes personal time a lot, not trustworthy checkout process.... except for eggs, which were cheap and large. Would i make another trip to save $6 on 4 dozens of eggs, but possibly lose them to cashier if I am in the rush to get out? It is sort of a trivial question, right? read more
