I called in to get the contents of my gas tank changed because I'm an idiot and put a couple gallons of diesel in my car (I don't know how either, I have no excuse). They were so helpful, asked a lot of questions and consulted a few people and called me back and encouraged me not to go in and just dilute + drive it around given the small amount. My girlfriend's car stopped running, I had it towed to Casey's as I have used them before. They got my car and proceeded to figure out why it would not start. After a little while they replaced my my PCM which is the computer that controls the car. The had to send it out for repair and during that time the provided me with a loaner car. Casey's in Sterling has gained a new customer for life! I scheduled an appointment during the week via email correspondence with both Bryan and Ryan. I saw the positive Yelp reviews and inquired about a weekend appointment because that's the only time I'm available to do any work on my car. I requested quotes from several repair shops, but Casey's responded the most promptly and was the most friendly. Previous reviews are accurate; the place itself is clean and actually very pretty, unlike many rundown, dated car places I've been to. There are complimentary drinks and snacks! There are also some puppies who appear to be there on the regular, so that is always a plus. It's all very welcoming and comfortable. The process was very easy; I said who I was and what my issue was (engine oil leak) and they were expecting me. I handed over my keys and left until Ryan contacted me a little later with the diagnosis and quote. They call and also text a cool link that shows the whole rundown. You approve the repairs via the text link. They offer rental cars on a first come, first serve basis. My sister took me back and forth so I didn't need one. Once I came back to pick my car up, I mentioned a big scratch/dent I had put in my car last weekend and asked for an idea for how much that would cost at a body shop. Leo told me that Ryan had seen that upon intake of my car and was mostly able to buff out the paint scratches. They did that totally for free and I appreciate it so much. Took car in with battery light on. They told me it had the wrong size battery in it (the battery Subaru recommends for the car), so they had to replace it. I said ok but asked them to please return the existing battery to me. They said they would. Then they called and said it was the alternator too. Hmmm. And that it also needed 7500 of work. Hmmm. So I went to pick up the car and discovered they had not put the original battery in the car as they said they would. Called and sales guy said - "Oh - I have it right here. We will deliver it to you." Then manager called and said actually, they had to recycle it 'right away as required by law,' so it was no longer available. Wow - in 1 hour? Stringent laws. My car was completely dead later that day and had to be towed. Alternator was found by Champion Transmission to be fine, as was original battery size. I wouldn't trust the positive reviews, and would steer as far clear from these people as you can. Even for an industry with lots of shady characters, this is an outlier. read more

Casey's Automotive in Sterling has been one of my best experiences with any indy shop in the NoVA area. I communicated with Ryan over e-mail over the course of several days (very patient!) to figure out the type of tires I'd want and to schedule the date for installing the new tires. While swapping tires can easily be done at other places for cheap, Casey's ended up being nominally more expensive but with the added advantage of being a one-stop shop for installation and balancing. Often times, the cheaper places for buying tires and installing do not necessarily include balancing. As part of the installation, they do a standard inspection of the car and note anything that is needed for immediate attention or attention in the next several months. There was no pressure to address any of them when I stopped in for the tire installations, which was a nice change. All the inspection results are online with your invoice so you know what things might be coming up in the future. While so far I've only done a tire installation with them, I'm just about ready to schedule another service / repair with their Chantilly office and expect just the same amount of courteousness and awesome service. Ultimately, I'd like to get my 4runner into one of their shops for some nice "upgrades." Oh, and they do have loaner cars, pending availability. Definitely a nice perk as not all indy shops have that benefit! read more

I wanted to like this place. Seemed ok at first. But after 2 hours of waiting, my oil change was not done. Only a few customers, didn't seem slammed. I should have known when I asked in the beginning how long it would be -the guy would not give me a straight answer even though I asked twice. Then, when I'm trying to check out, they go through this long report card for my vehicle -making me feel like I should just get rid of it because it has so many problems. They had pictures of the inside of things that they took apart just to show me I needed to get it repaired. I never gave them permission to do that! Every time you disturb parts it can cause problems......not to mention if the parts aren't put back on right, as there is always the chance of something being overlooked. Not happy with how they treated me as a woman. Felt like they thought I was stupid or didn't know anything about repairs or my vehicle history. Going elsewhere next time, my time and respect are too valuable to waste here. read more

went today to get our car's oil changed. We had a few bad experiences with previous shops/mechanics overcharging us, or just a holding our car ransom because they did maintenance on it that we did not specifically consent to, and wanted to be paid for. They were really busy, but managed to easily and quickly fit us into their schedule, very friendly service, easy and quick transaction, and was given a quote over the phone that matched our final price pretty well. I liked how they also had a system where they message you for your consent to perform extra maintenance that they deem necessary and you can accept or decline it. They also give very clear and concise quotes as to what to expect payment wise for the maintenance and any additional maintenance they deem necessary. I have never seen the shop do something like that and I think it's a very nice system for customers that helps build a trusting relationship. We will definitely continue doing business with them for any future maintenance on our car! read more

1st Class Service from the moment I stepped in the door. Ryan, the service advisor made a good impression during my multiple visits to their shop. I work on my own car, and was concerned about the items below, so I took the car to Casey's for a check-up and recommendations: 1. Warning light on dash 2. Radiator / Coolant Check - Potential air in system 3. Brake System Check - Potential air in system 4. Parking Brake Check - Non-Functioning 5. Tire Check - Vibration After a day, one of the mechanics personally collaborated with me face-to-face regarding the issues to get clarification on each of the problems. Casey Automotive inspected all of the systems above and advised to take the car to the dealership due to the warning light. The dealership is the only place that has the proper scan tool for my car. I can attest to this because the dealership has already provided me with a quote to fix the warning light (an outrageous quote). In summary, Casey Automotive did not give me the runaround, nor did they charge me since I did not need service, and they did not advise or tack on any unnecessary services like a dealership would. I expected a huge bill for Casey Automotive to inspect the systems, but they only charged a reasonable inspection fee. Some other pluses... -Ryan (the service advisor) contacted me almost daily to give me a status update on the vehicle. The vehicle remained with them for 3 days, I was not in a rush as this was a secondary car. -He also documented a comprehensive report of my concerns about the vehicle in their system. -Their shop in Sterling is very clean, kid-friendly, with ample snacks and tidbits. It is the nicest shop I have ever step foot in. It has a personal touch and does not feel corporate. read more

I brought my 2011 Hyundai Genesis v8 in today for an alignment and once again, these guys have crushed it with incredible customer service and top notch quality. They have treated me so well from my first phone call until I came to pick up my car later on. Ryan was the gentleman who took care of me and he deserves an award for his friendly, knowledgeable, caring attitude and professionalism! Once I took it for a test drive after the repair, my car went from pulling hard to the right, to now driving straight as an arrow, due to their excellent attention to detail, great mechanic, and top notch equipment. They even printed out the computer laser read out- depicting how far out of alignment my car was, and how they had brought it back into proper spec. These guys deserve to have great customers and hope they get a lot of new business in this new location. I cannot day enough good things about this shop. I will be using this shop exclusively for all my auto repair/maintenance needs and do not trust any of the other shops out there right now. As far as I'm concerned, a lot of those other shops deserve to lose business to great new shops like this who actually care about their customers and want to earn their business. Excellence in all aspects of the word. This is a new location for Casey's, who've served the Chantilly area for a long time. Bryan Is the owner and had personally helped us numerous times. Everyone I've referred to Casey's has been really glad I did. The best trait of Casey's, is how trustworthy they are. They aren't in it to jack up a service bill with "extras." He always breaks it down for me - "here is what I really recommend you do now, here is some stuff but can probably wait", etc. They are fair, and stand by their work. If something isn't right they will go into their own pockets to make it right. Lastly, they've really become an innovator for how an auto shop experience should be done in the past couple years. Most shops are dark, dirty, just aesthetically not great. But hey, you're there to get a car fixed, doesn't have to be clean, right? That's what they've changed. You can have both. It's clean, comfortable, and a nice atmosphere in their stores. They've got a whole area that helps if you have to bring your kids, very helpful. They've also adopted a nice system utilizing text messages to get work approved, etc. Makes things much easier if you're at work in meetings so you don't have to take a call unless needed. My wife went here after going to Hogan and Son's in South Riding. Hogan and Son's tried scamming her by telling her she needed a brake fluid flush and the 3-year old Toyota Prius did not pass their inspection. The report Hogan's sent shows the brake fluid is between the Max and the Min and it is just fine. She went to Casey's and James Abbott pointed this out to her and said the car is just fine. Their report was very detailed with pictures and she is very happy with the results and will be going here from now on. They employee's were very nice, knowledgeable and respectful. Came in for oil change at the recommendation of my wife, she had said the waiting area was super nice, everyone was awesome and not pushy or trying to upsell her on stuff. So I had somewhat high expectations, and they were surpassed. I came in for an oil change, but also needed a inspection. Unfortunately one of my fog lights was broken so I said hold off on it. Next thing I know they're telling me they've fixed the foglight and that I passed inspection! There was also a woman who came in to drop off car for some routine stuff but had to get back to work before they'd be done so she said she'd call a co-worker to picker her up. Instead of having to do that they let her take a loaner car until she came to pick up her car, I wasn't used to that! Oh, and there's soda and snacks and stuff that's free, WiFi, and everyone was super nice. Will definitely be recommending this to others in the area. read more

Brought to Casey's for the pre-purchase inspection, and the first post-purchase round of maintenance and could not be happier with the service and experience. Casey's knows what they are doing, but know even more about taking care of their customer. They always seem to be able to get me a quick appointment, finish the job quickly, and, above all else, give me honest vehicle advice I can trust. They even offered to give me a ride home after drop-off and brought the car to my home once service was complete. Great service, great work, great price, great people! These are really honest and trustworthy guys. I came in for an oil change, and they did exactly what I asked for, at an unbeatable price, no less! My favorite part is that they were very low-pressure and did not try to shove any unnecessary repairs onto me. (I've brought the same vehicle, a 2011 Toyota Camry to other shops, and have literally heard things like I needed a new battery, new transmission/brake/power steering fluid, new brake pads, etc. I stay up to date on my car and know for a fact I don't need any of these things!) Casey's did a free inspection with the oil change and did find that the cabin air filter was dirty, which I already knew about and had been planning to do myself. What I loved is that they conveyed this to me through a convenient app they have, which tells you the condition of your vehicle, part-by-part, not whether you need repairs or replacement. They let *you* tell *them* if you want anything else. I knew Casey's assessment was accurate, so I asked them how much they would charge to replace the cabin air filter, and their quote was just a couple dollars more than if I had bought the air filter and did it myself! Their waiting area is very open, bright, and doesn't smell like oil and machinery! They have free snacks and refreshments, and an adorable puppy for me to cuddle with while I waited! These guys are really great, and whenever you come in, you get the peace of mind knowing that they will do good, honest work for you and your car. Casey's has provided me with 5-star service both times that I have been there. They are honest and generous in what they charge for diagnosis. At one point they didn't even charge me anything, even though the initial quote was for about $110 for AC evacuation and recharge (Dealer quoted $240 for the same). Since then they have already saved me money on another car, for which I was told by a different shop, that needed a new Alternator. The Alternator was perfectly fine.
