Came into the store looking for some peonies to put together myself. I walked in and no one acknowledged me. I ended up saying hi to one of the associates and he didn't even say hi back ! I walked through the entire place with really nice decor (and super expensive) and two other female associates also did not acknowledge or ask if I needed help. I was felt invisible and ignored in the store. Or maybe because I'm Asian and everyone in there is Caucasian ? Whatever it is this place was not welcoming at all ! The prices are ridiculous ! A plastic lemon cost $5 that can be bought for a buck or two and circle glass decors you put into a decorative plate is well over $27 for ONE glass decor piece. Over priced or maybe I don't have a $1.5 mil house to afford these made in China silk flowers and plastics. Make sure you look like you have money in order for someone to help or notice you. Otherwise, don't bother and save your money. Other than the above, place is nice and clean. Wide range of flowers and place is sprayed with nice fragrance to make it appear like inside has real flowers when they carry only silk and plastic. read more

I think I've found my new favorite place to buy silk flowers! This place is INCREDIBLE. There's a huge selection of florals in varying price ranges. Rick was super wonderful in helping me curate flowers for my wedding bouquet. The bouquet is based on a 17th century Dutch floral painting. Rick helped me find flowers that matched the color, feel, and essence of the painting. He has a great eye and I would recommend working with him. read more

It's that time again for me to go on my yearly visit to one of Santa's workshops, Aldik. How could there not be a Santa? When you experience this place you will start to "believe". This place would not exist otherwise if there wasn't that jolly good man. There is no decoration that you can't find here. This place is all (24,000 sq. feet of it) and everything Christmas and other holidays. All you need is imagination a full wallet. People checking out around me were spending thousands and this is easy to do here. You can find that special yearly ornament or get everything you need for that $500 a plate Christmas fundraiser. There is no excuse not to pretty up the holidays, it's all here and people to help as well. This place with definitely put you in the holiday mood. You have to at least visit this place once.....and bring your out of town friends when they visit this time of year, its an attraction Allow yourself some time to wander through this Winter Wonderland. If you miss Stats in Pasadena, you should visit Aldik. The store is on the pricier end, but they truly do have beautiful holiday decorations and ornaments. Even if you don't spend a lot of money here, the store and staff have a lot of great ideas. I haven't been in here other than for Xmas decoration shopping, but I definitely plan to go once the holidays are over and people aren't trying to kill me in the parking lot. read more

I love this place to zone out. Customer service is wonderful. The day I stopped in I wasn't planning on buying anything. They remembered I bought flower arrangements and centerpieces for a huge Veterans' party three years ago. They have a wonderful Christmas store at the rear of the store. I heard about this store from a mutual friend and had to make the drive all the way from OC and it was 100% worth it! I completely fell in love with this store as they had lots to offer! It is a little pricy but it didn't matter to me because the quality is everything to me. Aldik is literally every christmas decorators dream come true! I can't believe how beautiful this store is. It is the ultimate store for Christmas. High end, beautifully made and organized. I have never met so many helpful, knowledgeable, warm and pleasant people. I went to a free mantle decorating class. Two designers were in charge. They had so much helpful information. The mantle was remarkable. Coffee and pastries were waiting for us when we came in. Large inventory prices range from moderate to pricey-high end. I find Aldik to be a great source for Interior Designers. Not only do they have great artificial flowers/plants but they have beautiful accessories as well. I love working with the people there. I do a lot of custom flower arrangements and find that Robert, Kim and Sheri are all so talented. If I need trees, Teo is so quick to help out and always on time for delivery! I always have a great experience when I walk in that store. read more

I'm updating my review for Aldik because their store manager, Bryan, followed through on his promise to fix our Christmas tree. I dropped our tree off at 9am on a Monday and received a phone call about an hour later letting me know it was ready to be picked-up. When I arrived at the store, Bryan plugged the tree in to show me that it was working properly. He was kind enough to give a complimentary Light Keeper Pro to check the bulbs each season. I was very impressed with his customer service skills, along with the other employees that assisted me that day. I plan to return this December to purchase more holiday decor. Thank you. read more

I've been a professional set decorator for 25 years. For the most part, customer service these days is wretched. I often leave stores dispirited, wondering how they stay in business, if they chose their staff because they were actively searching for lazy, unmotivated, disinterested and surly people. Imagine my surprise when I went to Aldiks, and walked into a store where everyone cared, everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. This is one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. The range of silk flowers is unusual, exotic, and of top quality. It's worth driving across Los Angeles to shop here. But what takes it over the top is a staff that's everything you could want from customer service, and then some: welcoming, polite, well-informed, attentive, funny. These are people who love their work, and know how to make you feel welcome. Kudos to Michael Perez, the store manager, who was delightful. I even got a beautiful corporate card in the mail from him a few days later. This store blows away the competition, like Moskatels/Michaels downtown,which has a mediocre, conventional, generic selection of silks, and miserable workers who don't give a damn what kind of shopping experience you have, and who speed away from you when you approach, much like those Home Depot employees, who, when you actually catch up to them, always say "That's not my department". This store is worth the trip on so many different levels, if you're looking for extraordinary silk flowers, you'll find them here, and you'll leave absolutely dazzled by a level of service that you rarely, if ever, experience anywhere else. I went in to purchase a whole new set for my 8ft Christmas tree and spent four hours in the store picking out ornaments. Joanne was amazing and helped me with the color scheme and how to put everything together. By the end my cart was about $600 and we were also planning on purchasing a new tree which would been around $1,500. As we got to a register a lady was noticeably furious with the management and yelling at them saying they should have signs saying that the Christmas items were non refundable or exchangeable. I was not sure if my design would come out the same way Joanne's did and if I would need all of the picked out ornaments or if I would need to come back for more. So after the manager was done with the furious customer, I spoke to him and explained my situation. He just kept saying "it's too close to Christmas". Last tree I had was around $4,000 and all the ornaments were refundable/exchangeable prior to Christmas day. It's not even the fact that that's the company policy, I get it. But as a consumer I would've loved to not WASTED FOUR HOURS. The manager wouldn't even listen and did not agree that there needed to be signs up constantly saying "our cashiers tell you as they ring you up". SO? That's not what I cared about, what I cared about was wasting four hours of my day for no reason. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I would not recommend anyone to go there just for the sake of that manager and will never get my business. This store lost over $2,000 just from me because of him. read more
