    Steak tacos double rice
    Kia C.

Small beautiful intimate restaurant, parking was fair. Walking in I got greeted right away, I placed my order of the dinner combination 2 steak tacos with double rice no beans. I got a side order of cheese, I thought I was going to get cotija instead I got shredded American. Interesting for a Mexican style taco I got my cilantro on the side. Beautiful display digging in the rice was overly salty even for me .. was a bit disappointed. The tortilla was cooked well I loved that but it was oily. Steak was steak needed the salt, I wanted salsa verde they didn't have it only hot and hotter lol over all I wouldn't be back I appreciated giving alegrias a try very nice service!

Small little place, mainly for take-out orders, but there is seating incase you wanted to dine-in. Was greeted and helped, very friendly staff, felt welcome. I ordered the fish tacos with rice and refried beans, it was SOOO GOOOOD probably one of the best fish tacos ive had and the refried beans + rice were good asf too. This hit so hard, i will definitely be coming back.

We had an excellent lunch here. Sometimes you're not sure you'll agree with the Yelp reviews, but this set was right on. Yes, it's a tiny hole in the wall place. Located on the west side of Andrews Avenue at the south end of the strip and at the corner of the street. We parked a couple doors north and walked over. Inside, there are only two small tables and one booth. I ordered a couple tacos and my husband had a burrito. They were doing a lot of take out when we were there. Many of the people stopping by were long time, regular customers. One guy said he'd been coming here for twelve years! I asked and they said the woman cooking has been doing so in the same location for 18 years. We dined in (we got the booth!). I had one chicken taco and one asada (steak). Both meats were well cooked, nicely seasoned, and hot off the grill. Even the taco "shells" were warmed. With mild white onions and cilantro, they were some of the better tacos I've ever had. I didn't need to add a thing. My husband's veggie burrito was packed with lettuce, tomato, avocado, onions, jalapeños, and sour cream. He said it was good. But he wished they'd added the cheese he'd wanted, too. They have Mexican sodas, and even Inca cola. We just shared a canned soda (American) and they nicely gave us a couple cups of ice. They now have Mexican ice cream bars in several flavors for dessert. And they're contemplating adding a couple other options as well. And yes, I'd come back.

Five Star Tacos! Five Star Burritos! Small corner shop turning out some really great authentic Mexican fare! My Veggie Burrito was very generous and satisfying!

Omg this has to be the best fish tacos I ever had. I pass by this taco spot everyday and Ive always been curious about it. Glad I took a chance. When entering the restaurant you're greeted immediately. They are super friendly and helpful. The ambiance is nice. Small but super intimate. You could seat inside or outside. This a family owned restaurant. I got the fish tacos and it was amazing. Fresh and delicious. The portion size was perfect. The also have vegan options. I've been here twice since. This place is a true gem.

Hidden gem with huge flavor. This little hole-in-the-wall spot serves truly authentic tacos made with fresh ingredients and warm, friendly service. A must-try if you're craving the real thing.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. One thing I was not prepared for was the lack of seating and how incredibly small it was. But the amazing customer service and flavorful food made up for it. The Tacos exceeded my expectations. While waiting for our food to be prepared we had the privilege to speak to the husband of the owner, he honestly made us feel like family. I can't say enough good things about the food here and how fresh it is. The burritos were huge and full of fresh ingredients and flavors, the tacos were amazing and the rice and beans perfectly complemented the food.

The size of the restaurant may be "small" as some of the other reviews have mentioned but it's MIGHTY. The expression "good things come in small packages" is an understatement with this place. Cozy and warm from the authentic decor, pleasant owners and love poured into the food you can taste with every bite. Their service is impeccable! I needed a last minute order of 200 tacos (with sides) for my office and they over delivered! From the quality of food, the careful packaging, and the being able to complete the order within 2 hours is unheard of but they were able to do it - MIGHTY INDEED. I highly recommend this establishment for all my taco lovers! You won't be disappointed

We live really close to this little gem, always wanted to try it and FINALLY made it there for lunch today. What a huge loss that we waited so long! Their food is so good. I ordered the 2 carna asada taco lunch special which came with beans and rice. My husband ordered the carnita taco lunch special. The meat was so flavorful and juicy. The rice was fluffy, the beans were topped with melted cheese. We ordered a side of chips and salsa. The chips were warm, crunchy and seemed freshly made. Absolutely amazing lunch.Somewhat limited seating, most people were ordering carry-out. We will not wait too long to return here to eat.

Brissa our waitress was wonderful very attentive, friendly & welcoming. There was an older gentlemen - I didn't get his name. He was extremely nice, kept coming by to see if all was okay & collected our empty margarita glasses. We ordered the carnitas, chorizo & steak tacos. 6 in total & filling. All delicious especially that they make their own tortillas! Now let's discuss the salsa. Can you make the salsa bowls slightly bigger. Or less chips because the salsa finishes & you have plenty of chips leftover. I didn't want to keep paying for salsa just to finish the chips. I will definitely be visiting again and bringing some friends!

Instead of the usual cheese stuffed poblano pepper I opted for steak + cheese, which also had some veggies in it. Very tasty. El G is a charming place and the servers are nice and efficient. We arrived at 1 pm which we found out was the perfect time. It got very busy later. Can't wait to go back with others.

It's so good I've already gone two weeks in a row and I'm pretty sure it's about to become a regular thing for me. One of my favorite parts about this place is that the owners are actually the chefs in the kitchen, preparing all of the dishes themselves. They're incredibly friendly and even come out to chat with guests, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The barbacoa tacos are hands down my favorite. The meat is unbelievably tender literally falling apart and so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the campechano tacos (a mix of chorizo and steak) and they were sooo good. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table. It has the perfect smoky kick and just elevates every bite. The guac and chips were good, though they didn't quite stand out compared to how incredible the tacos were. But honestly, those tacos alone are reason enough to keep coming back. Safe to say I've found my new Taco Tuesday spot . Can't wait for my next visit!

Said to pick up by 12:21. I arrive at 12:40 and there was no order. She wanted me to wait at the bar for my food. I told here I had a meeting at 1:00 and I was trying to quickly get some food before my meeting. I had no time to wait. That is why I ordered in advance. My response was "it's Menudo, it should already be made, just scoop me a bowl and let me go". She said, "no we have to make it" which makes no sense. Menudo is slow cooked or pressure cooked for hours. It is not a "made to order" item. In fact, most places have it only on certain days and when it is gone, it is gone. Which tells me their menudo is frozen and they needed to heat it up. I have no idea why this place has 4 stars. It was as empty as the first time I tried to give this place a try a couple of years ago when they charged me an insane amount of money for a salad that barely had any chicken on it. I should have trusted my gut. I was fooled by the new rating status which is clearly reviews done by friends or paid reviewers. If I could give a place a 0 I would. I just might be hungry but it was a huge waste of my previous time.
