We have dined at the original Cielto Lindo many times and always had wonderful meals. The closest one to us, in Pompano, on Dixie Hwy. has closed. Luckily this one in Oakland Park is located fairly close and has ample parking. For lunch we stopped in and were immediately given a friendly greeting and seated in a close by booth. As we looked over the lunch specials we saw some of our favorite dishes. I went with the Ropa Vieja, white rice and black beans and sweet plantains. I also had the chicken soup starters and it was packed with lots of chicken. Our food was served in a reasonable amount of time as the place started to fill with other lunch time diners. A great lunch and full bellies!

Party of 20 and everything was pretty much on point. From the hospitality to the getting the food correct. Food was delicious, portions were great. Waitress made sure refills were topped off without asking, in the beginning chips were always filled. I don't have no complaints too honest and will definitely be back again.

Cinco de Mayo!!! No place better!!! With plenty of free parking, I started with a Gold Margarita. The menu provided numerous choices. The lunch menu offered lots of Mexican and Spanish choices. Today I chose a burrito Lindo. With chicken and beans. As soon as you sit down, you are served chips and homemade salsa. There's plenty of food, so expect to leave very full. The service is excellent and the food authentic. I got here before the crowds. But it always feels welcoming and friendly. With Mexican artworks and pottery throughout you feel like you're in Mexico!

I came in for a Cinco de Mayo dinner. Both locations were slammed but I picked this one because it is more spacious than the Pompano outpost on Dixie Hwy. It was still half hour wait when I walked in the door but I didn't have a problem grabbing a Corona from the bar and sitting outside while I waited for a table. By the time I was seated the restaurant was actually starting to clear out. Cinco de Mayo is one of their busiest days. For dinner I enjoyed their complimentary chips and my usual order of chicken soup and fajitas. They had a mariachi band for the holiday and $5 margarita specials, frozen or on the rocks. The atmosphere was festive and I know I made the perfect choice of restaurant to dine and celebrate at. If crowds aren't your thing you can go any other night of the week and never have to wait. I have been a Cielito Lindo fan for over 20 years and the food never disappoints.

Service is so bad a slow! Food as salty they didn't offer to change just said okay sorry and left us there

Met up with some relatives here for dinner on their recommendation. Made it for happy hour, so that was a plus! Grabbed a couple of $10 house margaritas and snacked on their chips and salsa. The place has a very colorful vibe - lots of orange, red, and green, you know it's intended to feel like a Mexican restaurant. Not an overly extensive menu; the Mexican consisted of mostly tacos, burritos, fajitas, a few enchilada options, steaks, and a chimichanga, and they also included some Spanish options. I'm a huge fan of chorizo so I was a bit disappointed that there was none. No birria, al pastor, or tamales that I noticed, either. We ordered a queso but it never came. I ordered the chicken enchiladas suizas, which came with beans and rice, and a side of platanos maduros, my father in law had some ground beef tacos, my wife had "el grande burrito", my mother in law and cousin both had chicken fajitas, and another cousin had mahi tacos. The food was fine, everything tasted good. It fit the expectation of American Mexican food. Service was friendly enough, if somewhat slow. For my second drink, I ordered a Mexican Painkiller, which I wouldn't get again. It was strong, but the flavors just didn't work for me and I regretted not just sticking with the margarita, which was tasty. Certainly not the worst Mexican meal I've ever had. It was just alright. Might need to give it some time and revisit.

A sample of the plentiful and delicious authentic Mexican food they serve. I think these are called Enchiladas! ;)

I came back here in February had the absolute worst experience reached out privately to the company…read moreand they have not ever responded back to me. They were understaffed on a Friday night and had no table service but you had to place your order at the bar. Well the first time I placed an order at the bar it took over 20 minutes of standing and waiting. Everyone sitting at the bar got priority even if they just sat down and the bar tenders had noticed me waiting. At the end of the night my elderly mother was standing at the place of the bar to take orders wanting to close out our check. The one woman bar tender took someone else who came up afterwards and then left leaving my mother to stand there for more time. After my mother expressed she just wanted to close our tab she was rudely told she just has to wait her turn. I eventually came to my mom asking what is taking so long. When the woman finally came over my mother repeated again she just wanted to close out our tab. She rolled her eyes and handed us the bill, my mom then mentioned she had been standing there for a really long time which was enough to set off the woman. She then started yelling at us that she knows how to do her job and doesn't need to be told how to do it by someone else then told us we paid and to "Get OUT!!". I'm sorry I run a business and have supported many local businesses and I have never in my life experienced or treated customers that way, even when I wanted to. At this point I was not standing for this attitude and called over what looked like the bar lead over to discuss this disgusting behavior. While talking to the lead/manager about the situation it was hard to get a word in edgewise since the barmaid that was able to ignore us standing around for 20+ minutes kept coming over to continue yelling and getting more and more irritated. Probably because her little power trip of trying to embarrass us to get the hell out didn't work and now her behavior was being discussed. I run a local bookclub that has brought in large groups of people multiple times on dead nights into VooDoo. If this is how anyone is allowed to be treated I will not subject my members to such treatment. We were not offered a refund and they charged us full price while we were there during Happy Hour as well. There are too many breweries in a rock throw if this place and other places that treat me well that I don't need to go back. If you want a better recommendation go to Black Flamingo. This could have been a different outcome if one employee who should not be in any form of customer service or working with the public had simply said "sorry we are crazy tonight, training a new hire and busier than usual I'll be back as soon as I can" or "Hey, where are you sitting? I don't know how long I will be since it's crazy busy I'll come to you when I'm available" would have changed the whole situation completely.

When we were first seated, our server unfortunately wasn't very friendly or attentive, which set a disappointing tone at the start. However, I brought the concern to the manager, Tonya, and she handled the situation immediately. She was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. You can tell she truly cares about the guest experience, and her quick action completely turned things around for us. After that, everything improved. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with plenty of space for a larger group like ours. The food came out fresh and promptly and the drinks were just as good. Reds is a really nice, super friendly bar and just about the only straight bar in Wilton Manor. It's also a great place to check out the tramp stamps that some of the middle age chicks are sporting. LOL! The unique thing about Red's is that it is actually the only "straight" bar I know of located in Wilton Manor. So it isn't unfunny to see a bunch of "straights" huddled together as a minority group in what is an otherwise gay community. For fear that I might inadvertently capture some wandering gay guy in Wilton Manors only straight bar, thereby devastating his otherwise good upstanding reputation for being a gay or worse the possibility of a suspension or revocation of his gay membership card, I didn't take any interior pictures. However, the interior is rather bright, clean and charming. And, for those it might interest, the best, the most fun night is "Women's Lingerie Night;" ask your bartender for details, and no, there is nothing gay about it or about the place at all, unless of course it might be me.
