This was my first time ever visiting this shop. I was I interested in finding a nail salon nearby that didn't grind the nail bed. The vibe there was friendly and I was happy with my service - even scheduled my next appointment before I left. That was on Thursday and less than five days later I notice green coloring under each nails in the corners of both sides close to the cuticle! I have never in all the many many years of getting my nails done has a nail fungus and that includes me doing my own nails using Shellac and acrylic. I don't know if the tools used were sanitized, which I hoped they were. Unfortunately, I have no clue because this is a first for me. $85 nails, that I'm currently popping off and hands full of nail funguses! This has been the worst nail salon experience ever! Don't trust the hype - something is seriously flawed here. I'm disgusted and furious!

The acrylic application was very thick and messy all around the cuticle bed. When she attempted to file and clean down the acrylic, the electric file was pressed too aggressively into the natural nail surface, creating deep grooves and severe unevenness that thinned out my nail beds. The filing technique also caused painful irritation to the skin around my nails. It's been 3 days and my hands are still extremely sore and sensitive. I had not gotten my nails done in months and they were very healthy, so this was not previous damage at all. I also got a pedicure and noticed she used a worn nail file and retrieved tools out of a generic container rather than a freshly sanitized set.

Chin believes only in soaking off the existing nails and will not hurry the visit by using the grinder most places use. He explained to me that it wears away at the strength of my natural nail and that I should insist my nail salon back home takes the time to soak off my nails. With that being said, Chin took great care in getting my very damaged and very short nails back to looking really nice, and we agreed only one tip for a nail that I had bit off so short it was painful. An chimed in on the color selection, and the two of them got me to a beautiful shade of champagne. As I sat in their salon, I lost sight of the fact that I was right off Eastern Avenue.
