Delivery orders are a 50 / 50 proposition - you order online, you wait for the order to be accepted by the restaurant, the order gets accepted, you're notified your order is in process, online tracker says your driver is on their way to the restaurant to pick up your order..... tick tock tick tock - you refresh your order status screen 45 to 60 minutes after placing your order and get a big fat NOTHING BURGER - we're sorry, "your order has been cancelled" and even though we withdrew funds from your debit card when you placed the order, not only did we screw you by cancelling your order, but you are notified that you will see your refund "in 5 to 7 business days" - uhh.... screw that! You take my $$ immediately upon order placement, but my refund for you CANCELLING my order will take "5 to 7" days???? I stayed in Granbury for a race I was doing fairly nearby and wanted some carbs beforehand and a celebratory meal afterward. Decided to get a pizza and split it over two days. I was glad to have found Mamas Pizza, which had a gluten free cauliflower crust option, just a half mile from my hotel. The ordering was easy, the staff member very pleasant and the timing was great for a Friday night. The pizza itself was OK. The vegetarian option came with one serving of both green and black olives, along with some other staples. Not the diversity of options I wanted. I also asked to sub spinach for the jalapenos. The photos shows they took out the jalapenos, but I don't see any evidence of spinach. Be forewarned: the cauliflower crust is a $6 upcharge, which is excessive. So I'm not a big fan of buffets and all-you-can-eat options. And while the lunch option was tempting, we decided just to order a large pie. We did not eat the whole thing, and the cost was less than 2 lunch buffets. And I had a slices for lunch the next day! The pizza was OK. I'm not a big fan of thick(er) crust, but when thin and thick crust are the same price, well I go for the more filling. On our visit (it was late 2021) canned and bottle beer was an option, and draft might be coming. Salad bar was small, but it seemed the offerings were OK. So excited to see that Mamas pizzas has branched into Granbury! We stopped in on day 2 in business to try the pizza buffet. Easy to order at the counter and jump in line. $12 gets you all you can eat pizza, salad and a drink. The buffet is tiny but well stocked and the staff kept the hot pie coming. This pizza joint is our normal go to to get our pizza fix but Friday evening was a little off pace. Besides paying 20 bucks for a three topping medium pizza, we asked for a crispy crust and it seems that they have a problem cooking your 20 dollar pizza the way you want. I asked then to cook and crisp the crust up a little and they responded that once the pizza is sliced, it can't be placed back in the oven. That was a lie because they have done it before. If you are there to pick up, please notice your receipt where they charge you 25 cents for pick up your pizza. Do they realize if you eat in then they have to buss tabkes and clean plates and utensils. I usually like the pizza, but they are pricing themselves out of business. read more

Disregard the negative comments, they seem to generally be disgruntled Joe's fans... as am I! But it's not because of the pizza! Pizza buffets are typically below average at best, but this one is better than most! I grew up on Mama's Pizza in Arlington, and there's no better pizza in Granbury than Mama's! This is the 3rd time I've ordered (very expensive orders) from doordash and they got order wrong. 1st time missing sauce 2nd time no cheese on the cheese sticks, just dry, weird tasteless bread arrived in the box. 3rd time ordered a supreme pizza and a little bitty cheese pizza arrived. ***check your order before you leave the store or you will be disappointed & don't use DoorDash. The order will not be fixed and they will just give you a partial refund, no apologies. I live out in the boonies so my choices are limited, but I'm done with them after this time. When Mama"s first opened we went there and it was the best pizza we had had in Granbury. Our daughter and son-in-law were in town this weekend and I told them where we could get a really good pizza. Boy was I mistaken. It was Saturday night and I was surprised to find it almost empty, although there were several people that came in to pick up carry out orders. We live in walking distance and so we frequently got dinner to go from Joe's. We were super disappointed when Joe's closed because we could get real entrees for dinner & didn't have to drive. We ordered walked over & brought it home. I wasn't thrilled about Mama's going in, as all we were going to be able to get was pizza. But we like it. The wings are good too. I'm originally from the east coast & know what real pizza should taste like so I might not have as high expectations as some but it's pretty good. We have had a couple instances that the crust wasn't as crispy as I'd like, but it's not the norm. Everyone should recognize that this post Covid world has effected the availability of employees & just like everyone else Mamas probably struggles sometimes. I'm unclear if all the previous reviews are based on the GRANBURY location. Last December the family and I took a trip to Maryland where we tasted some of the best pizza we have ever had. Two places in town have pizza comparable to the northeast. The brew and mamama's Pizza. The location has plenty of parking you can even park across the street if you have a large trailer or large truck. The atmosphere is by no means loud and we've eaten here close to 20 times. The TVs in the room are turned down but they do have sports playing on them and with request they can change the channel. The salad bar they offer it's stocked with the variety of foods. Lettuce, spinach, carrots, pickles, shredded cheese, six different dressings, chocolate pudding, olives etc. Each time we've eaten at mamas pizza in the pizza choices have all been somewhat different. They always have your supreme pepperoni cheese then they mix it up with a taco pizza or pineapple pizza. All hot and fresh. I rated it 4 Stars just for a few reasons. The first one has to be how often they replace the pizza at the buffet. I've only had this happen a few times but when your in a hurry you can't wait 30 minutes for a pizza you like to be replaced. Next would be crust top. There always seems to be plenty of the big fluffy crusted pizza and not thin crust. However they will take in special orders to cook and lay out pizzas of your choice. I really feel in the reviews with one or two stars did they actually come in to the restaurant more than once. I only say that because the Buffet does change each time you go. read more

We ordered & picked up a large pizza on 4/19/2023 & it was EXCELLENT! We'd ordered from them about a year or so ago? Right after they opened after loving the place in Fort Worth on Camp Bowie Road. It was AWFUL. Well, they have so cleaned up their act & the pizza is now just melt in your mouth wonderful. I've never had such great-tasting crust especially. Everyone in the office loved it & then what I took home? My mother loved it just as much & agreed, the crust is a must have. So don't do the thin crust, get the regular. Can't go wrong with this place. We were so pleased & in fact, we're ordered a giant pizza today for lunch!
