Christa amazing and always a welcoming. In fact the whole team at Alfred's is like that. The place has a great vibe of regulars and new comers. Having a full bar but not that dingy atmosphere is great as it's got a vibe of neighborhood hangout with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is very good and the selections are varied that you got excellent choices you can't go wrong with. Service is again awesome. So awesome service, great food, solid atmosphere. Perfect trifecta!

Let me tell you this was one of the best breakfasts I've had. The deal breaker for me was the Obrien taters those were cooked perfect and my chicken fried steak was awesome and the gravy tasted awesome. If we ever come back to the tacoma area we will be back here to eat again because it's that good.

Old place but quaint. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Old classmate lunch. Three got breakfast( it looked great, huge portions and they gave a thumbs up) while my buddy and I opted for sandwiches. He had a club and needed one to whack this monster down. Plenty of food, well made and visual masterpieces. Loaded with fries. I opted for the Philly Cheesesteak and was not disappointed. Came with fries that were good but more like shoestrings and took the appeal down a notch. All in all a nice meal.

    Fun for all ages.

An establishment with such a rich history, all the way back to the 1920's. Be sure to check out the woodwork in the bar. A great menu with so many unique and traditional items. Service is great and they don't leave you waiting for ever to eat. They are accustomed to being BUSY. Great decor and fun music. Perfect Brunch local, just don't come all dressed up. It's low key, fun and delish.

Oh wow this little diner was a true gem to find. The food was outstanding the atmosphere was awesome and the place was packed. Prices were great for the amout of food you get. The food well the biscuits and gravy were so good. I recommend this little place to anyone that is over here. Will be coming back sometime in the future.

Great food... good service... great price. The place was packed which was a key indicator that we needed to try it out. I asked the server (Rozalin was the name on the bill) for a recommendation and she was kind and helpful. Really happy with this choice!

There are good and bad things about Alfred's. The building itself is very old so it has a smell to it, not unlike a public bathroom. The servers are very nice and helped us right away. The sodas tasted great and the food was good. I got the crab Benedict special and would rate it 7/10 because the crab was small bits and didn't taste awesome and had 2 shells in it. We also got two burgers and chicken strips. All the burgers except the Frisco burger listed cheese so my husband got that one because he's lactose intolerant. It came with cheese. It was insanely loud in there. The music is at a 10 and people are yelling to each other to communicate. They also charge 3.5% if you use a credit card.

Always like sitting at the bar. Perfect!!!

Years ago when she ran this bar it was the best in town and she would not let this food to be served. I will go the Huckleberry that she owns with two other steller partners and enjoy their food. The cook should check the soup pot on a regular basis to ensure that the chowder is hot and ensure that the fish is at least 135 degrees and let it warm up to over 140 degrees before serving. The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

Whenever we go there, there's never any more than 4 people there. The food ranges from pretty damn good toncredible, and for a five star restaurant, its alarmingly inexpensive. So....shhhh..... dont tell anyone. just go.

We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.
