I haven't written a Yelp review in a very long time but my frustration level with this company is beyond unbelievable. Where do I even start with this place? Repeated promises of water delivery to the office over the span of seven weeks. I had to call them daily and wait on hold for 15 minutes each time. They never showed. Last week was 8 weeks. I called and cancelled the service and told the representative I didn't know how they stayed in business. I told her to take a glance at Yelp because "you are bleeding customers like a sieve!" The rep apologized for the experience and cancelled the account. She told me the pick up of the dispenser and the five empty water bottles would be picked up on Wednesday. That day came and went. I called them on Thursday and they told me the pick up would be Friday. That day came and went. I called them today and they told me they would pick up today by 3:00. It's now nearly 5. I called them a few minutes ago and now they tell me it will be Monday! She also told me that the account isn't officially closed, it's 'pending' until the pick up of the dispensers and bottles was completed. I told the rep, "For the love of God then, pick up the damn equipment!" Note: I called Nestle and they delivered the dispensers and water on the same day. I got a call that afternoon to check on the delivery. I received an email thanking me for my business and gave me a link to automatically order more water which would be delivered same day. Much like my ex-husband, I will NEVER EVER have anything to do with Alhambra again. It's amazing to me how either one has continued to survive after all these years. Good riddance! read more

Just stay away from this company!!!!!!!! Ive got too much reasons to tell that Im tired to put here. My advice is just dont ever start any agreement with this company because it takes forever to cancel the account. I started my cancellation a month and half ago and they still on pending termination because their system says that I still have the cooler and bottles even though they already picked it up 2 weeks ago. Plus, I just got another voicemail saying that they are gonna send extra water bottles tomorrow. So tired of this. Management is totally screwed and prone to many lawsuits. I signed up through Costco on 07/29/2023 and was suppose to get delivery on 08/03 nope nothing then got a new date of 08/04 no nothing again here is another day 08/05 still nothing here is a new date 08/07 nope nothing again just bullshit after bullshit again another delivery date of 08/08 no water now they sat 08/09 I will hold my breath because probably the same thing nothing no call back from the managers as requested you call customer service same old story they will call you in an hour yeah right they don't. I have a tri-level house and wanted a water dispensary service for my downstairs. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Alhambra. They delivery my water according to my schedule, the water dispenser works great, and the water is really good. My delivery driver Jorge is friendly, communicative, and very helpful! Alhambra Water has been awful. The company I work for was using this service to buy water and we recently switched to a different service because out of the 4 times we were supposed to receive water, Alhambra Water only delivered once. Recently, the driver ran out of water so instead of going back to pick up more, he went home. I don't recommend this water service at all. read more

I am so sad to write this review. We have used Alhambra for several decades. That is not typo. I would have to say at least 30 years, maybe even more. Now, the cost of the water has gone up. They charge a delivery fee which has been going up as well and I get to pay $5 for an invoice. I basically pay an additional $28-30 in extra fees. My current bill arrived today and I received two deliveries of 4 bottles each delivery and my bill is $87! That is outrageous. I dont want to log into their website to see how much money I owe them. I shouldnt have to pay $5 to get a damn statement. I am going to have to cancel my service and I am really sad because we have the BEST driver. He knows my family and animals. He asks about us and remembers all our interests. That is what customer service should be like. Too bad they are so damn money hungry read more

I signed up and picked a date to have water delivered. They didn't show up or email/text/call. I called customer service the next day, and they said "he's coming today. You're his next stop." Never shows up. I call, and they say if a delivery is ever missed, I have to call and let them know. Seriously? I need to call every time you don't show up? Don't you know you didn't come? read more

I would save my time and go somewhere else! We used them for a couple months and the service is awful from padding my water order to late deliveries:(! And cancelling! I stopped service in November and my bottles were at 12 well they dropped 5 more full ones the first of December and charged me! I am still trying to get them to pick up I now have 120.00 in empty water bottles! I have been polite and scheduled pick ups to no avail! I have stalked the water truck to ask them to pick up the empties but was told they can't find me in the system! Today 5/2/2022 I am patiently watching the street awaiting for the truck account number in hand with a pick up request in hand! I am so distraught dealing with this company! This is the worst service I have dealt with in my life. I have been using their water delivery service for​ more than 2,5 years. I had changed​ my address once 1,5 years ago and did not have any problem. ​However, I changed my address again last month; this​ time, I got two issues. First one, I started to get billing fee for paper bills though I always have received paperless before. The second​ issue, my previous account was still active. When I agreed to receive the water service from Alahambra 2,5 years ago in a Costco store, I was told I was not going to be charged extra rather than delivered bottles and the equipment fee, which ended up is not true. There are always different charges you see on your account. While writing this review I am still on call with a ​customer service representative​ to correct my bill and my address. I think I am going to cancel my account if they can't still resolve the issues I have right now. I would not recommend their service, it is just a ​headache with phone calls. I would suggest them to give the ​ability to their customers to change their address online instead of calling customer representatives​. read more

Man what a scam. 000000 friggin stars. This company is a disaster. If it were on fire they wouldn't even have water to put it out. I signed up through Costco no less thrown 3 months ago. I got one delivery the first week, second delivery two weeks later then nothing the next month and so far the third month they have had to "reschedule" the drop off from this past Friday to today, Monday and of course they didn't show up today. Cancelling service first thing tomorrow. Honestly I should've looked up the company history but I didn't think it was something that warranted a background check to get water deliver. It's astonishing that a company could screw up this much. Deliver water. Pick up empties. Yet they can't do either. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Received a letter from a collection agency, stating that we owed $150.00. Called the company and was told that we had not paid our bill in 3 months. I explained that we had not gotten a bill from them. Was told that bills were sent electronically to my e mail. Went through every e mail for past 4 months in both inbox and spam. No correspondence. We immediatly paid the bill and were told that they were dropping us as customers. Was also told that the manager of the Edison, NJ office would be in touch to pick up our dispenser. That was 3 weeks ago and no call. Today we got another collection letter for the despenser. Next e mail is going to Better Business Bureau. read more

Terrible customer service, our water cooler broke and we called for a replacement and were promised on 3 different occasions that the driver would be coming with a new one. Even when the driver would drop off more water bottles and I would ask him about our replacement cooler he would say "I don't have anything on my truck for you" we have had it with this terrible service. They continue to promise to take care of the issue we have been having since September but never did yet they continue to charge us for the service each month. We are done. read more

There should be zero stars option for companies like this one, It is worse service I've ever met. I've ordered Distilled and Spring Water with cooler. After 1 month they delivered standard filtered water that is hardly better than water from pipe. And which is more important, they signed me into their water delivery service, so that twice a month I have received that pipe-quality water. During the process of account termination they delivered me twice, 2 bottles each time. Since I did not even asked their stupid service, and did not used that water, I've asked to get that bottles back and return my money, they declined that and said that there is not way to do that. So, bad service, pipe-quality water, no respect to the client, you never know what exactly you will receive. read more

Plus the customer service number changes all the time and you have to wait at least 30 mins just to talk to someone. Here is the letter I sent to Alhambra today: Regarding a new -- now cancelled -- account, I want to express my disappointment in the Alhambra customer service. We had placed an order last Wednesday for ongoing monthly service at our house, as Alhambra offered a great selection and price. We scheduled our first delivery online for Friday, May 22 in the afternoon. As this was our first delivery, it was made clear on the website that somebody needed to be home to coordinate dispenser set up and where water was to be delivered / picked up in the future. My wife stayed home Friday afternoon to wait for the delivery. No one came. I called and was told they were unable to locate the driver, but would call me back when they did. I called again two hours later and was told we had been rescheduled to Tuesday -- without confirming with me -- and a supervisor would get back to me over the weekend. Tuesday comes, and my wife was home again. Since I never heard back from a supervisor, I initiated a call to confirm the delivery. I was told they were out of stock and we had been rescheduled (again, without confirmation) to Wednesday. On Wednesday I called mid-afternoon and was told a route supervisor would give me a call back. Nobody called back. I called again after 5pm and was redirected to a supervisor. That supervisor tried to reach a route supervisor, but was unable and left them a message. I was told the order had been placed, and they could deliver tomorrow (Thursday) and leave everything outside, possibly in the back yard. We would have had to bring everything in, and set up the dispenser ourselves. If this was an option to begin with, and we didn't have to be here, my wife would not have had to miss three days of work as we were rescheduled over and over again, and not contacted ONCE. Once the supervisor told me that, we decided to cancel. If it takes this much effort to have a first delivery, then we would rather not continue with the service. As stated earlier, we were looking forward to starting our service, but very disappointed it did not work out. Thank you for your time, and for reading all of this. If you never read another Yelp review PLEASE pay attention to this one! I would NEVER recommend Alhambra Water services even to my worst enemy. IF you get your water delivered to you (home accounts) on time consider yourself lucky. I put up with the service for years; call me a glutton. I signed up at Costco so I thought it would be a decent service. Several times over the years, and by several I'm being kind, water was not delivered on the date that was scheduled. I called and I called to rectify the non delivery. The water usually showed up three or four days later. This last time was the final straw. Water was supposed to be delivered on 12/14/18. It didn't show up so I called on 12/15/18, and pleaded my case. The issue was "sent to a manager" and would be "handled ASAP". Riiiiiight! So fast forward to 12/18/18, I call to cancel my service and tell them to come get my three empty bottles and the water dispenser. Please keep in mind that I've only ever had three 5 gallon bottles on hand. Maybe once or twice over the years I've had four bottles at home because of botched deliveries. While I'm on the phone, the girl tells me that she sees that I have NINE bottles here. She tells me that three were delivered on 12/14/18, as part of the regularly scheduled delivery, and three more were delivered on 12/17/18, due to my call saying that none were delivered on 12/14/18. Keep in mind that I'm retired and I'm home pretty much all day. She tells me to check my property for bottles that may have been left somewhere else. My house sits on a whopping 5000 square foot lot (verified by Zillow). Now I have to combat them over six bottles that I NEVER had. Long story short, service is cancelled and I'm rolling with the Culligan Man. read more

And i called their customer service, dailed 2 for "existing customer",i called them in 4 different days in a week, and each time waited through the phone more than 1 hour, and i never got anyone answering me at all, i am so sick of that waiting piano music now... And one time, i tried to dail "1" for new customer, i got connected right away, and the lady who answered the phone transferred me to "2" immediately when she heard i was not new customer, then i entered that long waiting loop again..... I really doubt whether they ever had anyone hired for existing customer, I wrote them email, and left the notes on their website, none of those work. Not consistent. When I have to call customer service to remind them that they have forgotten my water delivery it takes about 1 hour to get a hold of someone. This business is going downhill. I am writing this review because of my experience with the San Jose Downtown unit of Alhambra water. 1. I've had to call them every time my delivery date approached and only after repeated complaints they deliver water. The same scenario repeats on most scheduled delivery dates. They are never on time. 2. I was a Costco member. I signed up for their services because I received a discounted rate. However the discounted price never reflected on my monthly bill. I had to call the customer service rep every time by bill was generated to have them correct my bill amount. I am highly disappointed by their service. read more

Apparently Alhambra does not believe in customer retention. I've had their service for a few months and from the start, they are consistently late. I keep calling in to see why and I get the same answer "we can call over to your area distributor to see what they are late." And then it takes them another week to deliver my order!!!! Alhambra is drowning in their own water... I order online, everything is good to go, delivery starts in two weeks. Fast forward to day of first delivery and Alhambra calls saying "We don't deliver to your address". They could have said that online or any time the last 14 days... Wow what horrible service. Trash customer service along with trash supervisors. Disgusting display of customer service from this company and their counterparts. Less than 1 star. Edit- just to describe exactly what happened for people who try and deal with this company again. The company name is primo water/ds waters services, they are the broker for all the water delivery. All I did was change my address and for some reason that proved too difficult for the company and the employees. 2 weeks later and 10 different employees, 4 different supervisors and the customer service manager later, I finally received my order. I had employees telling me the wrong address multiple times, supervisors mixing up the addresses, supervisors straight up lying to me about their business hours, broken promises from supervisors, I had employees lying to me about not being able to talk to a supervisor, denied me supervisors multiple times, the own manager couldn't get in contact with the branch manager for days, I offered every solution under the sun but they refused everything, I even offered to pick up the equipment my self but they refused, had a supervisor literally arguing with me while saying he's not arguing with me on the phone, constant interruptions from the employees and to top it all off, NO ONE TOOK ANY RESPONSIBILITY. read more

Cancelled service last month and scheduled pickup of water dispenser and empty bottles for 02/17. A phone call was also to be made so that I would know when they were coming. No phone call - no pickup. 40+ minutes on hold and finally got a rep. 'We will pickup on Saturday 02/20, a manager will call to confirm.' Today 02/20: no phone call, no pickup. Instead I find two more bottles of water on my porch. Another call to them, another 10 minutes of hold. 'We will have the driver pickup today. We will call the manager too.' To say that I am disappointed with their service would be a GROSS understatement ! With this service you get an automated phone call every 4 weeks you to remind you of delivery the next business day. Initially it was like a clockwork, later turned into a big hassle. For the last three months called them once per month to remind them they missed the delivery, spoke to the Supervisor who promised the delivery the next day - still nothing. Call center is okay as far as professionalism and delivery reps are respectful. That is the only nice thing I can say about the company. Crystal is the distributor through DSServices. Otherwise, they suck. I called through their automated system to add a single 5 gallon jug of water to my regularly scheduled order. My "preferred delivery" day came and went. I ran out of water in the meantime. I called them and waited to speak with a body. She said there was no record of the added water but she would have the water delivered in 2 days. The new delivery date came and went - no delivery. I called again, starting to get agitated. That rep said my delivery was cancelled and suggested it was me. "No ma'am. I'm out of water; I wouldn't cancel my delivery." She informs me they don't do deliveries outside of my delivery day which is a Monday. That would be why I didn't get my water. I asked why wasn't I informed of this in the first place which she did not have an answer other than an apology for the inconvenience. She then told me she would reach out to the branch manager and have a delivery that same day. No delivery and no phone call about a reason as to why nothing was delivered. I called the next day and she said I would definitely get my water on my "preferred delivery day" as it is the preferred date set by them. She said this only because it was already at the end of the week. Mind you, it had already been 10 days since the original request/inquiry. The preferred delivery date came and went - no delivery. I called again 2 days later. Again, more apologies, more guarantees. Still no water. I called the final time at 8:45am on a non-preferred delivery date and demanded a resolution immediately. A delivery driver was there in 20 minutes with my delivery. It all started on 7/28 and I didn't have water until 8/10. Why did it have to escalate that far? I'm just in middle management and have very little choice in who my company decides to do business with. Why do I have to call DSServices to demand that they do their job? They're in the water delivery service. Deliver water !! It's not complicated. Here it is, 8/29. Same shenanigans. Same apologies. Same guarantees. I hope DSServices pays their call center reps extremely well to deal with customers like me who are frustrated with the lack of service. I have no choice but to deal with them. I'm very confused as to how they're still in business. Supervisors never call back when the reps say they will. Delivery drivers never call when the reps say they will. They don't return emails. No communication whatsoever. It's all one-sided and the customers get the short end of the stick. read more

My last delivery was missed. There's no way to move up my next delivery and of course I can only pay, but can't cancel my service online. I've tried calling every day this week and no one picks up! I'm starting to think that the only way I can get results is if I go to Costco to ask why they would partner with a company with such bad service. read more

We received a mailer with the newspaper and decided to give Alhambra a try. I went to their web page and the sign up was easy enough. I selected this morning for the delivery of the water cooler, water, and contract. I took the day off work and waited, and waited, and waited. At noon I called Alhambra's main number. A representative quickly answered and located my appointment information. She confirmed that someone should have been here this morning. She checked further and said that "the route manager " did not have me on his schedule. She said that she would have him/her call me. Four hours later I'm still waiting. In the meantime I checked the Yelp and Google reviews. I'm usually good about checking beforehand, but didn't this time. Lesson learned. I called back and canceled the service, even though I never officially signed up. The only positive thing I can say is that the two customer service reps I spoke to were polite and apologetic. I was also able to reach them very quickly. Based on the sheer number of negative reviews, I would think someone at Alhambra would read these reviews and take action because there is something very wrong with this organization. read more
