This practice is truly these most difficult dentist I have ever dealt with. I was in car accident today trying to get my appointment. Even told the police needing information that I had to let my dentist I know I was going to need to reschedule. He was not happy, but said ok. When I spoke to the dentist office they told that they would not reschedule. Reasoning was because I needed to reschedule before. I have a job that is hard to predict my schedule. Even offered to pay the visit cost and they stilled refused. This after they had canceled me 2 or 3 times because I wanted to fill out forms and insurance when I got to their. You have many options for dentists. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE. I'd give them no stars, but Yelp won't let me go that low. read more

A Practice That Betrays Loyal Patients - Beware I have been a faithful patient at Enamel Dentistry Saltillo for years and previously left a five-star review--but after my latest experience, I can no longer recommend them. Scroll to see the picture of my tooth with a chip after a cleaning. Negligence: A hygienist hit a tool against my teeth, chipping one. Instead of taking responsibility, they called it a "right place, right time" situation and framed fixing it as a "courtesy". The dental assistant didn't even state what happened. I had to go look in a mirror to see that the giant smack to my teeth resulted in a chip. Deceptive Billing: They framed my filling as a "courtesy" but still billed my insurance. If it was truly free, why charge my provider? The in office person said " they had to charge my insurance so if I get dental care elsewhere they can see what I had done". Why wouldn't I just send my medical records? Retainer Scam: Their mistake made my night guard unusable, and instead of replacing it, they ground down my tooth and retainer for 50+ minutes before I requested a replacement. It was uncomfortable and I had concerns about continuing to grind at the filling and retainer in regards to the integrity of my retainer and tooth. Fake Discounts & Cheap Materials: They claimed a "significant discount" on my new retainer, but they were actually charging full price for half a set--and only offering an inferior, in-house material instead of the high-quality Guardian material I originally had. My product only needed to be replaced due to an injury to my tooth sustained by a hygienist at this practice. Dismissive & Unethical: When I pushed for a fair resolution, they told me to go elsewhere rather than fix their mistake. I used to trust this office, but their negligence, deception, and refusal to take accountability make them a hard NO. If you value honesty, take your business somewhere else. read more

I have been a patient at Enamel for years and always had a great experience until my most recent visit. I had a new doctor and hygienist and my only explanation for the way I was treated is that they have moved to a business model of dishonestly prescribing as much treatment as possible to make money. The entire time I was there no one looked at my chart and it was clear they had no idea of my dental history- even my history at their office. They began by telling me how serious my gum recession was until I was finally able to tell them that I had been referred to a periodontist (by their office) and had gum surgery and a treatment plan for my recession. Then they moved on to telling me there was a different more vague and never fully explained problem with my teeth that could only be fixed by doubling the number of cleanings I came in for. I know that since I'm not an expert it's absolutely possible there is something wrong with my teeth, but I will find an honest dentist who listens to me and actually reads my chart to tell me if that is the case. read more

This is the best dental practice ever!! Started with the ease of entering my information over their website prior to my first visit. Upon arrival, greeted by name and with a genuine smile. Explained what was going to take place and took me for a tour of the facility (which is modern, comfortable and well equipped). Hygienist took good care of me and dentist spent time reviewing my treatment program and explaining what I needed to do. Billing was completely transparent and no attempt to upsell anything. I came in for a whitening and was blown away by this office. Not only is it located in a central and convenient location, but the office itself is beautiful. The artwork on the walls and the friendly staff really make this dental office feel like a comfortable lounge. After checking in for my appointment I was offered Nespresso or sparkling water while the room was being prepped. My whitening procedure was 20 minutes long but the time flew by! There are three screens in the room (2 directly in front of the chair and 1 on the ceiling) and I was able to chose any Netflix show while I was doing my whitening but even if you're not interested in watching anything, the music in this office is amazing! It was so difficult trying to sit still for 20 minutes because all I wanted to do was dance! My teeth have never been whiter and I feel so much more confident when I smile now. I seriously could not recommend this office enough. Dr. Gulati and his team really made me feel so special during my visit and I can't wait for my next dental appointment (never thought I would say that haha!) read more

My review is solely for Savannah - Their billing admin. She is the sole reason I will NOT be returning to this office and HIGHLY RECOMMEND you stay away. Today, I went into the office for the first time wanting to get my dental cleaning done. The dental assistant & Dr. Smalls were great in the beginning. As they were done examining my teeth they recommended that I get a periodontal cleaning done and this is where it went all downhill. Savannah- their billing admin enters the room and provides me with the treatment cost and explains to me that I haven't met my deductible for the year and would need to pay for it + the cost of the periodontal cleaning (which cost more than a regular cleaning). I was somewhat shocked in the beginning considering my deductible is only $50 and I had some dental work done earlier this year. So I asked if she could share with me my insurance eligibility document and when I asked her for that she came back with the biggest attitude. She spoke to me in a condescending manner as if I did not know how my own insurance works. She also said that my insurance notated that I had previously gotten periodontal cleaning done earlier this year and therefore not eligible for regular cleaning. I was shocked that she said this and I immediately called my previous dental office ( I moved from LA). When I called my previous dental office, they confirm that they only did a standard dental cleaning and not a periodontal cleaning and my insurance company also confirms that. I shared this information with Savannah and Dr. Smalls and they both refused to do a regular dental cleaning when I stated that I would much prefer to do the periodontal cleaning next year (since I would need to pay a deductible again) and utilize my regular cleaning since it's fully covered by insurance. Moving from LA - I am pretty accustomed to less than friendly service but the way that Savannah talked down to me as if I was an ignorant customer was not okay. Additionally, it seems like this place tries to upcharge you for everything. On the treatment cost, they wanted to bill me for a "mandatory" fluoride wash. In the previous office, I went to, fluoride was a recommendation but not mandatory. My advice, stay AWAY! If the billing person can't be upfront, honest and friendly then that's a huge problem. I'm glad I caught it now rather than after treatment and be left with an ugly bill. Side note: The entire office smells like cigarettes. Especially in the treatment room. I absolutely loved my visit with Enamel Dentistry (not something many people say about a dentist visit!). From the initial phone call to make an appointment, every staff member was great to work with. Scheduling was easy and they were always very proactive with communication. When I arrived I was promptly taken back and they talked me through every step of the visit. Prior to any services being done, a staff member came in to review my insurance and billing information and went over an itemized price list of everything I would be having done- not only at this appointment but at my second cleaning later this year. She was amazing! I wish I remembered her name, but it's been about a week now, however she was really helpful and also shared personal experience with a service I would be having done that put me at ease. During the visit they have tvs with Netflix to watch, and were very quick and efficient. The dentist and both dental hygienists I met were very kind and made me feel very comfortable. This was probably the best dentist experience I have had, and will continue to go to Enamel in the future! read more

Dentists have burned me previously, and for that reason, I have neglected my oral health. I've had a dentist say I had nine cavities, and then I received another opinion stating that I only had 1. I understand everyone is trying to make money, and if you have adequate insurance, people want to milk it, but this is also my health we are discussing. There is one thing pitching me braces/Invisalign because my insurance will cover most of the cost, but when you are making up how many cavities I have, I immediately lose trust. When I went into Enamel, I rolled my eyes. Beer on tap, wine, Hip Hop playing. The dentist is probably going to say I have 11 cavities! I guess I am a curmudgeon and probably only trust old dentists that have Kenny G playing in the background. Yes, that was my childhood dentist's. I was immediately greeted by Jodee, who was professional and put me at ease; she was upbeat but not fake. She seemed very confident, and I was sure that if I had any questions about my billing/ insurance, she would be able to speak to it pretty well, which she did. Let's cut to the chase. My X-Rays were, and they had some hi-tech technology that gave me a good indicator of my mouth's state. I have not had a cleaning in 5 years, which was obvious, but Dr. Gulati did not judge me but was more adamant about getting my oral health under control. He is very upbeat and positive and puts you at ease. Dr. Gulati is very knowledgeable and addressed any questions I had and explained what was going on in my mouth. I had two cavities, and he was able to show me and explain the reason behind getting a filling. He talks to you like an old friend, and what I enjoy is that he is concerned about the health of your mouth, but he also wants you to love your smile, so you can talk to him about what your "smile goals" are, and he can help create a roadmap to love your smile. I wish I would have known about Dr. Gulati years ago. I can promise you that my teeth would be in a lot better shape, and I would not have to spend so much money from years of being frightened to go to the dentist or feeling like I am getting ripped off. I highly recommend this practice, and I will have Dr. Gulati as my dentist for as long as I am in Austin. read more

I went here for the first time 6 months ago, and Dr. Patel was amazing! I was seen quickly, quick exam, everyone was so friendly - great experience! I was told to come back in 6 months for another cleaning (standard), so came back in a few days ago and was told I needed a special cleaning, full exam, so went ahead with it because what do I know? Needless to say, I left paying over $300 for something that should have been very standard. They did come in and discuss my insurance with me in the middle, but it had a bunch of other things they suggested along with it, so was very confusing. Also they added a fluoride treatment which I didn't ask for, and that was an extra charge. I will say everyone is very nice there. But, I was there for 2 hrs for what should have been a quick cleaning, and left in pain, late for work, and over $300 poorer. I do think they try to upsell here, and it's a shame. Honestly, I'm quite surprised there's only 9 reviews to date. I went in for a cleaning today and this has seriously been the best dental experience of my life. Everyone including the receptionist who greeted me was extremely attentive and kind. They were up front about costs before proceeding with anything which I really appreciated. I swear they've thought through everything. Getting X-rays has always a pain in the butt and uncomfortable but their machines made the whole process efficient and painless. Usual cleanings always involve having to hold your mouth open for a solid hour with a few breaks in between to spit and rinse. However, they had this contraption that held your mouth open for you. Beyond that, they were insanely accommodating when they found out I needed to get back to work. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

First time there today. I am a person who needs to see an overview of all costs prior to committing to any procedure, I need to plan out dates, times, financials, etc. for anything and they understood all of that. Very respectful, very communicative, very transparent and respected what I wished to view prior to committing to any procedure or advanced cleaning. The hygienists walked me through what they were looking at in order to create a treatment plan (the transparency) and they told me why they placed the treatment plan the way they did (the communication to help me understand) and when I declined treatment up front, they were very very respectful, did not try to push me into anything and gave me my space to look things over. They offered to purchase some items in house but also gave me the option to buy over counter at Walmart or heb! They also brought up techniques in front of me on google and helped guide me on what is best practice at home while I decide if I would like to proceed with my treatment plan or not. Very impressed to say the least! Made my next appointment so I can start the treatment plan that was created for me. Highly recommend and have already sent their site to my friends who just moved to town and is seeking a new dentist. I also really love the convenience around it too! read more

UPDATE: They take advantage of the patient and don't understand/follow insurance procedures. If you want to be billed months later for a simple filling this is the place for you. Read below if you want my full experience. My experience here has been interesting.. I am grateful the doctor did work on me and gave me a filling I needed but overall the experience was awkward and felt disingenuous. I visited this office twice. Both times there were moments I sat in the chair for 30 minutes waiting for someone to come by. One of those times the assistant left me after flossing half my teeth and not rinsing so I got to taste blood the whole time waiting for the other assistant to start flossing back up...? Why start if you can't finish? The same assistant laughed at me when I couldn't close my mouth all the way on the suction because I was numb, I don't get the humor of that? She also pre-numbed the wrong area of my mouth. I get that the work ya'll do is difficult but that's why you get a professional education. This makes me lose trust. I was charged for a suggested gingivitis cleaning which I agree I need. Only problem is I've had normal cleaning last longer than the uncomfortable 10 minutes of the procedure. I was also charged more for this more 'intense' cleaning. The TV option was a great distraction during the filling but I don't want the technician looking up at it and laughing while shes supposed to be focusing on my mouth. I should of just turned it off... After the cleaning I had to go out of my way to ask how I can have healthier gums. The assistant did then go into detail with things I could do and suggested products they sold there. Upon checking out I bought 2 mouthwashes only to learn they are charging 4x the price! I called and asked to be refunded since they were never open and they never got back to me. On the phone they suggested the don't buy bulk, like okay? And that's why their prices aren't lower but that simply not true as the mouthwash website states the prices. In my treatment plan I was suggested to get a laser cleaning which I guess is a new technology. I was heavily pushed to have this done. I get that it may help but for $200 extra why wouldn't a deep cleaning be preformed first or in addition to? Also, having lost trust I'd only want the doctor coming near me with lasers... In both of my visits Invisalign was probably mentioned to me 10 times. The first visits assistant spent 10 minutes with me explaining the whitening costs. Just awkward, get the front desk to do that. I was quoted a bill not implementing my anesthesia even though I pay a premium dental insurance that clearly states it is partially covered. Overall, I'm grateful for the doctor, that she was patient and professional. Everything else felt like the fast food of dental care. I wanted to like this place but the energy isn't right. read more
