Alice's is tucked in a small plaza and has a small town dinner charm. They have an lot of German Shepherd decorations, presumably an owner has one. They are cash only and have an incredibly loyal client base, many of which are local seniors. The food was very well priced. We got a meat lovers omelet, which had generous portions and tasty potatoes, and a combo with 2 eggs, sausage, and 2 pancakes, all decent but not exceptional. The server was friendly and efficient. There was lots of cross table chatter, which didn't give you a lot of provacy. Overall it was a pleasant experience but probably won't become our regular spot. read more

This is one of our go to places for breakfast on the weekends. Small, clean, fast service, and cash only. Staff is friendly. The food? You will not find a place that makes PERFECT eggs... like perfect! Oh you want over easy? Beautifully made perfectly white, the yolks is superb, no kidding. I'm telling you whoever the cook is in the back, I envision him going through 5 or 6 eggs for every order, until each time they are perfect. I still dont think you understand these eggs are like magazine quality.... they dont look real! Omelets? Same way, magazine quality. Big, loaded, hot. I'm a little sad to say that the omelets are so good, I havent had anything else, and we've been coming here for quite some time! The only thing I am not a fan of here is their bacon. Now that being said, HELLLOOO, my last name is Bacon so I think I know my bacon. The bacon here is very very thin. What else can I say, it was bacon, don't get me wrong, it tasted fine, but it was paper thin. I know that it's all about the dollar, I get it. You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant. Perhaps Arlo Guthrie exaggerated just a bit when he sang those lines but you can get a pretty good omelet here. Also pretty good pancakes, good sandwiches, good strong coffee and friendly service. Occasionally some unexpected weird stuff too. Alice's Restaurant is a small local place. Unpretentious, unassuming and very relaxed. All they do is serve good food at a good price. What a novel idea. Nothing exotic, you won't find any "specials" with foreign words in them. Nothing you have to google to find out what's in it. A simple but adequate menu and comfortable and clean atmosphere. Of course being a local joint you will also find some interesting local characters. The last time my wife and I went here with some friends, this elderly man we never saw before came over to our table and announced that it was his 95th birthday and that he deserved a kiss. Well, I don't care how the hell old he is, I wasn't about to kiss him but my wife, being the generous and kind soul that she is, gave him a little peck on the cheek. He was so happy that he sang her a little song and did a little dance. IMO best home fries around . Kathy & John are just great hard working people . I go there quite often & never disappointed . there have a lot of regulars . the only problem , no really but there don,t open until 8am and most of the time once the weather gets good that,s too late . the other issue for them is they sit back & even thro they have a sig out near the street , Its real easy to drive past . just remember when you see the fire station on WSR . its across the street .. read more

Rude waitress and terrible food. My Monte Cristo sandwich was not even edible. Not once did the hateful woman smile or speak a kind word.

Went in for the first time today with my Mom and sister. We didn't know we were supposed to have reservations but it was quiet around 11:15 AM so we were seated without difficulty. Everyone raved about the home fries and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crisp and delicious. The portions are bid and the prices are super reasonable. We are going to make this a breakfast ritual. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and cozy. Happy to have made this find and we will be going back again soon to try different items. read more

This place is a hidden gem! You won't regret trying them and most likely becoming a regular.

This is the kind of place that goes straight to my heart. It's local, unpretentious, amazingly inexpensive by California standards and the food is good. Brian and Cindy brought us here for brunch before we left for the Cape. There was plenty of room, maybe another couple or two eating and we sat in a four person booth that was roomy and comfortable for us. We were given menus and ordered drinks. Cindy had chocolate milk, Brian had coffee, I had tea and I think Alan just had water. Cindy ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon, almost exactly what I wanted except I wanted French toast and sausage. Kathy, who is the owner, gently pointed out that what I wanted was just below what Cindy ordered. Reading menus carefully has never been my strong suit. The French toast came w/ a choice of linguica or some other meat, but I was able to substitute sausage. Alan ordered a veggie omelet as a scramble and Brian ordered another veggie omelet, commenting that he was ordering the same thing as the previous day. My French toast was slightly custardy in the middle, just perfect. The sausage patties were perfectly seasoned and delicious and the eggs, which I had scrambled, were good. The prices were astonishing, as little as $2.15 for two eggs and toast. We mentioned to Kathy our surprise because we were from California and she commented that many of her patrons were elderly and on fixed incomes and she wanted them to be able to afford it. She observed that not taking credit cards helps keep her costs down. Alan asked if he could photograph a menus to show friends at home and she gave him a takeout menu. The food was good. The potatoes were delicious. The portions were good. My daughter cleaned her plate. The décor was out of 1988 and is in desperate need of updating but the restaurant is very clean. I love Alice's Restaurant , I go there for breakfast! The prices are incredible where can you get eggs,,toast,homefries and a tea or coffee for 8.58 for two. Kathy the owner and server always cheers you up and her husband who is the cook is just as pleasant. Very clean and comfortable. Everyone who goes there are so friendly and Kathy knows most by name, I highly recommend if you are near West Shore Rd in Warwick and are looking for a great meal without the large price ,and all the gliiter and glamour you have gone to the right place. read more

Yesterday I took my children to Alice's for breakfast. While my eggs and toast were fine, and my daughter enjoyed her pancake. My son ordered 2 belgian waffles with blueberry topping, they were disgusting! I tasted them to make sure he was not exagerating, and they were drier than the sahara! I tolf the waitress that he did not like then, she went into a fury. She said "we made 12 of those this morning and those are the last 2" (they start serving breakfast at 7:00 am, we were there at 11:30) So apparently they were at least 5 hours old and had been reheated! She went on to say she wasn't sure what was wrong with his tastebuds, and thet the waffles were "FINE". She never offered to take them off the check, or to serve him something else. She did offer a to go box.. ok as if they were not gross enough at the time they were served, you really think I am going to put them in a box and reheat them again? I would not serve them to the dogs! Needless to say I declined the to go box, and for $5.75 I will never go there again! I recently moved to the area, and could walk to this restaurant, but I will walk on by to one of the many other breakfast spots. read more
