Wow! First of all I expected more of a country vibe when my husband found this restaurant and I'm glad it wasn't! It was way better than anticipated and I was immediately impressed with the warm welcome and hospitality! The food, where do I begin?!?? My husband has been searching the local area for biscuits and gravy and we've been unsuccessful until today!!!!! He had amazing food and I had an amazing hot Samoa cookie drink! I'm not from the area, but honestly was taken back by the service. Nothing was "wrong" but I'm not used to New England style demeanor lol. I felt rushed and pressured to order quickly. They didn't have regular lattes, only spiked ones. Idk I'm not feeling alcohol at 10 in the morning. The breakfast burrito was ok, didn't wow me. The food and service is wonderful here! However if you go in on the weekend expect to wait and wait and wait. We went in on a Saturday for my mother in law's birthday and of course they were slammed. After we waited for our table they were able to take our order right away. However then we had to wait almost an hour for the food to come up. I totally understand they are busy, but that felt a little too excessive for breakfast, especially with an impatient six year old. I've been in during less busy times and the wait for food isn't quite so long. I like that they have a rotating group of iced and hot coffee flavors. I generally always get their more basic breakfast, but their eggs are cooked perfectly, bacon is crisp, and the homefries are well seasoned. read more

I was looking for a restaurant that served breakfast after my doctor's appointment in EG. Dante's came up on Yelp and it was highly rated. I had an egg sandwich with bacon and avocado on multigrain bread. It came with potatoes. Both the sandwich and homefried potatoes were good. The restaurant was very comfortable and eclectic. My server was excellent also. The only reason why I wouldn't go back would be because of the limited food items to choose from and the high prices. read more

We had to wait 30 minutes for a seat, but it was well worth it. The staff here are all super friendly and the breakfast burritos we ordered were delicious. They make their own hot sauce, which is a pineapple/habanero blend. We would have taken some with us, but it would not have traveled well in our suitcase. Heard this place was voted best breakfast in RI so I had to try-- felt pretty average to me! Took a while to get seated (just busy, not their fault per se) but also a while to be waited on. Seating was a bit cramped (as in right next to other people) and the pancakes I ordered were good but not great. I've dined with you before on. Sunday and have always understood that the wait can be longer because of the size of the restaurant, which has never been a problem for me. This time, however, the experience was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to reach out. We waited about 33 minutes for a table, which I expected and accepted. Once seated, it was another 10 minutes before we were greeted or offered menus and coffee. I specifically asked about ordering a fried green tomato BLT, since I've been told on a past visit that the kitchen couldn't accommodate it during busier times. The server kindly checked, and the kitchen agreed to make it. That part was fine, though it did take another 20 minutes before our food arrived. The real issue occurred after we finished eating. While we were still enjoying our coffee, the waitress dropped off our bill, and shortly after, the bartender came over to tell us we had to leave because a party of eight was coming in. At that point, I had just received the bill and we were not lingering unnecessarily. The interaction felt abrupt, inhospitable, and frankly disrespectful. No other tables around us were being asked to leave. From the time I put my name in until the time we walked out, the visit lasted one hour and 33 minutes--33 of those minutes just waiting for a table. For a $70 breakfast , I would not expect to be rushed out before finishing my coffee. Unfortunately, this experience left such a poor impression that I don't see myself returning to Dante's. I wanted you to know directly how this came across, as I've enjoyed dining here before and was disappointed by the way we were treated. read more

Amazing breakfast. Nice selection of food and spiked coffees. The service was friendly, but very slow. We waited for an hour (originally told 30min) but it was a beautiful day so we sat outside and enjoyed the sun. They came out to check on us and did let us order drinks. Once we sat down and ordered we noticed the delay is in the food coming from the kitchen but let me say it was worth the wait. The food was all delicious. From the flapjacks to the amazing pulled pork with eggs. So yummy! Their homemade bbq sauce for the pulled pork was delicious. Then also have nice options for those who do not eat meat. Let me begin by saying that the food is great here. Dante's Kitchen is a wonderful southern themed restaurant. I came alone and so sat at the bar, and I found myself next to a large, bearded blowhard who simply couldn't shut up. He loudly regaled the bar staff and everyone within hearing range (roughly 800 yards) about his taste in movies. Hint: fantasy movies and The Marvel Universe- good; Martin Scorsese's The Departed-bad. He was relentless. Wearing a FINTECH t-shirt and scruffy half beard, he was impossible to ignore. I went to Dante's this morning with a few friends. We waited about a half hour for a table which I expected since I've been here before. Once seated we waited a while for coffee and to give our order. We also waited quite a long time for our food. Once we finished and received the bill we paid and were finishing our coffee. We were barely seated there an hour before we were told we had to leave because there was a large party that needed the table. The guy who told us was not apologetic at all. His delivery was unprofessional. Considering how slow this place runs and the time we waited for a table and service it's unacceptable not to be able to finish the coffee we paid for. I don't think it's unreasonable to sit for an hour to have breakfast without being asked to leave. read more

We went for a quick brunch on a Wednesday we both had off. We walked in and immediately were seated so that was nice ! We I got a pina colada mimosa which was the right choice. Delish! For food we got pulled pork hash dish which came with biscuits , two poached eggs and pulled pork hash. Portions were big so I got dinner out of it too! They brought out a home made jam to go with it as well. Delish ! The eggs I should have guessed came with a bbq sauce over the top which was a bit weird for me BUT I should have expected that with a pulled pork dish .. I would have preferred a hollindaise but the dish was good. Fiancé got biscuits and gravy with fried chicken on top. It was good- again good portions. Chicken was a bit dry for my taste but he didn't complain. Tables were a bit too close together. I listened to the other tables conversations easily. Dante's Kitchen is a hidden gem in East Greenwich. This small brunch spot is tucked away on the Main Street. I wish they were open past 2:30pm! On the weekend, there can be rush and sometimes it's hard to get a table. It's always worth the wait. Overall, the restaurant is very small but with charm! They have plenty of sit down tables and a decent size bar. On every visit, I have to get the Nitro Cocktails. They use local Nitro Bar coffee and they are seriously some of the best coffee cocktails around. I always get the Banana Fosters Cocktail. Sweat, but not too sweet. They even have one with whiskey! Each week they have specials that are crazy good. Their special french toasts are always one to get! My absolute favorite dish to get is the Hot Pastrami Benedict. English muffin is crispy and loaded with flavorful pastrami. I am always excited to get it! This is a must visit for brunch! read more

Got the inferno Bloody Mary but then was told they did not have any shrimp left and they doubled up on bacon instead.. just to see the table next to us ordered shrimp grits. They are applying a 10 % mark up. We ordered our food and waited and waited .. at the hour and fifteen minute mark we had just about waited as long as we could and asked for the check and forget about the food. As we got the bill, our food came out . We thought about packing it up but then realized the waitress put our order in wrong. We paid for our drinks and left. I've been here multiple times and only get one dish -the pastrami Benny. It's excellent! The housemade hot sauce they give you is very nice too. I get an email today about great mac n cheese in my area. Not being a huge fan of mac n cheese, I felt compelled to give a shout to Dante's Kitchen. This is my daughters go to place for brunch. A few weeks back I went to visit my daughter and her fiancée. Where does she take us? Hmm Dante's. They make a mac n cheese with pulled pork, not in it but as a side. Got to say they make a good combo! The mac n cheese is not ....definitely not your standard Kraft or Annies....oh no no no! Many world better. The place is a quaint small establishment very welcoming. You would think it would be loud because it is so small but nope. Very easy to have a conversation. Now to get to the service...in my best Mr. Burns from the Simpsons....Excellent! They are very attentive. Never had to look for anyone Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service. Excellent probably the best breakfast I've had since my visit this time to Rhode Island. Also the cocktails are yummy the bloody Mary's are excellent. Lots of good cocktails on the menu including Kahlúa mudslide. I didn't go for the home fries because I've eaten so much since I've been here however they look like probably the best home fries I would've had. The crew is very friendly very clean kitchen excellent large restroom amenities. All in all one of my favorite breakfast places in Rhode Island area read more

Laura and I stopped by Dante's for brunch yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience. We did not make reservations but were seated immediately at the bar. The place probably has 10-12 tables and about 8 stools at the bar. It was pretty full but seemed to be running very efficiently. The service was excellent from the very friendly gentleman greeting us upon arrival. We both ordered the Hot Pastrami Benedict and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were served on an English muffin with copious amount of pastrami and perfectly cooked eggs with tasty home fries. We both said we'd order this fish again. This downtown spot serves breakfast all day with a southern flair and delicious spiked coffees! We had the Girl Scout Cookie spiked iced coffee and spiked root beer float. Both were amazing and so different for every other cocktail menu we've seen before. For food we ordered the breakfast quesadilla, Dante's famous Mac and cheese, and pulled pork Benedict. Dante's Kitchen is a must! The space is small but worth the wait. We put our names down for a table, walked down the Main Street and waited about 20 minutes. Nice staff and service; however, food was just like a typical diner. There was a short 20min wait on a Sunday morning to get seated. The omelette had lots of toppings inside, but a very thin layer of actual egg. The home fries were good and crispy. The side of flap jacks were probably the best (although not much flavor). I never leave reviews, but I felt, to me, this one was necessary. We went to breakfast this morning to celebrate a friend's birthday, there were three of us, and we arrived at 9:25. We were told that there was a little bit of a wait so we put our name in and we sat outside. After approximately a half an hour we went inside to see how much longer it was going to be and we were told that they were setting a table up for us. We went inside shortly after 10, sat and waited another 10 minutes or so before we were acknowledged. A friend of mine asked for the fried tomato BLT and she was told no she couldn't have it because it was only on the lunch menu, we asked if they could check with the kitchen, she huffed and went to the kitchen to ask, came back and told us that they did say that they would prepare it. We thanked her and explained it was our friend's birthday and expressed our appreciation. We waited approximately another 20 minutes before our food came out, we then had breakfast, and received our check at 11:12. We paid the bill, and as we were finishing our coffee, the gentleman with the beard came over to us, put his two hands on the table and said, "we have a party of eight waiting and we need this table so you are going to have to leave". I looked at the time and it was 11:18. We were all shocked that we had just waited almost an hour to be seated and receive our food, paid $70 for breakfast and almost were demanded to leave because they were waiting for a table. I went up to the gentleman on our way out and explained that we only had our check for six minutes before he had asked us to leave. I was so taken back by his approach that we all said we would never go back. He could've asked nicely or given us a few minutes to at least finish our coffee. My nieces brought me here for my birthday breakfast. One of them had brought me pre-Covid and I very impressed. This is a small,cozy ,homey establishment that has a friendly,efficient staff. Apparently, I loved the shrimp and grits and Bloody Mary the last time, so I ordered it again.And it was perfect again. The shrimp were actually a good size(almost prawns?)and the gravy was thick enough( like I was after eating this)and super flavorful. When the dish was brought to the table,I swore I'd bring home half, as the serving was plentiful. But somehow I had a memory lapse because by time I was two thirds in, it was a wrap.Then, the Bloody Mary met all the daily requirements for vegetables, olives,celery,the tomato juice and a slice of bacon making it actually a full meal, in and of itself. The menu does have some fantastic options, like pulled pork hash, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and sausage gravy - plus more typical fare. Our waitress recommended the chicken and waffles. I tried it and was disappointed by its blandness. My husband had the biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of pork belly and eggs. He liked his breakfast. Would we say that this was the best breakfast we've ever had? Absolutely not. When we got the bill, we saw that we were surcharged 10% For increased food prices. I think that is something that should've been clipped to the menu so that customers would not be surprised when they got the bill. Our breakfast total without tip came to $51. Great breakfast! I can't wait to go back to try more of their items. Typically, my family and I will stick to breakfast places in Pawtucket and providence but we've been to mostly all and decided to explore--I'm glad we did. First, this place is located on a cute strip and I can imagine it must be fun to come here in the summer and walk around before or after eating. I didn't have trouble finding street parking. They do have a lot across the street but it's not free (although I'm not sure if the ticket is validated if you buy breakfast). The staff is super friendly and attentive despite how busy it was; shout out to Ciara and Tito. The atmosphere is great, the inside is clean and modern, with a bar in the corner, and a good amount of tables. The food was spectacular! I ordered the chicken and waffles but my family ordered the two eggs combo. My brother had grits, pulled pork, and Texas toast. My mom had bacon, home fries, and wheat toast. My brother and I had agreed to share our plates and I was afraid his choices were going to be bad. I was expecting soggy pull pork with big chunks of fat and watery grits. Let me tell you...I was wrong and I'm glad he chose these. The pulled pork is great. It's fried after so you don't have any sogginess. Also, the grits are firm and "creamy" (I'm not sure if this is the right word, maybe "buttery") and overall good. The bacon was nice and crispy and they give a generous amount. The chicken and waffles were good! The chicken was crispy and well seasoned. It was white meat chicken breast so I didn't have to worry about bones. The waffles were light and fluffy and that's saying a lot since I'm not a waffle person. The syrup was a bourbon syrup and you can definitely taste it. Good place for brunch in RI. Came here late afternoon around 2pm on a Sunday. Everything on their menu appeared amazing. They have a great selection of Southern food. Got the shrimp and grits along with biscuits and gravy with extra fried chicken. The shrimp and grits could've used some more flavor and the biscuits were pretty good. The chicken itself was alright, somewhat dry and nothing exceptional about it. Overall good experience. Service was somewhat slow, took over an hour. I popped into this restaurant for a quick brunch before work and was pleasantly surprised by the food and top tier service from Roberto. I travel for work, so often times you do not know what to expect when trying a new restaurant other than reviews that you read. The food was good. I had the beignets and also a pastrami sandwich. I loved to an area without them so I always get one when it is in the menu. I didn't realize that they were voted best breakfast so next time when I am back I will definitely try more of their Louisiana influenced menu items. This spot is very small inside so they have a few tables outside for dinning. None of the tables are 6ft apart they may not even be 1ft apart, which is fine if your comfortable with that. The waitress there unsure of her name but she has brown hair, brown eyes & gauges ear piercing she is extremely rude and unprofessional. My whole experience there was ruined due to having a bad waitress, everything seemed to be problematic for this individual and all of her responses were so snarky. Breakfast Togo is always a bit risky but we knew on a holiday weekend it would be busy and we wanted to try something new. We usually play it safe with what we order when trying something for the first time but I decided to get the hot pastrami Benedict because it sounded so unique and was a top seller. My husband got a build your own omelette (he played it safe) and we also got a side of the pork belly. Let me tell you, we were seriously impressed and my husband was regretting not ordering something less safe lol. I can't imagine how good the food is fresh out of the kitchen if it traveled this well. The pastrami and pork belly were great quality meats and the flavors came together so well on the Benedict. I'll be dreaming about this Benedict until next time. The staff were super nice and welcoming when I came in to pick up. Not sure if who I spoke to was the manager but he told me I'd be back and he was not wrong. He also threw in their homemade hot sauce which had really good flavor and a nice kick to it. Always loved this place for the food. I ordered the chicken and waffles for the first time expecting it to have maple syrup come with it. This syrup tastes like straight bourbon. A hint of bourbon would be OK, but this was crazy. I told my server and he had the owner come over and she explained that it does state bourbon syrup on the menu and she has to charge me for it and will not make me something instead.
