Great breakfast, but boy, you're not in Kansas anymore. Came here for the breakfast sandwich food fights event, and holy moly, it had three different types of meats! Even the potatoes they asked if we wanted to add cheese and bacon to it. I was dead. Iced coffee was so lovely. I went to the bathroom and holy cow is it tiny. The people was super friendly. I went in there on the new breakfast sandwich, passport, and they were very accepting. They explained their menu and they also had a special running yesterday. I unfortunately don't remember the name of the sandwich. But it was excellent. It contains ham, bacon and sausage as well as egg and cheese on a grilled bagel. I love my bread to be grilled over being toasted. I am definitely gonna be bringing my family back here to eat is only like five minutes from their house around the corner. I can't wait to come again. And try something else just as wonderful. They also have special coffees and stuff for the month and they serve at least two flavored copies every single day for those coffee lovers who like something different. Well the time of day that I went it was around like 1030. I believe it was quiet, which was good. It was only about a half a dozen customers in the restaurant, but everyone had very large portions on their plate. I like the parts that it was overly crowded or the fact that it was Loud. The Sunnyside didn't disappoint. My first time there so I had no expectations at all. It's a little dated inside and could use a remodel in my opinion - or at least a fresh coat of paint and some freshening up. Our server was attentive but could have been a little quicker based on the crowd size there. I ordered the denver omelet which is actually a western but they call it a denver. The food was made and brought to the table promptly. The home fries could have been browned more and made more crispy but everyplace does it a bit differently. All said and done the service was good, the food was tasty, and the coffee was hot. If it didn't need a makeover on the inside I would have given it 5 stars.... The food is plentiful and delicious. Cute restaurant. My only issue is the staff begins to mop the floors and refill condiments before the 2 pm closing time. This has happened to me at my last 2 visits. The floor was wet when we needed the restroom before heading home. If you're looking for a small diner with decent breakfast food, this place is pretty good! My French toast sandwich was decent, although I did wish I got an omelette instead when my parents got theirs! The omelettes are pretty large, and definitely would be my choice if I come back again. My mom pointed out that her toast was very over buttered, but that's standard for most diners that I've been to, and is more of a nitpick than a complaint. Sunnyside Restaurant has ample parking, spacious seating inside, and a huge menu selection of both breakfast and lunch options at very affordable prices. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. our order came out in record speed and the meal portions were perfect. Oh and they had awesome wall decor and a cool paper towel machine in the bathroom which reminded me of early 1990s. If you like Twin Peaks then you'd probably dig this place. Older building, well-established mom n pop style breakfast joint that feels welcoming and homey. No frills, and easy on the wallet. The place is clean and there is plenty of parking. Quick turn over; never experienced too long a wait. Most often there is no wait around 11a. The only thing here that I have a problem with is how small the bathroom is. Lol. Okay so let me just say, the service here is AMAZING! My 1 star review is about the food. Ordered takeout from here, my boyfriend brings it home, I open the box to see a black curly hair sitting right on top of my home fries. How it went undetected while being packed up is beyond me. I'm someone who SKEEVES hair so much that this is something that will make me never go back to a restaurant. So I didn't touch my food, threw the entire thing away. My sister also got food, much to my surprise a hair in her dish as well. Small breakfast spot located on a busy road 117 in Warwick. It wasn't very busy but they took our information, had plenty of sanitizer readily available and tables were spaced apart. Nothing reusable was on the tables and everything provided to us was one time use. The servers were great and they had some specials but I opted for the Hash Benedict which was a great choice. Hash was crispy, potatoes were crispy and eggs were well poached. The Hollandaise was a little clumpy but I had asked for it on the side anyway so not sure if it just got that way. I placed a big take out order on a busy weekend over the phone. The woman was very nice and patient, but half the orders were messed up (not that serious). The prices were reasonable ($3.89 for a bacon egg & cheese with home fries on a "torpedo" roll). I didn't order a torpedo roll, I'd never even heard of it until I went to pick up my order. Not a big deal, just wanted a regular roll. Anyway, on the topic of prices, two of my friends ordered the exact same thing, and one was charged $3.89 and one was charge $6. Still reasonable, I just don't know what the right price should've been. This is your typical hometown diner. A great place to stop by if you want to see where the locals eat! We came by for breakfast one morning and were so impressed with the giant omelets! My husband ordered the choice, and our friends ordered the 4*2 and the Deluxe. They all ordered hot coffee and I ordered a coffee milk. Our bill in total for 4 people was $40. Great deal! You could tell that was unusual for the restaurant, because people came in droves at 12:01pm, only to be turned away. The place was PACKED, and that can only mean they are reliable. I'll start off with the one con: we were seated by the door, so cold air flooded our table whenever the door was opened. And the door didn't easily close by itself; people would walk in, and the door wouldn't close behind them, so it is in anyone's best interest to pull the door with them. Beyond that, the experience is great. Quick service, and inexpensive food. I ordered a Biscuits and Gravy that was less than $7, and came with three biscuits, a rich sausage gravy, and crispy home fries. Add a little black pepper, and it's a delicious dish that is incredibly filling. My partner ordered pancakes, which were pleasantly fluffy and full of flavor. I ordered the Benedict in bed which is eggs Benedict with shaved ham on top of French toast and it was unbelievable. What beat that was my choice of home-fries, where I upgraded to add the bacon and cheese. Even without those added ingredients, i feel like the home fries are those 'so good you don't need ketchup' kind. The food was so good, the restaurant was cute and super clean and the staff was enjoyable. The menu items ranged from simple to decadent breakfasts (I cannot wait to try the Reeses peanut butter pancakes) to Burgers and fries... and everything in between. They introduced us to the East Coast version of coffee milk, which was a treat - and, very different from the South Louisana version, and spent a lot of time talking about the area and giving us tips on places to check out since we are new to the area.
