We love coming here. Even on busy days, the staff provides excellent, professional service. The restaurant is large, and I personally like the bustle here. I have tried many dishes here, and they are all excellent. I gravitate to the Sinaloa Ceviche which is in the Peruvian style. My wife like all their tacos. Now, their Margaritas are great, both frozen and on the rocks! They have the right amount of punch. They just make you happy. Their prices are fair. You can always find parking too. This place is beautiful and staff was so welcoming. I enjoyed my carne asada, rice and beans. I'm so picky when it comes to my sides and I was impressed that the rice is similar to the way I make it. The charro beans were delicious. My friend had a frozen margarita and it was amazing. If I wasn't driving I would've ordered one. I will say they only have 2 stalls in the women's restroom so there was a wait so be prepared for that but other than that I will definitely need to come back for the margarita lol read more

What an amazing place. The staff was fantastic and very helpful with our questions. Had the cucumber marg! You know it is good when 2 other people also order the drink when they tasted yours ;). Steak fajitas were amazing, love the green salsa's. Nice kick. Also can't beat an ice cream machine for self serve cones! We've been going to Alicia's for years and it's one of our favorite neighborhood favorites! I recently brought a group of my friends some out of town and they absolutely love the food and the drinks! Not really sure what happened here, but they completely changed their caldo de pollo and not for the better. It used to be my go-to and reliable. I recently ordered from DoorDash and noticed I was asked about broccoli and spinach as a choice. I thought clearly this had to be a mistake. Nope. It arrived with spinach and broccoli and cubed pieces of grilled chicken. Never in my life have I ever received anything like this. Unfortunately, their caldo was the best around and the reason for us ordering from them every time so we will no longer be frequenting the restaurant. Rude service, and I believe a bit discriminatory. Having so many tables inside the restaurant, they gave us a table in this patio where it was hot. First time at this location, it was considerably busy but the service stayed consistent! The street tacos were yummy, however I must say I was caught off guard by the sauce in the middle. That thing was SPICY, but the tacos paired perfectly with some queso instead. I'm usually not a fan of chicken fajitas but these were seasoned well and tender too! The beef was definitely my favorite tho, plus the avocado it hit the spot. My mom ordered the citrus salad, she seemed very satisfied. I had a bite and everything worked well together! Let me preface this review with the fact that we have been loyal diners since Day 1 of this restaurant. My family knows the owner and he knows us. This review is about our experiences with the To Go, but I'm sure that the review on the food will be similar even if we had eaten there. We always order the beef fajitas for two with extra tortillas. THE FOOD - BEEF FAJITAS FOR TWO - TORTILLAS: 0/10 I would not recommend eating these tortillas to even my worst enemy. If you like stale, small, and having an after taste in your tortillas, then be my guest. *Note: The handmade tortillas USED TO be what made Alicia's our top standard for Tex-Mex. Even when my sister and I were in high school, we would get excited and have our mouths drool a bit at the thought of the warm, homemade, soft tortilla dough for dinner whenever we heard that we were getting Alicia's. The warm and homemade tortillas combined with the salty beef USED TO BE the chef's kiss for us. Now, it's a dash of INSTANT REGRET after first bite. - BEEF: 8/10 The beef still tasted as salty and delicious as ever... but the amount decreased. The portion size used to be meant for adults... but now I guess the "for 2" must mean for children in portion size? How disappointing. - CHIPS: 1/10 Have you ever opened a bag of chips and then realized that 80% of the bag is just air? Yeah, well, expect mostly air and a decreased amount of chips at this Alicia's Cypress location. I only rated 1 star because at least they give some chips. Still very disappointing. Overall, the quality of the food decreased while inflation of food ingredients increased. The overall price also increased due to inflation. I'm sad to admit this, but Alicia's is no longer our "gold standard" like it used to be. Whenever someone mentions ordering from this restaurant, there is no longer an excitement felt but more of an... "Is that the only option?? Maybe we should get something else" discussion. My family and I are very disappointed with this Alicia's Cypress. Now, we are on the search for the taste of homemade tortillas and the meaty beef deliciousness at other Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I love Alicia's and our favorite server Javier! We always make it a point to bring out of town guests here to experience the great fajitas and margaritas! I do wish they would bring back their original green sauce because it was hands down the best this side of 290! Came here for lunch because the crowd was lite, but we have passed by this place because it was packed. But our experience was not great. I had the nachos being a true nacho junkie. Sadly they don't do good nachos. Typical soggy chips that just make a plate of sadness. They did let my girlfriend order a kids meal which was nice but it didn't impress her either. Alicia's use to be fantastic. Unfortunately, the staff plays around, talks too much especially in the kitchen which can be heard loud and clear in the to-go section. Hence, it takes unacceptably long to get a to-go order. I do Not like people talking over my food; it's unprofessional. The cocktails/drinks are consistently off-putting due to revolving bartenders maybe. My Paloma tasted like dirt water. That was kinda my last straw. I use to go there to enjoy a drink but it just isn't worth it anymore. Some positives: Alicia's has a quality menu. Parking is decent. I know some people say this place sucks and what not, but this place is better then other Tex Mex Restuarant's that's in Cypress. My mother is a picky eater and she doesn't like all Mexican restaurants. She actually approved of this one, which is a win! Here's my honest thoughts: 1. The food that i have tried has always been good and tasty . The amount of food you get is nice for the price. If you order to go you still get the same amount of food. I know with other restaurants you get less when you order to go. 2. My only concern is the staff. Before covid the staff was very welcoming and attentive. When i went today to go get my to go order.... I had to wait a bit for someone to help me and noticed that i was there. I would recommend and I always keep comings back here. Their fajitas are really good. I'm so picky about fajitas. Most of the time, I find places that have just blah fajitas - boring and nothing worth coming back for. But Alicia's gets that perfect crust on the meat and it's tender and flavorful. Good quality selection of food and friendly staff. They seem like a family there. read more

If your into bland Mexican food then this is your place. My tacos were less than a half inch thick and broke as I picked them up, the taco meat was flavorless a disaster. My enchilada was bland and loosely rolled, I wore half of every bite. The beans and rice were ok, bland as everything else. We had a fabulous dinner here Friday night. Fajitas, steak , shrimp, kids burger , soup, guacamole and several hot sauces. Service was incredible, every meal was delicious with ample portions. The wait staff continually filled are glasses , kept us in chips and salsa plus asked several times if everything was ok? The kids loved the free ice cream . They had a 35 minute wait but it was well worth it. I can't say enough good about our experience! Not sure how someone could leave a bad review. Walked in and was noticed immediately it was very cheerful a warming environment on the inside. The server saw us and he came out to take our drink order. They brought our chips out very fast they were fresh out of the fryer very warm and delicious. And the salsa was on point. The manager kept on walking around making sure everything was okay. The fajita was very good! When we asked if they could turn the air off they du which I appreciated. We got our free ice cream and it was very yummy ice cream. Called earlier today said they would be taking to go orders over the phone and online but Closing at 8:30pm. I started calling at 5:00pm after 22 phone calls (that hangs up on you after it rings 10 times) we just drove there. There was 14 people in the to go area. 7 people who have ordered and paid; 7 who ordered online or on the phone and were waiting to pay. A lady told me she had been waiting for 25 minutes just to pay, and the man in front of her 45 minutes to pay for his online order. There was no one there to even take these people money. The lady also told me they muted their phone. So no wonder no one would answer my calls. We did not wait in this mess. I'm sure there was a lot of upset people in those lines. Food for thought...(pun intended) If you know you are going to be that busy plan ahead with extra staff, have a cut off time to stop taking orders and post it on your website and on Yelp. read more
