Well, don't let the shops appearance influence your decision on picking up some treats from Alidas. We got the biscoff croissant and dubai chocolate. Both items are PHENOMENAL. I'm disappointed I wasn't aware this place even existed for the past few years I've been here! The dubai was a must try after seeing it so much on my fyp but the star was that croissant! Was so good. I got a few of their croissants and they were genuinely some of the best I've ever had. Very crispy on the outside and perfectly golden. Inside was super soft and buttery. Service was quick and easy and overall just a nice bakery to grab some stuff to start off the morning. read more

When you walk into the store right when they open up, like we did, the whole area is cool and smells like freshly baked bread. For those from Middle Eastern countries, it certainly reminds of the street bread that's at home; heavenly. We ordered their viral Pistachio and Biscoff flavored croissants, and let me tell you they were delicious! Filling was light but truly flavorful, without feeling chemical. Only comment on the croissants would be that the dough tasted a bit yeasty, otherwise it was superb. Service was fast, with them automatically skipping the tip screen (so make sure to have cash handy!). Alida's Bakery is one in a million. Hardly anywhere in the greater Seattle area makes lahmajun/lamacun/lahembajeen as good. They are huge! Made with a thin and crispy-edged dough and covered in a beautifully spiced beef mixture. We drive up to Everett just for these beauties! They also have other flatbreads and all kinds of tasty Kurdish cookies and desserts (that will also be familiar to Arabs), but they are perhaps best known for their fluffy, freshly baked bread. You can find their bread in a few shops around the area, such as Byblos market, but I believe you have to go to their bakery to get the flatbreads. The bakery itself is takeout only, and the service is friendly, professional, and efficient. I would say not to miss it if you're in the area, but I think it's worth the drive even if you're not! read more

I had been wanting to try this bakery for so long. I finally got to stop in and what a delightful experience. I wanted to get some of the manakish (a flatbread with toppings) to take home for lunch with the hubby. I told them I had been wanting to come in for a long time and I was excited to finally try the manakish. They were only $3-8 each - depending on the topping. So I presumed at that price they would be quite small. So I ordered one with pepperoni and cheese, tomato, zatar, and jalapeno and cheese. I was told they make them to order. So I waited about 5 minutes. When the gentleman came out he actually made me one of EVERY flavor. And they are bigger that I thought they would be. So he also gave me beef and a cheese - on the house. And then he gave me a free bag of pita! He wanted me to try them all. Now that is a wonderful way to treat a new customer. Needless to say - we had leftovers. My favorites - pepperoni and cheese, beef, tomato. Hubby's favorite - jalapeno and cheese. I froze the pita bread to enjoy another time. We went into Alida's bakery Saturday. I'm in a powered wheelchair and the parking and entrance were easy to navigate. It was our first time there and we were immediately met with smiles and welcome in from the two men working the counter. I had read the article in Live in Everett and wanted to try the pistachio croissant. There were so many treats to try. The baklava is absolutely divine, not overly syrupy. The croissant was buttery and flaky and the pistachio filling was not overly sweet with a creamy almost flavored whipped cream flavor. The REAL star was the pita's!! Its been nearly impossible to find a good pita. The one's they sell in the commercial grocery store are thin like cardboard and tear easily. Alidas are soft pliable and hold up perfectly. I made chicken salad and it was sooo good. We had the pleasure of meeting Nich the owner before we left, he was so genuine and kind. I can't recommend this place enough. The bakery is tucked away in a strip mall and pretty industrial feeling inside. It isn't a stop and stay place, but meant to be taken away. We got almond baklava, large naan bread, and Dubai chocolates. Everything was so delicious. I would highly recommend all of those items. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other items. It does seem that they sell out so probably best to go early for the best selection. read more

Alida's Bakery is located in a popular strip mall which I frequent to visit other businesses while in Everett. It had caught my attention earlier, but had stopped by on Wednesdays or Thursdays when the bakery is closed. After placing a takeout order at an adjacent spot, I lucked out and Alida's Bakery was open (1/14/22). I was excited to finally check it out after it had been recently featured in The Seattle Times and KING5 Evening. It is located at a non-descript corner of the strip mall, but clearly those in the know are here and I joined the line. There's plentiful fresh pita and flatbread on the metro shelf to the right. I overheard from the front counter being told to another customer that these are freshly baked, no preservatives, and freezes well - definitely notable pro tip! I was anticipating getting to the front counter and to see what what featured in the pastry cases. I was so giddy that I even forgot to snap a photo of the menu board. I wished that the items had signage, but thankfully the folks behind the counter were willing to field inquiries and had their system down pat to ring up and bag purchases. I hate being that person who holds up the line not knowing quite what to purchase with my first time visit. No worries there as my queries were answered with such enthusiasm and welcoming smiles. I ended up just getting three items: *Happy Honey Baklava box with four pieces each of pistachio walnut and cashew caramel baklava ($12) *two pieces of Za'atar pita, Mana'quish ($2 each) *a half pound bag of Klecha ($7) There is also something to be said visiting a spot without any preconceived notions. All I knew is that it was a bakery I had never visited and had some recent media exposure. Because once I got home and started sampling the goods, I was absolutely blown away. My Yelp tag line mentions in search of dazzling flavors and does Alida's Bakery deliver. I was also concurrently receiving DMs from another Yelper currently in Paris and the flavors were so amazing that I had to simply just focus on the moment. I actually DMed back that if I suddenly die, eating these bites made my life complete. Might as well cue the aria. Even my college age son agreed wholeheartedly when he ate the same items later in the day. I thought my favorite baklava was at a frequented North Seattle cafe. Have to say this baklava box with two flavors is tops hands down. Nice and crisp and not cloyingly sweet. Perfect flavor and texture. It got all gobbled up the same day! The Za'atar pita was so fresh, fragrant, and delicious! Za'atar is a spice mix that can be a variant of the following: oregano, majoram, thyme, cumin, coriander, sesame seeds, salt, and sumac. I wonder what the signature mix Alida's Bakery uses, all I know is that it an amazing combo of tangy, herbal, nutty, and toasty. Delicious solo, but I can see this an accompaniment to grilled meats. The Klecha was also terrific purchase - delicious date nut and cardamon pastry bites. Perfect sized amount for gift giving or to bring to a gathering. All I needed was some strong coffee or fragrant tea. I definitely exercised restraint not wanting one of each item upon my first visit. Based on their website, they also have their products at other indie shops. I'll have to recommend my nearby Mediterranean shop in Shoreline to be one of their destinations too. But there is an advantage to shop directly onsite for supreme freshness. I definitely will have to return and start exploring the pastry case - there are so many cakes, puddings, other flavored breads, and items in containers to check out. The website is also worth exploring, I enjoyed reading about what brought the bakeshop into existence. I encourage others to check it out, it evokes family warmth, the desire to share their Iraqi Kurdistan heritage, and true local, indie spirit. Major Yelp Elite seal of approval! My mom told me about this bakery because she picks up pita bread from here. When I went to get some pita, it was super fresh and warm! You can taste the freshness and very tasty. I'd heard a lot about Alida's Bakery and staying pretty close to the area, I just had to visit this asap! It's the smell of freshly baked bread that wafts through that sets the tone for me. We got there at almost closing time, but I saw that they were still baking, which was truly a good feeling! I mainly wanted to try their Baklava, Coconut Honey cake and buy a loaf of naan/pita. But I ended getting Manakish and Kunefe as well. The baklava wasn't like anything I've had before. It was so crispy and fresh and stuffed to the brim. Heaven! It was my first time trying Kunefe, made with cheese and vermicelli crisp tops. It was really interesting. The Manakish is usually available in different flavors. They had jalapeno, tomato, zatar available. I got the zatar. The pita was extremely soft and tender. However it was a wee bit too much seasoning for my liking. I will definitely go back for the best baklava ever and the honey coconut cake of course!! read more

Haven't even been here but had their honey baklava and it was delicious! The best we've ever had and guess what we had it 3 days after it was bought AND after it traveled from Washington state to California! Yes all the way to California! I had good baklava at Pike's place when I was there a year ago so when my niece who lives in Washington asked what I would like for her to send me back to CA I asked for baklava. She told me she had found a new place for Baklava that would blow me away cause it was so delicious. Alida's in Everett! So when my sister visited earlier this year she brought me some back to CA. And it's beyond delicious! Smooth, nutty, crispy, mouth watering I can taste it now! I can only imagine how much better it's fresh but trust me even 3 days later it was so delicious. It turns out, that was a fact. I got so many compliments; everyone thought it was homemade. By far the best I've had and I'm not a huge baklava fan.
