It is so exciting to have new halal food spots in the neighborhood and Alien turkish Doner is one of the newest options. The food tasted great but the portion size is pretty small for the price in my opinion which is the only reason I am not giving 5 star rating. I also liked the running self serve cold ayran dispenser they have. The staff is friendly and the location is quiet with plenty of parking always available in this shopping center.

We've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while, and we were pleasantly surprised on how the meat was perfectly moist and deliciously seasoned. Today I re-learned that, "döner kebab" is a Turkish dish with meat cooked vertically on a fire rotisserie, and then meat shavings are sliced off as it cooks. I also re- learned that it's delicious! Also would like to note, there is a really friendly restaurant staff. Additionally, the customers were all very nice. It's really nice having conversations, with other patrons about the deliciousness of the food. Furthermore, The place is very clean, & very cozy, just a great place to go in for Doner. I'm wondering why it's called "Alien" Doner. I'm assuming because - the taste is so good, it's like being from another world ?

Ah Döner... hard to find in America yet this spot appears in Garden Grove on the side of the road, once every weeknight. Ambiance is casual and street-y. Parking is rough but the wait is worth it! Sauces complement the savory and succulent Döner and this is a nice little gem nestled in Central Orange County! Staff is friendly and attentive, and ensure to get into line to promptly submit your order!

If you are craving actual, authentic Turkish yaprak döner, leaflets of stacked, thin-sliced layers of perfectly seasoned juicy beef or chicken döner, this is the spot! The lentil soup, the bread, and all the sides are all delicious and taste like home. I've had the plate with both chicken and beef, as well as the beef sandwich, but you can do the plate, the classic wrap, or sandwich; you can't go wrong with any of them. Good portions, amazing taste. Will try the iskender or a wrap for lunch next time. Hands down the best döner in the U.S., on both sides of the Mississippi :) Most "döner" places nowadays just put ground beef on a stick and call it a day. This is finally a local real döner place done the proper way. It's been so long since I've had remotely good döner that eating here, the flavor was so delicious and out of this world that it was almost... alien :P Friendly staff, great service, incredible food, great atmosphere: have to give it a try!

Alien Döner really lives up to its name, out of this world. The döner wrap was loaded with juicy, well-seasoned meat, crispy potatoes, and flavorful sauce. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion was very filling. The restaurant is clean and modern, and ordering through the self-service kiosks was quick and easy. Food came out hot and fast. If you're looking for great Turkish döner with a modern setup, this spot is a must-try. Highly recommended.

I went to Alien Döner and they must be staffed by extraterrestrials because no human delivers service this good. I've never been welcomed so warmly -- they treated me like I just landed from a long space mission. The döner? OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I'm a huge foodie and I've had döner all over the planet -- Turkey, Europe, everywhere -- and this is the best I've ever had. Perfect flavor, crazy quality, and portions that could feed a small galaxy. If you're looking for amazing et döner and next-level service, beam yourself here immediately!

I believe this place recently opened up as I had never noticed it there. As you enter you see a menu above with options for plates, sandwiches, and wraps. But on the kiosk they have a lot more variety of items so do not be fooled by the small menu of options. I scrolled thru and the had some great options with meat over fries, and other dishes. But I decided to get their Beef Lunar Cycle which were wraps cut up and served with Lebne and Rice. The sauce that came over the wraps was amazing! And the rice with vermicelli noodles just had such a nice texture and flavor that I wanted more. The meat though was a little dry hard for me. If the meat was a little more tender and juicy it would have been amazing but maybe it was just this day. They have a little seating area inside for dine in, one thing I would say is for the staff to maybe greet or interact with the guests. Since there's the kiosk the interaction is very minimal but it would add warmth by greeting and thanking guests as a part of customer service.

The service was super friendly and quick, everyone working there genuinely seems to love what they do. They happily walked me through all the options, from wraps to plates, and you could tell everything was made with care rather than rushed out. The portions are generous, the prices are totally fair, and the quality is way better than you'd expect from such a relaxed, casual spot. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a laid-back meal, this place serves up Turkish döner that's flavorful, authentic, and seriously satisfying.

Honestly I thought this was another kebab place in Lake forest, but it turns out I've never been to a doner concept like this. I think it's the 1st of its kinda around here. Ordered the beef döner plate which was juicy big portion of meat that came with crispy fries. The meat was well seasoned and thinly sliced. Although the portion was big I ordered another one to share with wife. This is the 1st time I felt like tasting a real tender doner with smoky flavor. It came pretty quick too we were surprised. Can't find doner anywhere else more authentic than this place makes it. Hats off

Food is good, service was okay, speed was disappointingly slow…read more I get that these places make their food to order so I expected a wait, but they have the word "express" in their business name so I had a false expectation. Needless to say I sat there waiting for my two to-go orders for what felt like an eternity. A lot of people flowed in after me and they were all just waiting, it was weird since it was empty when I walked in and then seeing 6 tables of people with no food. I thought I ordered the cheaper lunch special of chicken koobideh and beef koobideh, but he punched in the full portion instead. I didn't really mind as it just became extra food for dinner. But I feel like if someone is going in at the beginning of lunch time, they would be looking to order lunch menu stuff? I guess I can't expect people to do what I my logic would do. The two koobidehs is pretty much the same thing I order at any of these places because I prefer ground meat that's tender and juicy and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the combo beef and chicken plate, the beef gyro plate, and two falafel on the side. The falafel didn't look impressive, but they were surprisingly excellent--moist, flavorful, and honestly better than Sababa's. I'll definitely order six next time. The gyro plate was solid, not overly greasy or heavy, and the seasoning was just right. I wasn't a fan of the hummus, which had a bitter aftertaste, but my partner liked the tanginess, so that may come down to personal preference. On the combo plate, the chicken stood out: juicy and tender. The beef seemed to be a leaner cut and was a bit dry. I'd probably skip this particular beef kebab next time and try a different one. The saffron rice and grilled tomato were a nice complement. The plate also came with jumbo naan, served warm and smelling amazing, definitely a highlight.

Something that I cannot make, something that I've tried, yet the establishment still finds a way to give me a different and enjoyable experience. Boneless Chicken and Beef Koobideh Combo: One of the most dangerous things to order, as both things can either come out as dry, or start off as great, then dry up before you can finish. None of those scenarios happened here. The chicken was soft, juicy, seasoned very well, and it stayed that way. The beef koobideh had this smoky flavor profile, which is different from what I normally expect, and I liked it. Potato Boloni: I've never had boloni in my life, and the closest comparison I have is a Chinese or Korean pancake. The boloni had areas of spiciness, and I think it had room to go higher. It's definitely an appetizer, and I won't mind having it again. Service: There were only 2-3 occupied tables when we went. I think the staff had plenty of time to take our orders, give us water, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. Ambiance: You could tell that the restaurant was designed to host wedding receptions or larger parties in mind. Stage, lights, and a bunch of stuff that may be overwhelming for some. I didn't mind. However this time I thought I would try something different. So I ordered online with Mint. All the pictures and reviews were decent so why not? Well I should've stuck with my OG's because this was not it. I ordered x2 buttered chicken that was in a very small container (see photo attached) for $20 EACH! Garlic Naan that was $5, Mango Lassi also $5 and Gelato. First, if you guys are paying $20 for a small tiny container of butter chicken in LH please please do yourself a favor and go try Southern Spice. Their flavors are mouthwatering and the portion is huge. I understand inflation but this is ridiculous and the flavor is blah. It's like there is no spices in there at all just butter and tomato sauce AND the kicker...no rice! Super weird to me that they do not automatically give you rice! Like who just orders butter chicken or any Indian,Chinese, Korean dish for that matter without rice! I mean rice has to cost you guys a pretty small fraction no? Just give people 1/2c of rice! If not, at least you should make note of that on your menu so people know ahead of ordering. The garlic Naan is decent really no complaints there, the Mango Lassi they gave me was the size of a kiddy cup (see photo) Literally a child's sippy cup is bigger than what I received for $5 insane! And just to make matters worse, when I opened by bag they placed my gelato directly on top of the hot food! So when I took it out, it had completely melted. $10 for melted pistachio creamy soup, just what I wanted. You guys have to do better for your customers. I get the price increases but for what you are giving and the immense amount of lack of flavors...is wild. Save your money, drive a little bit further and eat some true Indian food in Irvine/Tustin cause this place is not it. The pictures posted are truly beautiful but pictures are not everything especially when it comes to food quality and flavor. I am only giving two stars bc the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan were decent tasting.
