I was referred here by America's Tire since they don't have the facilities to align your new tires when you buy them. They probably would've taken my car here for me had I asked. I also think this is probably where some of the local dealerships (especially the pre-owned ones) bring their cars. The current prices are $60 for front-end and $80 for 4-wheel alignment. I asked them for a 4-wheel alignment but the mechanic said the measurement were within spec so they only did and only charged me for the front. I was in and out in 20 minutes. There's not much of a waiting area, but then again 20 minutes is not much of a wait. read more

I read many positive yelps of Alignment Services and it seemed the right place to go for my alignment. This place is fantastic. Shop is clean and organized. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and they had my car on the alignment rack right on time. Service time was less than expected and the issues I had have been cleared and the car rides straight and great. Some folks don't feel the bedside manners of the personnel are acceptable so they slam the rating but that's crazy. I not going there to be hugged. My mechanic recommended Alignment Services and said what makes them the best is they only do alignments. It was a great recommendation! Chris said he's been doing alignments for 30+ years and it was great to see he works with his son. Both are no nonsense. I brought him two cars and within 5 minutes of arrival, the first was on the rack. After Chris made the needed adjustments and performed a test drive on the first vehicle, the second car was on the rack and being adjusted. Within 45 minutes, we were done. If you're looking for a place that has a fancy waiting area and serves sparkling water while you wait, this isn't it. Went to BMW for complimentary vehicle check up, they recommended 4 wheel alignment with the usual insane BMW premium for their services. I called up my mechanic and asked if he can recommend someone to perform wheel alignment. This is how I got to know Chris from Alignment Services. Not only his pricing is beyond reasonable but he's is also quick, to the point and honest. After the inspection he told me that in fact my car is NOT out of alignment and I don't need the service. I'm sure it's a good shop and maybe quality work, but if customer service is important, don't expect it from Chris. Over the phone, he was non-engaging, short and sounded irritated. Making me feel like I was bothering him for calling. Made the appointment and gave him my car info. When I got there, same non-engaging personality greeted me with "move your car to a parking stall". Puts my car in the garage only to come back to inform me that my car could only be aligned at the dealer service department. I guess that would be too much trouble to say over the phone. I meant to write this review sooner. I had to buy a couple of tires at American's Tire and asked for their alignment services guy since they don't provide that service. I called Chris while I was waiting for my tires to be changed out. I was able to get a same-day appointment. He was quick efficient and the price was fair. I noticed there were a lot of regulars- assuming they were from other car businesses near him. Don't expect a lot of conversation-you're not allowed in the area. My wife went in today to get an alignment done to after I noticed a more bumpier than usual ride. After inspecting the car, the owner mentioned that the shocks and struts have gone bad and the alignment isn't the issue. So recently I was told I needed an alignment for our vehicle, and since we had jut put new tires on, I was told it needed to be done within 500 miles. Okay, no worries. Since I don't have a regular shop because we recently moved to the area I needed to do some research. So upon my research I looked on Yelp for shops that did alignments and read their reviews. Apparently a place called 'Alignment Services' I figured I couldn't go wrong, and they have a great review following to boot, yay! NOT! So I called, and got an answering machine. I figured ok, no problem, they're probably just really busy, but when the guy called me back, I was very disappointed. Turns out those good reviews are BS because when he called me back it felt like he was talking down to me and it felt like he did not want to be helping me. Bottom line my first contact with this company was very unpleasant, and needless to say they need to take some sort of 'Customer Servicer' course because I'm actually trying to bring business to you, you would think you would be a little nicer to me. So in closing my contact with them was very short, and will not be taking my vehicle or referring anyone to them anytime soon. read more

Alignment Services is a one-man shop, appointment-only, run by a guy named Chris Smith. He's locally regarded as the best in town; 2 different shops referred me to him with glowing recommendations. All the reviews state that Chris is efficient, honest, and tells it like it is, and I found that to be true. What more could you want in a mechanic? Sidenote... I think the no-frills name (Alignment Services) perfectly illustrates Chris's straightforward, no-nonsense style. I made an appointment for 10 a.m., showed up, and immediately had my car taken care of in around 20 minutes max. Chris told me I only needed the rear, so it cost $65 (it's $90 for all 4 wheels). The reviews also say that Chris isn't the warmest/fuzziest person you will ever meet -- well, that's more or less accurate. When I initially called him, I was more than a little thrown off by his curt way of talking. But I reminded myself that I was looking for a mechanic I could trust to do a great job, not someone to pat me on the back and sweet-talk me. But you know what? When I went in for my appointment, Chris turned out to be surprisingly pleasant and talkative in person. He's clearly a devoted dad and family man, too. Brought the car in after the BMW dealership suggested an alignment. Chris put the car up and told me it wasn't off enough to warrant a full re-alignment, but instead suggested that the uneven tire wear was due to an underinflated run-flat tire. No charge for the time spent. I then ordered new tires from Tire Rack and had them shipped to his shop, and had them mount and balance them. He then told me to drive for a couple thousand miles on them and bring it back to inspect the wear pattern to see if it still needed an alignment. Visited Chris yesterday and, similar to the other reviews, he got me right in at my scheduled appointment time (so rare these days - imagine that, honoring an appointment!). This alone gets 3 stars. The remaining 2 stars are for his honesty. He put my Accord on the rack, hooked everything up, and then informed me that my car was already within spec, so no adjustments needed. I asked him what I owed, and he said nothing. I certainly didn't expect that, but was sure impressed! From reading the other reviews I was nervous about interacting with the potentially volatile owner but, thankfully, was able to interact directly with Chris. So, no reviews on that part. Won't go anywhere else. Chris isn't rude, he's just not the talkative type. He IS however, the honest type: wouldn't even charge me for an inspection when I brought my car in for an alignment the first time (the rear bushings were shot - another shop had already happily charged me for an "alignment" that was off again as soon as I pulled out of the driveway). I replaced the bushings, brought it back and was very happy with the job. If you want someone to chat with, go to another shop - if you want it done right from someone you can trust, take it to Alignment Services. You don't find em like this anymore. Chris and his staff looked at my car I just bought because it was pulling to the left and I thought it needed to be aligned. He told me that it was not out of alignment and rotated my tires and it still pulled to the left. He told me it might be the steering rack. Asked me if I had a mechanic and I said yes. He didn't charge me a thing. I left and went to my office and though man he was really honest and I felt I could trust him so let me see if he can recommend a mechanic. He did and I went to them and they replaced a huge part on my car however it still pulled to the left, so at this time we are stumped but that company did not charge me either because they couldn't determine or fix it yet. She made an appointment, and they started working on the car immediately. In less than 10 minutes they checked the alignment and told her everything was within specs. and no alignment was needed.
