From the review photos I was a bit suspect of the products used (in many photos you can see flyaways / static looking hairs) and unfortunately my intuition was correct as my curls fell out within a few short hours later. So I booked an appointment right then and there. Susan had availability and was able to take me in without booking an appointment ahead of time. However, it was a one time case scenario. All I have to say is that she was so personable, professional and did an amazing job. She washed my hair and gave me a great scalp massage. She took her time and made sure that I was satisfied with my wash. The products she used were amazing! Her products were all living proof and who doesn't love Jennifer Aniston's product line (I am extremely picky)! This has been by far my favorite! It was great for my curly poofy hair! After she washed my hair she asked me what side I like to part my hair and gave me a blow out, she then styled my hair in the manner in which I wanted. She was quick but attentive. I added myself to the waitlist after midnight and received an automated text, the next morning I received a phone call from the salon to learn more about the haircut type (trim), current hair length, and my availability. I was added to Leslie's schedule for 3:30pm that day. The person on the phone was warm and enthusiastic. I also appreciated all the text updates leading up to the appointment. Closer to the appointment time, I received a text link to check in. Upon arrival, I was greeted right away and taken to the waiting area which was stocked with SO many drinks and snacks! Prob the most and nicest setup I've seen for snack/drink offerings at salon. They make their own cold brew, have a large selection of teas, nespresso pods, milks, syrups, and bubbly drinks! Seriously such a cute setup. The salon itself is very clean and modern with a lot of natural lighting. Leslie was super sweet and I liked my haircut! My appointment wasn't too long but I didn't feel rushed at all. I went in on a Saturday and did not have issues with parking however I can see parking being a little tricky if you book during the week, so be sure to plan ahead just in case. I came in with multiple reference photos for what I thought was a pretty straightforward style: layers, curtain bangs, and a blowout, with about 3 inches taken off my base length. Instead, I essentially left with 3 inches taken off and a few layers in the front that didn't translate into the back. I was also disappointed to find that their version of a blowout was simply blow drying and curling the hair, which was not what I was expecting based on my photos. More than anything, I wish they had just been upfront and told me they weren't comfortable doing this particular haircut. When I showed the stylist my photos, they gave me several reasons why certain techniques or the style itself wouldn't work for my hair. I would have much rather known upfront that they weren't comfortable executing the look and waited to see my regular stylist. I also should have asked to see some of their previous haircut work beforehand as none of their work is similar to the photos I included here. I really tried to be understanding throughout the appointment, but unfortunately, I left with a basic haircut that wasn't what I asked for and a result I'm still dealing with weeks later. I went in for a curly haircut and consultation for highlights. I have type 3b/3c curls. The student provided exactly the cut I asked for, was very thorough, and even did a dry cut (which is best for curls). It did seem like all or most of the dolls in use by the students were straight hair, so the students may not all have equal experience with curly hair. The student I saw mentioned she had seen a lot of curly clients recently, and had been watching technique videos on YouTube for extra practice. I have had basically all the trendy curly cuts with professional salons (deva, Rezo, etc.). The student I saw did awesome and the cut was comparable to any of these specialty studios, but for $35 instead of the $200+ at full priced salons. Epic!

They let me return for a correction, but when I called to book for a root touch up three months later, I was told I was banned. I am well aware that this is a beauty school and students are learning, but that does not permit horrible hospitality amongst teachers and students. Scary to think some of these students will be in professional salons with horrible customer service. Can't believe it's my fault for speaking up. Simply advocating for the service I paid for got me banned. Talented stylists, zero accountability. Avoid if you have a specific look in mind.
