Just two weeks later, when I returned for toner, Tyler attempted to charge me an additional $200. When I politely questioned the pricing, he immediately became hostile, raised his voice, and told me to "get the fuck out." No paying customer should ever be spoken to or treated that way, especially after spending hundreds of dollars at a salon. His behavior was intimidating, unacceptable, and a complete embarrassment to the business. Professional salons should know how to communicate with clients respectfully, even during disagreements. I fully intend to contact the owner because nobody in a management position should be treating customers this way.

I show the stylist a picture of what I'm looking for, my hair is washed thoroughly, and then there's about 30 minutes of styling. I came in with multiple reference photos for what I thought was a pretty straightforward style: layers, curtain bangs, and a blowout, with about 3 inches taken off my base length. Instead, I essentially left with 3 inches taken off and a few layers in the front that didn't translate into the back. I was also disappointed to find that their version of a blowout was simply blow drying and curling the hair, which was not what I was expecting based on my photos. More than anything, I wish they had just been upfront and told me they weren't comfortable doing this particular haircut. When I showed the stylist my photos, they gave me several reasons why certain techniques or the style itself wouldn't work for my hair. I would have much rather known upfront that they weren't comfortable executing the look and waited to see my regular stylist. I also should have asked to see some of their previous haircut work beforehand as none of their work is similar to the photos I included here. I really tried to be understanding throughout the appointment, but unfortunately, I left with a basic haircut that wasn't what I asked for and a result I'm still dealing with weeks later.
