I had been here numerous times and was happy with the environment and the service, but evidently I think they must have sold. First off, they don't offer beverages anymore. The lady that did my hair did not even speak English. They were ALL speaking another language like Farsi or something. All talking amongst theirselves and the lady doing my hair never said a word to me. I'm wondering now, if she was even licensed. I'm beyond dissatisfied and my hair turned out awful. read more

I've recently moved to the area and have been looking for a local stylist. Driven by this place a dozen times. I had an event and REALLY needed a haircut last week so I gave them a call. No one answered the phone so I left a voicemail. Azi, the owner called me back within 10 minutes of leaving that message and set up an appointment time for that same day with Lea, a stylist at the salon. I arrived to a sparkling clean salon and a smiling beautiful woman ready to help. Lea did such a great job with my haircut. I've driven by this place a few times and needed a last minute updo for my bestie and I, and they were able to accommodate for the day and time I needed. The space is beautiful with clean lines and a beautiful aesthetic; lots of light and bright with hardwood floors. When I got there I was greeted by Azi (pronounced Ozzie) the new owner. She offered me champs, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. From my understanding this business has been around for 20 years. Azi herself has been a hairstylist and make up artist for almost 18 years. She has a fun, bubbly personality and we vibed really well. She is super invested into the business and the customer experience. Let me also clarify that I am an esthetician and make-up artist myself (for 12 years) so I pay attention to little details like product lines and sanitation. She uses only high end products in both her hair and make up and her space is spotless. You are probably thinking, geezus you talk a lot. Okay, lets talk about the actual hair. She told me I could come in with clean or dirty hair, she was going to wash it either way. I didn't have an exact idea of what I wanted, but we did some pinterest and with some suggestions from her it came out better than I expected. Here is something that people may or may not care about, I am tender headed and she was super gentle. I didn't even have to tell her that. The name for this place is completely wrong, shampoo and cocktails ? More like the library. How is it that you can't even be on your phone while your waiting? I got a call and I was on the phone for about 1 min before I had the reception tell me that I needed to step outside, because I was too loud, mind you there's women talking blow dryers on, mingling and two women (a hairstylist and her customer ) had an issue? I am guessing because my call was in Spanish and of course these two couldn't handle it. In a place where where they serve you cocktails and mingle but you have a problem with someone in a diff language taking a call? How ridiculous, never coming back here again. Don't recommend it. A place who isn't fair and treats others less isn't worth supporting. Tolerance goes a long way. These two had a problem with someone in a social setting being on the phone, and the establishment told me to get out. Taking my money elsewhere read more

My husband and I stood at their front counter for approximately 10 minutes waiting for an employee to provide us with information about their services. A young stylist was nearby cutting a lady's hair, she never acknowledged our presence nor did she call someone to help us. She could have told us if there was no one else to assist us or "someone will be with you shortly." What a deplorable customer service and despicable attitude. So I just moved to the OC at the beginning of the year and needed a good hair salon to take care of my hair. This I add because my last hair stylist burned my hair from over processing and I had a ton of breakage. I read the reviews from my fellow yelpers and saw the pics, which most definitely helped. So I decided to make an appointment with Destiny and 9 months later she is still doing a phenomenal job! I've given this place many chances, including under the previous ownership because it is nearby. There was a terrible, bitchy vibe there under the previous owner, and, with a few exceptions, had over-priced hairdressers who fell far short of their price point. Fast forward to the new owner, who doesn't have an adequate records system and runs it like a Super Cuts or Ulta hair Salon. $60 for a blowout and $15 extra for a straight iron. Really, I'm going to pay $75 for one hour of mediocre work? Plus tip? Spend that kind of money going someplace with really good stylists who can set their own prices or opt for someplace with more reasonable prices. Owner is greedy. read more

I recently returned to this salon, and go to to Chanel now. First off, she has given me the best haircuts ever. I'm turning 69 and love easy styles. I wear a Bob, and she is helping me grow it out and to try something different. The low lights are beautiful as well. People stop me on the street to tell me how great my hair looks.
