Wow, Great fresh food. Delicious. We stopped in and sat down, the service was snappy, Nikki took care of us, and the menu is pleasingly full, with lots of appetizers, entrees, the standard pho and vermicelli bowls and even a kids menu. You MUST get the egg rolls, they're not the pre-packaged frozen variety, as we confirmed they were made on site and were crispy, hot, fresh and delicious. Also enjoyed the lemongrass shrimp and which came with a nice fresh salad including cucumbers and tomatoes. But the winning dish at our table was the yellow curry with chicken and potatoes. The pricing is reasonable and we'd encourage the support of this great little spot down on the beach. It's February and raining m, so we couldn't try the outdoor seating, but it looks great. read more

I came here on a weekend and it was slow in the restaurant. I got the fish sauce wings and some other items. The wings were okay. The food is pricey for what you get. I think it was $15 for 6 weak wings? Better to hit an authentic viet spot. Waiter did not check on us once and was standoffish, but was laughing with other tables, it was bad service. We had the green papaya salad and the dressing was fish sauce with chili oil- was missing salt, lime juice, chili, and palm sugar (green papaya salad staples). We were very pleased with both dishes we got. They were flavorful and lots of meat. Both cost around $40 (no tip yet) which is quite high and unusual for these types of dish, though I know rent on Alki beach is not cheap. Service was good but there were only a couple of tables besides us so can't say much. 1 thing I recommend the owner is to use a bigger bowl for the noodles soup. It's very easy for the broth to be spilled if the server walks too fast (and it happened with the pho for us as there's broth in the dish under the bowl). And when the vegetables are in, it's very hard to mix them together. We love the decor and the cocktail list looks interesting so we will definitely come back. read more

This restaurant had what appeared to be, of all the restaurants at Alki Point, the nicest outdoor seating, so my friend and I decided to try it, without having read any reviews of it. My friend ordered the shrimp and mango salad. I ordered the "specialty noodle soup," aka, beef stew, When I asked how it differed from pho, the waitress said it was like beef bourguignon. Unfortunately, it tasted like warmed up, bland beef stew with hot water thrown in and a few concessions (bean sprouts, jalapeno...) to Vietnamese cuisine. It doesn't work. Also, there was a huge gob of what I first thought was fat but turned out to be tendon! There were small pieces of tripe as well. None of this was indicated on the menu. I'd want to tend towards 3.5 stars mainly due to price/value. They're located right on Alki Beach, so location wise, I suppose I understand the relatively high prices, especially given the lack of options in Alki, but in general, all things being equal, I'd probably be more inclined to head to Delridge and White Center to find pho just as tasty if not more, at more moderate prices. Other side of that coin: if this was priced more like those areas, I'd be more inclined to come here for the better ambiance. Anyhoo, if you're craving pho and are in the Alki area, this place is solid and worth checking out. read more

Great location! The food and service are good. I had better Pho elsewhere. My only complaint is not really a complaint due to the location. That complaint is the price. $20 for a large pho (combo) is a bit expensive. You can get better tasting pho for much cheaper in Little Saigon. You just won't have a view of the Puget Sound and the service might not be as attentive as here. If you are in Alki and craving some Pho, this is the place for you. read more

I wish Yelp allowed half stars in reviews because my experience at Alki Pho & Bar was exactly what I think of as a 3.5. The food was solid but not spectacular -- the pho blended into the sea of pho options in Seattle but the vermicelli bowls stood out visually and in flavor as a strength. I don't usually comment on service, but or experience wasn't great. For a newer restaurant, the waiter was not confident about how to address our gluten allergies and didn't offer to check with the kitchen to confirm what was safe to order. We ended up sharing a fresh roll he recommended without the wonton stick, but it arrived with the stick intact and with a peanut sauce we confirmed wasn't safe for us either after it arrived. Disappointing. The location is the saving grace. It's unquestionably the prettiest place to get Vietnamese food in Seattle. Getting some fall pho on the water with an Olympic sunset has a way of melting away my complaints. read more

Came in with a party of 4 and asked to be seated on the patio because we had our dog with us. We were quickly seated outside and our waiter recommended some jasmine tea as it was quite chilly. It came out in a full pot which was more than enough for us to all share to keep warm while we decided what to order. Three of us got steak pho and one had the chicken fried rice. Everyone really enjoyed their meals! I've had some seriously good pho in Los Angeles and this one absolutely held its own. The strawberry margarita also hit the spot. I felt like I was greeted with a warm hug the minute I walked in. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The menu has all the yummy Vietnamese staples banh mi/pho/vermicelli bowls/rice dishes. This visit I tried the steak pho. SIZE LARGE PLEASE! The portions are huge. They don't skimp on the meat, noodles, or soup. The meat they use is so tender and fresh. The broth waS perfect and not too salty. My husband ordered the short rib pho. The tender meat fell right off the bone. Their fish sauce wings are some of the best I've ever had! My family and I absolutely love this place so much that we are regulars. In the winter, we found ourselves coming multiple times in one week to dine in or get take out. The service is amazing with attentive and sweet staff. The owner is great too. They are very accommodating and bring fruit to our table for our 1 year old son. They have a changing table in the women's room, high chairs, and plenty of seating, too. Lastly, the food is delicious. My husband and I have tried our fair share of pho, bun, and bahn mi. This is our favorite spot! There are at least six other Vietnamese restaurants closer to our home, but we choose to come to Alki Pho and Bar every time. Plenty of seating. Chose not to sit outside as the tables and chairs are metal but sat at the edge of indoors to outdoors with standard restaurant tables and chairs. In doors the seating spacing and bar area separated and comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. Menu relatively direct and easily coordinated. Started with the fresh roll and shrimp. True to name fresh and soft. Peanut sauce was nicely garnished with crushed peanuts. Very good item. Pho options are standard with a small and large size option. The kid and I both chose large. Kid chose steak and I chose the combo. The garnishes provided appropriately separate. The broth was excellent and so was the various forms of the beef. My only complaint was the noodles a bit stringy and thin which made using the wood disposable chopsticks a bit challenging. Spouse got the grilled pork vermicelli. Also nicely prepared and fresh. Overall this is is solid and good option when on Alki beach area for pho and other lighter options. There is a small premium on prices for the Alki ambiance compared to other Vietnamese and pho local setups but this is understandable and provides another nice option for drinks and dining on Alki for our family. Very very happy with the overall experience and will make this a part of our rotation in this neighborhood year round. read more

Simply amazing ! Me and my mom got the Thai tea, spring rolls, beef short ribs and combo pho they also serve drinks and my mom had a tasty Moscow mule that I tried and was mixed to perfection. This restaurant will be here to stay from the amazing servers to the amazing fresh and tasty food I can always go for pho on a rainy Seattle day but the broth being made so yummy and fresh is just a bonus, everything tasted amazing thanks guys will be back soon ! read more
