Mike and his team were amazing. First, when I called him up and asked for a quote, he simply told me that he wouldn't cut my trees until the right time of year to keep from hurting them. It immediately showed that he really did care about the work he was doing and not just in it to do a job. I called 3 different tree services. I had a big hanging limb that broke and needed to be done right away. Access tree not only had the best price but came out the next day. They showed up on time and did an excellent job. The worker went up in a bucket and used ropes to guide the cut pieces to the ground. They had a chipper for all the excess pieces. We had a 30 year old (20 ft tall) Pecan tree in our front yard that we loved. Unfortunately, its roots were starting to impact our foundation so it had to go. After reading reviews here and checking them out on BBB and confirming that they had workers comp insurance ( I do my homework), I had them come out and give a bid along with 2 other candidates. We had been using artistic arborist for the trimming for several years and they did a great job but when I checked their status their license had expired and they had no workers comp now either. He was actually the highest bid but we felt most comfortable with him and he even knocked it down a little after we told him the other bids. However, he did such a good job we paid him more than the final bid. He deserves to make a profit after all. I was really pleased with the stump grinding. About 18 inches down. This was really good because we are lowering the dirt level in our yard due to moisture issues. He also insisted that he couldn't put his equipment on our driveway because of it's weight even though that made the job more cumbersome for the crew. I really appreciated that concern since it was a new driveway too. If I had any more tree related work I would definitely call him back. read more
