This place is under new ownership with a new vet Dr. Singh. My puppy of 4 mos old broke his leg and needed a very complex surgery with plates. Dr. Singh knew a great specialist from Davis that he called in to do the surgery. There was no other specialist near who did these complex surgeries. I can not thank this office enough for their care and compassion in the long road to recovery. Dr. Singh knew this dr from Davis I think and had him do the surgery in his office in Rio Vista that saved me many thousands of dollars on the bill. This is a full service clinic...once diagnosed, all tests and medicines are available right there. Staff is friendly, and you can get care most times the very day you call. Vet care is expensive, no matter where you go, and that's why we signed up for Figo Pet insurance through Costco. They pay 80% of all care that's not a normal check-up or shots. $250 deductible. My dog didn't have to put a muzzle on for his appointment for the 1st time ever since Dr Ted retired.

Super disappointing. When I actually have an appointment the Vet is great. Dealing with a prescription is absolutely ridiculous. Did a trial for medication for a cat, it worked well. Called back to get a prescription was told they carry it and waiting for the order to come in Monday. Monday I get a call they are not getting the medication come pick up a prescription. I get the prescription drive to Walmart to get it, drive home it's the wrong type. I needed a tablet not a capsule- the same form that was provided for the trial. Call the Vet back to get the correct prescription drive back to Walmart to get it filled. Now 30 days later there is no refill on the prescription- call the Vet back they now have it in stock and I'll pick it up the next day. I go to the Vet to pick up a 30 day supply and it's $62.00. This is ridiculous when the cost at Walmart for a 30 day supply is $13.42. Then when I decline the inflated price I'm given an attitude when asking for a prescription that I can take to get filled elsewhere for a reasonable price. So, now I wait for them to call back so I can go back to the Vet and pick up a prescription. It is really disappointing service and appalling price gouging. It is definitely making me look into a Vet out of town to not have to deal with the attitude & price gouging. read more

First off all the good reviews on this page are for Dr. Shultz who was a great vet. Secondly the only mistake Shultz made was selling to these over charging bad service wannabe vets. If these guys offered free service I wouldn't accept it. They have overpriced every service they perform. Also you can tell the employees are unhappy working there knowing how bad they're gauging Rio Vista residents. Hopefully a new vet will read these posts and open up shop in Rio Vista so we can have someone decent in town. I should have listened to multiple neighbor's telling me not to go there but I did. If I could give NO STARS, that would be my rating! After having a wonderful, caring, and all around GREAT VET ( Dr Ted) for over 20 years, I was absolutely shocked when it came time to try the "new vet in town." $79 for an office visit! Meds were 3 times the actual cost . Supplements routinely prescribed every visit! Trumped up charges, like $400 for a blood test! Being the only vet in town, I cringed every time I had to take my cat or dog in. Took them both in at the same time and, you guessed it, $79 and $79 for the office visit. Each time I would vow to NEVER return to this asshole of a vet. The latest, AND LAST, visit was for my cat. He had already been seen about a week earlier, and was not responding too well. Dr Singh said, "He's probably won't get better. I think you should let him go." I'm devastated at this point. Had $1000 worth of "treatment" already. Very hard decision to make, but I agreed to have him put down. 20 minutes later he comes back with "the shot." I'm totally crying, holding him on the table and he lets out a cry/ growl and I said "What are you doing? You are supposed to be taking his pain AWAY, not causing MORE! I look over and he is TRYING to put a catheter in his leg! WHAT??? Everytime I've had to put a pet down, it was 1 injection or a calmer shot first and then a shot that puts them down. So Dr Singh shows his true colors and yells "I have been doing it this way for 20 years" and I said "Well you aren't doing it this way today!! I picked up my cat and stormed out of the office. Vowing to NEVER RETURN to this over priced, money hungry asshole of a vet. I don't think he even LIKES animals! Fast forward about a week......my cat is DOING GREAT! Minus a $300 plus vet bill. I actually have been waiting for him to send me a bill for the office visit!! Not 1 person I have talked to has ANYTHING GOOD to say about All Animals Vet! The only reason he is staying open is because there is no other vet around. The girls that work there are great! They just shrug their shoulders. They know he's a jerk/ I get that...they need their jobs. Well, he wont get ONE MORE PENNY ( actually hundred dollar bills!) from me, 3 of my neighbors and I really hope you take this review to heart, and take your pets ANYWHERE besides ALL ANIMALS VETERINNARY Hospital. Preying on anyone in their grief is one of the most despicable things anyone can do - but doing it when you're about to say goodbye to your faithful companion of 12+ years is disgusting. Last year this vet charged my step dad $350 to put his 15 lb dog down. This week he called to put his 7lb dog down and they told him it was going to be $430+. I would like to exercise my 1st amendment right and share my opinion of All Animal Veterinary Service in Rio Vista. He is a crook! He over charges for his services! I was new to the area in February and saw the town had only 1 vet. I had my current vet fax my pet history and medication list to Dr. RIP OFF and made an appointment. He came in, looked at her medication list, listened to her heart and said thank you. That was a $200 office visit. Fast forward to now. I called to order a medication refill. They had no record of my pets current medications. I had my old vet re fax the list. I received a call from Dr. RIP OFF's office yesterday afternoon confirming the fax was received . I went to the office today and was told they had no record of my request or the faxed list of the dogs medication. I was told that since Dr RIP OFF has not seen my dog, I would have to make an appointment. I told them no thank you and I no longer need your services. I know I'm not the only person that has had this type of experience with this vet. Thanks for letting me vent. read more

Being new to Rio Vista, I needed information on County Animal Services, and how to report two neglected & sick animals, chained in a feces-filled backyard, with no shelter from rain nor extreme heat, no obvious water-bedding-food. What a wonderful place. I was extremely surprised at the courtesy of the staff including the doctor. They even scheduled me for extra time to speak with him concerning my dogs issue. Dr. Ted is the best. He is so patient with animals and owners alike. We have cattle dogs who are pretty "not okay" with being indoors, especially around people. He understands that they are not trying to be difficult, it's just all really weird & scary for them. He's done more emergency surgeries for us than I care to count (including wiring a canine tooth back in), and recently, he took the time to call my husband and counsel him on a dog who was terminally ill. He goes above & beyond "doctoring" the critters, he takes the whole family into account. Not many like him around. read more

This is a great vet clinic. We recently moved here and our 16 year old cat developed a skin allergy. Dr. Ted and all the vet techs were very nice and helpful. Our previous vet would have wanted to run a bunch of tests or prescribe some expensive medication. Dr. Ted suggested changing her food to a prescription food for allergies first. Since our cat is so old I'm always hesitant about giving her medication and I was relieved Dr. Ted recommended modifying her diet first. He's very knowledgable and makes you feel at ease.
