Today I brought in my outdoor cat because of a recent abcess and they wanted to charge me $1,600!! For an abcess. it gets worse, when i was asked to leave my cat so the doctor could look at her, I was not informed that I would be getting charged $165!!! For just the visit to be told she had an abcess (already knew this) now my cat was essentially held hostage unless I paid the $165 visit fee. The new owner of the business is absolutely shameless

The receipt from Walmart for the cost of the medicine for a cat.

Super disappointing. When I actually have an appointment the Vet is great. Dealing with a prescription is absolutely ridiculous. Did a trial for medication for a cat, it worked well. Called back to get a prescription was told they carry it and waiting for the order to come in Monday. Monday I get a call they are not getting the medication come pick up a prescription. I get the prescription drive to Walmart to get it, drive home it's the wrong type. I needed a tablet not a capsule- the same form that was provided for the trial. Call the Vet back to get the correct prescription drive back to Walmart to get it filled. Now 30 days later there is no refill on the prescription- call the Vet back they now have it in stock and I'll pick it up the next day. I go to the Vet to pick up a 30 day supply and it's $62.00. This is ridiculous when the cost at Walmart for a 30 day supply is $13.42. Then when I decline the inflated price I'm given an attitude when asking for a prescription that I can take to get filled elsewhere for a reasonable price. So, now I wait for them to call back so I can go back to the Vet and pick up a prescription. It is really disappointing service and appalling price gouging. It is definitely making me look into a Vet out of town to not have to deal with the attitude & price gouging.

I would like to exercise my 1st amendment right and share my opinion of All Animal Veterinary Service in Rio Vista. He is a crook! He over charges for his services! I was new to the area in February and saw the town had only 1 vet. I had my current vet fax my pet history and medication list to Dr. RIP OFF and made an appointment. He came in, looked at her medication list, listened to her heart and said thank you. That was a $200 office visit. Fast forward to now. I called to order a medication refill. They had no record of my pets current medications. I had my old vet re fax the list. I received a call from Dr. RIP OFF's office yesterday afternoon confirming the fax was received . I went to the office today and was told they had no record of my request or the faxed list of the dogs medication. I was told that since Dr RIP OFF has not seen my dog, I would have to make an appointment. I told them no thank you and I no longer need your services. I know I'm not the only person that has had this type of experience with this vet. Thanks for letting me vent.

Great vet. Everyone was very nice to me and Kato and provided quality care. I even mentioned Kato was more comfortable with women and Dr Ted made sure his assistant came in to hold him.

This is Tucker. He was the patient I brought in for a workup.

Over priced, up charging exams, medications, and will push you to buy unneeded medications.

I've been a customer with this vet office since 2022 when I moved to Suisun and started taking my…read morechihuahua Benito here. At first I had no complaints. They even had one of the doctors fix his teeth. They took really good care of him during that procedure. About 2 years ago the team started becoming real sticklers about the heart worm medication I gave him every month. It was a nuisance but I figured it was a safety precaution as they explained to me. Then when my fiancé moved in with his 2 pit mixes it became pretty ridiculous. This vet office had policies that are incredibly strict around prescribing heart worm medication. And with 2 medium sized dogs and a little, the price of these meds is WILD. I know this inflexibility around policy is not typical since I've asked folks about their vet experiences and found that some vets will have you sign paperwork that says you understand the risk of not getting them tested every year in order to ensure the dog can stay on the flea tick heart worm meds. This strictness was also very different than my experience at Redwood Vet Hospital in Vallejo. I give my dogs their heart worm medicine every single month without exception. I never miss a dose. This vet office isn't really willing to work with dog owners and seems more loyal to their policies & money than trying to mitigate health risks & disease in dogs. They don't believe their customers who tell them that we don't miss a dose. They don't care if you understand the risks they're describing for a possible missed dose. They will proceed to talk to you like your dumb. I've experienced both Dr. Kafka & Dr. Brandwajn talking down to either me or my partner (over the phone) about how we care for our dogs. I used to work at a dog daycare and I understand that many, many owners don't really know how to properly care for their dogs. I feel for vets and what they have to see and deal with. But the way business is conducted in this office is not the way to make it better. I haven't seen Heather in the office for a while, I'm not sure if she still works there but she was one of the office staff who didn't treat me like I didn't know what I was doing and even leveled with me and said that if money was an issue I can get my 3 dogs vaccinated at the monthly SPCA clinic. She seemed to understand that the safety of the dog should be the priority, but when we took our dogs back for their next checkup at A4P after taking them to the vaccine clinic we were treated as if we were lying about them having been vaccinated. The amount of hoops we have to jump through just to get our dogs access to flea tick & heart worm meds feels like a scam. We've brought our dogs in just for a simple heart worm test or cytopoint shot and been quoted $1000+ for a wild amount of additional tests they wanted to tack on. I do not feel like this vet is trustworthy or has my dogs best interests in mind. Our experience at the last two visits has finally convinced us to change vets. Which is sad because I really wanted to support this local business that isn't owned by private equity. Please enjoy pics of the goodest dogs in the world

This is something no one ever wants to do, but if we bring furbabies into our hearts and homes, we'll likely have to do it at some point. The last thing I wanted to do was to traumatize my terminally ill kitty with a car ride to a cold, sterile vet's office (no offense to any vets) like I've had to in the past. After doing research, Dr. Noe was reasonably priced (although that's not necessarily super important in these situations), quick to respond, professional, and compassionate. She clearly explained what would be happening and allowed us to set the pace. Nothing happened until we were ready - including our final goodbye. Even better, when it was finally time to leave, Frankie was placed into a basket and tucked in with a blanket he would've loved. His passing was peaceful, respectful and surrounded by love. **The photo I'm attaching is him before they left. He looks like he's taking a quiet nap and I'm so happy to remember him this way.**
