Here's a strong, no-BS review Absolutely terrible experience with this towing company. I pulled up to a friend's place for literally a few minutes just to drop off food--went inside and came right back out, and my car was already gone. That's how aggressive and predatory this company is. When I contacted them and explained the situation, there was zero understanding or willingness to work with me. All of my personal belongings were inside my car--my wallet, phone charger, everything--so I was left stranded and had to walk over 2 miles late at night just to get to the tow yard. To make it worse, they charged me over $600 for having my car for less than an hour. That is beyond unreasonable--it's straight-up exploitation. I understand towing enforcement, but this felt like a setup to trap people and squeeze as much money out of them as possible. Horrible business practices, horrible people, and zero customer service. The most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced in my life! My car got wrongfully towed when I parked my car on the side of the street for less than 3 minutes with my emergency lights on. I quickly got towed and called in, and the man on the phone yelled at me saying "that's not my problem, I will call you back." I waiting with my 1 year old baby on the side of the street at 10pm for 20 mins for a response. When I finally called back and asked for an update, he denied he ever said that with an attitude and then yelled "Wah wah wah go cry about it! Hahaha your car got towed and you have to pay!" and yelled more over me disgusting words! I was left SPEECHLESS! This was the most unacceptable, unprofessional behavior I have ever seen! I tried to explain calmly that I'm left on the street alone in the middle of the night with my infant and no ride since my car seat was in that car, and even asked if they can bring the car back so I can pay since I have no way of getting there. Fee to get my car released $550.00 - At 2am, they said I could get my car at 3am because that's when the shift starts....go there at 3 and they said if I waited until 8am in the morning, the fee will be LESS $125.00 ( like an open gate fee or something ) -- They couldn't mention this over the phone when we called multiple times to get instructions? My parking permit expired, and they wasted no time towing my car just a couple of hours later- ok reasonable. At least now I know they're quick to tow cars and enforce their policies. If your apartment complex uses this towing company, be prepared to pay between $500 and $600 to get your car back. This is the worst tow company to deal with. With that being said the lady in the office was fine. Did her job and wasn't pushy or rude. Now the tow drivers are pieces of work. I have a permit displayed in my window and it was still towed. This is the second time the same company took a car with a permit and yet when I call them to remove a car parked in my assigned spot, they refuse to take it. Tow drivers refused to give a name because he knew he was in the wrong. He said that even with a permit he can take it if he wanted and that I have to pay to even get my items out of my vehicle as I need them for work. Today, I went to pick up my vehicle from your tow yard at around 10:11am. I paid the fees of $425.00 for the towing and the car was released to me. When your staff walked me out to my vehicle, I got into my car and turned it on. Upon turning on the vehicle, there was two messages that appeared on my dashboard: *My car has been towed before and this has NEVER happened* "Currently unavailable, see operator's manual" "Collision Prevention, Assist Plus, Inoperative" Per my invoice, it was noted that the tow method was "towed rear dollies front" which was NOT the method used to tow my vehicle hence the damage to my car. Also, there was inconsistencies with your invoice as the vehicle color of my car is Gray and NOT Black as listed on the invoice. After doing some research, a mercedes should never be towed with any wheels on the ground. This is how ALL BRAUNS towed my car: THIS IS NOT THE PROPER WAY TO TOW MERCEDES! If your staff is not using the proper equipment to tow foreign vehicles, they should not do so. My car was NOT in this condition when it was towed as I was driving yesterday perfectly fine. This means the car was NOT properly towed. Your drivers in fact DID NOT use a towed rear dolly to tow my vehicle which is why it triggered the sensors in this mode. ALL BRAUNS did not properly tow my vehicle with the proper equipment therefore the car is no longer running and could have detrimental damages. I believe ALL BRAUNS is responsible for these damages to my car as it was not properly towed. I am requesting that you give me a full refund for the following: -the towing fees - the diagnostics fee at the Mercedes Dealership - any damages that were done to the vehicle If you are not willing to cooperate and settle this dispute amongst ourselves. I will be forced to get legal advice and move forward in another direction. It is unfair for you or your staff to take the easy route and say "call your insurance". If this was a problem I caused, I would have no issues taking care of this but it was not. My car was parked in front of my home when they towed it during the middle of the night! There's a lot of stuff that you need to get your car back so come prepared because they make the process last longer than it should so that it can be 5:00pm and you have to pay the next day fee. My vehicle is parked right outside my garage with me washing my other car that is parked 10 ft away from car 1, my wife is inside the garage and we both have the vehicle in our sight (with supervision). I suddenly heard a metal scraping and hit the bottom of my car. In 2 seconds the front of my car got lifted. The towing guy backed up so fast that it endangeres pedestrians inside our community. He intentionally did not drive by instead, he went around so he can back up and get my car that fast. Again, this is with supervision of me and my wife. The guy lifted car 1 so high that his towing equipment damaged my front aero shield and both lower control arms. Towed my car after just running into my house for a couple seconds. Robert who was working the night shift was SO RUDE ! He caught an attitude with me when I was asking simple questions about my vehicle. Okay listen up. I am level headed and calm. I'm making this review based on this companies fairness and transparency. I want to say they handled my car with care which is why it's a 1 star and not negative. They were pretty professional except that they simply said I was lying on my police report even after the police took my info and filed a case. They simply said "we don't believe you" - the fat Mexican guy with eyes circles- this guy was talking to me and that's when I found out, if they have a person at the front saying that we don't honor police reports I should of known what type of business this is. They didn't try to get to the bottom of it they simply wanted there cash, which I don't blame them but you are dealing with people and their possessions so if they legally had no possession of there car and it was parked in a permit area zone then why would someone have to pay. I was told even if a cop comes out they still wouldn't release it without me paying, that is a crazy business structure. Anyways more reasons as to why I'm rating a 1 star is they just didn't even want to deal with me. I'm active duty military and often not home for days at a time. I work overnight and left my car at my residence. Then by the time I went to my car it had been 3 days and end up paying $700+ This whole situation was just weird. They are a one star company because before towing they can confirm with the residence that this license plate is valid. Which it was! So they are just scummy and want to be quick to tow when there is no necessary reason to tow with urgency in this establishment of a multi level parking lot that never fills up. The rude guy on the late night phone wouldn't give his name and hung up on us twice. We were forced to meet...literally in the middle of the night...on a dimly lit, shut down industrial cul-de-sac to pay and pick up...or risk being charged an additional fee by morning for "overnight storage". I was parked in a location in my apartment complex, authorized by the manager at the time and yet my car still got towed in less then an hour. I happen to step out to move my car and I see it's gone. I ask the property manager to give them a call, he just laughs and says no can do. I understand that enforcing parking rules almost always leaves the owner of the vehicle upset, but there are some things that I would just consider to be kind of scummy business practices. 1) Towing a vehicle at 4:35 pm when their office closes at 5pm, which I would not have been able to retrieve that same day without some hefty additional fines if I didn't live so close to their lot, and insisting over the phone that I call the office again *after* 5 pm to even make an appointment that could possibly happen *at* 5 pm (despite their page stating that they are open 24/7). 2) Invoicing me $100 for 1 day of "storage" even though I arrived *before my car was even off the tow truck*. 3) Asking me to sign god knows what before they charged my card, and then only showing the specific things I was invoiced for AFTER I signed for the transaction. On paper, as a person who parked in an unfortunate spot blocking *my own garage*, I admit that there were some moments here that I could have perhaps been smarter about this monetary exchange. Tow fee Hourly x 1.0 hour - $255.0 (questionable, because the car was picked up within 15 min of drive. No way the towing truck could take 1 hour! to reach their Newark impounding facility at 8150 Enterprise Dr, Newark, CA 94560) 2. Storage fee: $100 x 1 day(s) (questionable, because I collected the car same day, within 1 hour to 1.15 hour from their logged removal time.) Since when 1 hour started to become equal to 1 day for us human beings? Does not one (1) day have 24 hours? 3. Gate fee: $125 (questionable. Does it take to open and close the gate $125 for the company, once for entering and next time opening it to release? It was literally an automated sliding gate) 4. Special Equipment Service Fee: $60 (questionable, because the reported towing method was 'towed rear, dollies front'. Does it cost $60 to hook up towing jack to rear, and insert a dollies at the front...) Good luck, if these folks had gotten (or waited for an opportunity to pounce on it and stole) your car right under your nose. They took my car from condo visitor parking area, where I am a resident of. As soon as I noticed (within 40 - 45min) that my car is missing, I tried to track down and discovered that this company had towed my car in between. I arrived to pick up the car within 15min from (i.e. within 1hr of towing time) from my calling them up . No staff to be seen on the spot, when I arrived on the spot to get my car released and office-gate locked. Trying to know over phone whom should I contact, the (rude) person on the phone started sounding as if it was my fault that no person / no staff was to be seen on the spot, was repeating the same (wrong) instruction repeatedly. -- Edit: I discovered new scratches on the front-passenger side area, with front bumper loose now... whatever the their towing driver did trying to tow my car. I'm writing to report a vehicle theft committed by this company this morning at 3am, Monday, February 20th 2023 in the Heron Bay neighborhood of San Leandro. Even though the parking pass was clearly visible and not expired, the tow truck driver still took the vehicle. At their office when confronted and asked for the proof that the pass was not there or that it was invalid, the cashier said there was nothing they could do, only charge to release the vehicle. In our security footage we can clearly see the tow truck driver taking multiple pictures of the vehicle, but apparently there was no way for them to show us any proof, and we had to pay to release the vehicle to avoid incurring further charges. It is very apparent that the tow truck driver made an error in judgement and towed a vehicle which had a valid parking pass, and they do not want to show us the pictures because this would prove their guilt. This is grand theft auto, there is no other way of describing it. We have no other choice but to take legal action. Beware of this company. If you too become a victim of their theft, I advise you to take legal action as well. read more

This included an incident where the company towed the car of an Amazon delivery worker while she was actively making a delivery. The worker came out to find her car being towed away and chased after the tow truck, yelling and trying to get others nearby to stop the driver. However, the tow truck driver simply accelerated and drove off, despite the worker's pleas. The review further states that the towing company would park on the public road adjacent to the private property and wait, ready to pounce on any vehicles that were even a minute late according to the posted signs. They would then tow the cars, charging exorbitant fees to retrieve them, demonstrating a complete disregard for the impact on vulnerable individuals. Importantly, the search results indicate that the signs allowing towing were installed for the BART riders to prevent from parking on the private property. However, the property owners had not previously enforced the towing policy until recently, when they seemingly gave Auto Towing the "green light" to engage in predatory towing practices, targeting both non-resident and resident vehicles in an unlawful manner. This case underscores the egregious nature of this Towing's predatory towing practices and the need for stronger oversight to prevent such exploitation of car owners, especially those in vulnerable situations. We currently live at city view apartments in Hayward and woke up to our vehicle gone! I call to ask for the vehicle and ask why it was towed. Well they claim it was in the "wrong parking spot" mind you we have been parking in the space spot for over TWO YEARS! They tell me to bring proof that it's my spot so that's what I do when I am there they then say they need to confirm with the apartment manager that it is our spot( they could have just said this when I called it seems like they thought I was lying about it being our spot)! So I have to leave and come back AGAIN! Meanwhile no one will compensate the time I did not work. Well it turns out it was our spot !!! And they gave us back our car for "FREE"!!!
