I really wanted to hold off on writing this review until my issue was resolved but with the lack of…read morecommunication and negligence I feel the need to warn others about this business. I came in to buy a washer and dryer for my new home. The store is divided into new appliances, used, and a eclectic collection of furniture. The owner of the business was friendly and helped me select a washer and dryer pair which was promptly delivered the next day. Also of note, the store has a warranty where they'll address any issue up to a year after purchase. Here is where the issue began. The men who delivered the appliances bought the units to the laundry room and installed them in a timely manner. After they installed the dryer and ran a test cycle, I could hear an awful banging/ clanking sound coming from the machine. After a few tries to fix the sound they decided that their job was done. HOWEVER. When I went up to run the machine to check that everything was in working order, I noticed that the dryer was STILL making a noise. When I went back down to the garage to ask them about the problem they were GONE. They were in so much of a hurry they didn't even ask me to verify the items were delivered in good condition - they practically ran out the house! So I called the owner and told him about the situation to which he came back out the next day. He arrived and disassembled the dryer to fix the sound that it was making. Quite odd if the dryer is supposedly brand new - why would a brand new unit need to be disassembled already? I was in the middle of moving so I told him that I was going to the other house (just five minutes down the road) to pack up the last of my belongings, but to just let me know when he's about to leave so that I can come right back. Instead, he just texted me to let me know that the dryer is fixed now and that he left. So upon my return, I went to run another cycle on the dryer and lo and behold, it's still making the banging/clanking sound. Repeat the whole thing again. I recorded a video of the dryer running and sent it to the owner. He returns again, checks the dryer, and just tells me that there's nothing wrong. Obviously it wasn't working properly because I can visually see something banging up against the side wall of the dryer in addition to the noise. I sent him another video to let him know the issue was never resolved and the dryer is still making a banging sound while running. To note, the load wasn't off balance or anything. Regardless of the size of the load - full load, small, light, heavy, empty - it's still making that banging sound while running. Unsurprisingly, he stopped responding to my text messages. I can see that he reads them, but no response. I regret patronizing this establishment and should have just went to a big box store instead. Now I'm stuck with a defective dryer since they have a "no return" policy which isn't fair if the unit isn't working properly from the very beginning!

We brought our truck, picked out what we wanted, they helped load it up, and my husband installed them that evening. Win! They do offer delivery and install, through a third party they work with. It was fairly reasonable but we didn't want to wait. Also, you can bring your old appliances back and drop them off. They will recycle them for you. Subtracting one star because the sales person was bad talking the brands they don't carry. With a passion. At the end of the day, even if the brands suck, I'm not a fan of talking negative against the competition. "I don't reccomend it." Or "We don't carry XYZ because we only carry products we can stand behind" would be sufficient.

They fixed my broiler and showed me what to do if it happens again. Instead of pressuring to buy a part, they explained how to work with what I had (giving me the option). They also fixed the springs on my oven door, and gave me some tips on using my range. You have to make an appointment and be a bit flexible, since they are based in Stockton. Call ahead, they are pretty booked.

My wife spent Thursday going to the usual places, Home Depot and Lowe's, prices were fairly high for basic models. I had her check some local appliance places as I try to keep our money local with local small businesses. She happened across House Depot and went to look around. Aaron greeted her and showed her what they had. Now House Depot sells new units that may have some blemishes or were denied delivery for one reason or the other. House Depot is then able to sell these new with warranty units at deep discounts. We were interested in two units, but I wanted to see them in person. I was able to get to their place of business about 15 minutes before they closed and looked at both. Aaron was gracious and stayed after closing to answer all of our questions and worked a cash deal on one of the units. We set up delivery for the next day. The unit was delivered and set up the next day as promised. Since this is a new unit there were a couple of questions I had that were not answered with the owners manual. Aaron called me back within a few minutes of leaving a message and answered my questions that also alleviated a concern I had. Aaron was so great to work with, the entire experience was top notch. If we need any new appliances, we WILL be going back to House Depot, the products, delivery, pricing and treatment just can't be beat. Also our money is staying in town with a small local business. My wife and I are extremely happy customers.
