All Chill in Leimert Park: Where Hip-Hop, Heat, and Ice Cream Collide I didn't just stop by for ice cream. I walked straight into a vibe. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like someone had designed the space with my memories in mind. Hip-hop history on the walls. Wu-Tang echoing in the visuals. Vintage lunchboxes lined up like trophies. Stools shaped like ice cream sandwiches. This isn't just a shop. It's a museum of flavor and culture. Then it happened. I looked over and saw them. The Purple Tape Diadoras. One of my grails. Raekwon released them to honor his 1995 album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., which was famously nicknamed "The Purple Tape." The original cassette was made with translucent purple plastic, a nod to the color-coded packaging dealers used to mark top-shelf product on the street. That album didn't just shift the sound. It changed the energy. So seeing those Diadoras on display? That hit different. The owner is from Brooklyn and clearly a sneakerhead who honors the culture. Every sneaker, every vinyl, every comic book and collectible in this space feels intentional. Nothing is random. It's curated with love, memory, and style. Now let's talk ice cream. I had the Cookie Monster and the Voodoo Sorbet. Both were rich, flavorful, and hit just right. The textures were smooth, the ingredients felt clean, and the creativity was real. Prices are more than fair. Service was warm, welcoming, and unforced. It felt less like a transaction and more like a conversation. All Chill is not just an ice cream spot. It's a cultural drop-in. A sneaker archive. A celebration of hip-hop. A Leimert Park gem with Brooklyn flavor.

Came here for the first time yesterday loved the place it's a hip hop inspired ice shop and the ice cream didn't disappoint i got the lavender honey flavored it was light in taste and texture with the perfect hint of lavender and honey ice cream was authentic (all natural) I would definitely come back to this place the young lady who worked at the front was extremely pleasant check out my photos below for the current menu and my ice cream they also allow you to sample the ice cream before purchasing which is awesome that way you know exactly what you are purchasing

    Salted Caramel - Medium

Stopped by this Leimert Park hidden gem and walked away happy! Not only do they have free samples but an artisanal menu with fun flavors. I ordered a Medium cup of Salted Caramel and was surprised with how smooth it was. The staff were nice , yet proactive and very down to earth with there attitudes. The shop is adorned with hip hop memorabilia and black art. The overall business for me is a 10/10 and the only thing better is there ice cream! Please check this place out the next time you're in the Leimert Park Area!

Was fortunate to run into their Prosperity Market booth at the Natural History Museum event. The salted caramel ice cream was delicious and my daughter really enjoyed the chocolate. Customer service was extremely helpful when trying to decide on what flavor to get. Definitely recommend.

Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

But I wanted to leave a review because the girl (I forgot to ask her name, sadly) who helped me today was really lovely! I bought 30g of their matcha and admittedly thought when they didn't give it to me at the counter that they forgot, but I sat down at a table to eat my ice cream and decided to just ask for it after I finished. Thank goodness I did, because the cashier came up to my table about 10 minutes later and handed me a little bag of fresh-ground matcha. She took a second to explain to me how to store it and keep it fresh, and I just really appreciated the extra bit of customer service, even if it's something they're maybe expected to do. When I have the money, I'll definitely come back and get their 100g pack! Highly recommend this place for any matcha lovers, whether you're looking for a drink, a sweet soft serve treat, or matcha for home use.

[Parking]: I typically park at the Aiso Parking Garage (101 Judge John Aiso St). Unfortunately, the lot has a new parking rate starting in January 2026 with $1 per hour for the first two hours, $5 for each additional hour, and a $6 flat rate after 5 PM. I do not recommend the designated parking garage at Weller Court as the rate is $4 for every 15 minutes (unless you get validation from Marukai Market after spending over $25.) [Atmosphere & service]: The cafe has indoor seating with public outdoor tables also available. Personally this shop has more of a grab-and-go vibe. I was not a fan when the cashier asking whether I wanted to upgrade my drink from 16 oz to 24 oz and whether I wanted to buy a cookie. [Menu]: Some of Yelp's top recommended drinks include the Iced Matcha Latte, Strawberry Matcha Latte, and Iced Hojicha Latte. The shop also offers matcha or hojicha soft serve ice cream. The shop serves coffee from Demitasse (Demitasse's very first cafe was located across from Midori Matcha Cafe, but that location has since closed with the sole location Santa Monica.) *** Hojicha latte (Iced, 16oz Regular, Low Fat milk - $6.50): It tasted a bit diluted, but at least the drink tasted like actual hojicha and did not have a chocolate aftertaste. *** 3.5-star for the drink and bump down due to the attempted upselling.

They have so many locations and only wish they had more. The closest to me is about 20mins away but it's worth the drive every time. I love this location especially. Always such friendly staff and never have to wait in a long line. Basically, if you're a newbie, you go in and ALWAYS as for the "seasonal flavors" for tasting. They give you tasters on silver spoons and you drop it down this hole when you're done. It's literally their culture to give you a taste of everything on their seasonal menu so don't skip out on this experience. It's the best way to try their ice cream. FUN FACT: they also have 1-2 flavors that are considered "last chance" flavors which means they are about to run out so get it before it's gone. Each month I go in to try another tasty flavor and it never disappoints but I am sometimes that girl who tries the new stuff but ends up getting her usual order (chocolate brownie) and am always happy. Just the smell of sugar cone alone when you walk in gets you hooked. The atmosphere is just so welcoming. Don't be intimidated by the many flavors to choose from because there are a lot. I like to get their double scoop in a waffle cone, but they also have awesome split scoop options for those more adventurous and want to try multiple flavors in one scoop. Saves you for when you're keeping your sugar levels down. There are usually always places to sit inside or outside so you can enjoy your goodies right away.
