Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the peach cobbler from Kobbler King! They were at the West Adams Jazz fest and I grabbed one on Sunday for $12! Got home, heated it up and I just couldn't stomach it. The crust wasn't a crust, the peaches weren't good and the cobbler glaze created when making the cobbler was bad. I've had many people say they can make a great peach cobbler and they normally do very well even w the crust! This was just some type of crumble topping w no real crust in the cup at all. I tried my best with this by trying 3 spoons of it and just had to toss it! I'd always heard of this place and never got to try it, and now that I have tried it I'm highly disappointed. The flavors and texture were great and it tasted super fresh. The desserts were a bit on the sweeter side, but otherwise I highly recommend trying! I feel so lucky to have this hole in the wall no fuss shop in my neighborhood. This is our go to shop for pies for every special occasion. This place is special because it's family owned and the product is exceptional. Our favorite is the ultimate peach cobbler. We also love the pecan and sweet potato. This shop offers pies in several sizes and I love the mini personal pies when you get a craving. We have even given these pies as gifts to loved ones and neighbors. After searching high and low for monkey bread, I found this location. I drove about 15 miles. There was a line out the door( which I expected given the holiday). I bought a loaf of monkey bread. When I was handed the loaf to pay, it looked really brown on top and was heavy. No biggie, afterall I had never had theirs before. Fast fwd to my holiday dinner. I heated up the loaf- brushed the top w/ thin layer of warm butter. Everything went downhill... the bread was very dense and spongy to chew. It was nothing like I had ever had. My family couldn't even eat it. Thank goodness we had some store made " back up rolls". This monkey bread was horrible. The consistency wasn't good at all. Maybe their specialty are peach cobblers? My Dad went to this location a week head of time to place an order for pick up on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He paid that day and expected to pick up his items on Wednesday and be on his way. HOWEVER! When he arrived after 5pm Wednesday to pick his "reserved" Medium Peach cobbler, Small Peach cobbler & Medium Blueberry cobbler up, he was told they didn't have any more small peach cobblers, and that they only had a medium, and then the girl said "I saved the last blueberry for you". So my Dad is confused by this because he already placed his order ahead of time and was now told they didn't have one of the items he purchased & that they "held" the last blueberry for him when HE ALREADY PAID FOR THESE ITEMS! So he said the medium isn't what he ordered, but that was fine. The girl then tells him the medium is $10 more. This was NOT his fault that they gave away the small and then charged him because they no longer had what he originally paid for. He was suckered into getting the medium that is now living in the freezer because it was way too much to eat for the 2 people that wanted it hence as to why he ordered 1 small! We weren't impressed at all. The peach cobblers were just okay & the blueberry was a HARD PASS! I took a bite, tried to be nice and not waste it. Tried to pass it off to family and we all agreed no one wanted it. I don't know what type of crust they used or what else they put in it, but it tasted like there was cheese in it.
