To make matters worse, the two bathrooms share the same drain and are back-to-back. My parents called a plumber they knew, and I had high hopes that he would be able to unclog the drain at 9 PM. After examining the cleanout in the driveway, he said, "We lost." What do you mean, "we lost?!" You're a plumber! You're supposed to know how to unclog pipes. I live in an old house that doesn't have a two-way sewer cleanout port, so there was no way for him to snake back into the house from the driveway. The last time we had a clog this bad was about 20 years ago. The previous plumber had to remove both toilets to send a snake down the Y drain. The plumber my parents called wasn't going to pull toilets at 9 PM. I was stressed because my children needed to bathe and use the toilet before going to bed. I tried plunging the toilet many times without success, and liquid pipe cleaner was useless. Fortunately, we have an ADU in the back, so we were able to shower and get ready for bed. The next morning, I called several plumbers, including Boxers Plumbing. The receptionist at Boxers Plumbing promptly sent a work order to one of the plumbers, who called me within 15 minutes. My conversation with Raphael was very professional. He asked about the clog and its location, then provided an estimate over the phone. I was skeptical of the estimate because it seemed unreasonably LOW for what I thought he would have to do. Raphael arrived within the hour, as he had mentioned. I had expected a discount plumber based on the quote, but I was mistaken! When he entered the house, he put on boot covers to avoid dirtying the floors. After checking the clog, he laid down a roll of paper from the front door to the bathroom and removed only one toilet to clear the blockage. It was incredibly fast! From his arrival to clearing the clog, replacing the toilet, and wiping the floor, the entire process took just 45 minutes. I couldn't believe how quickly he worked, so I checked the time when I took a picture of his arrival and another after the job was done. Boxers Plumbing saved me a tremendous amount of stress and money. I highly recommend calling them if you ever need a plumber. And yes, he stuck to his quote. Rafael is a man of his word.
