We talked about it and Frank went to work. He completed work on both doors (due to the age of them and springs) and within no time, doors were working great again! Frank was outstanding! Very personable individual, knowledgeable, professional and down to earth. I couldn't have asked for more. Once again, Sun City quickly takes care of a problem without costing an arm and leg and does it quickly. They once again sent a technician who was simply amazing. Huge thanks Sun City and Frank for solving this issue for me. I highly recommend them if you need any work on your garage doors.

I called this company after my garage door remote was stolen from my car along with my car…read moreregistration. I raced home and de-programmed the remotes so the stolen one would no longer work. I tried to re-program the others, but they would not re-program. Sun City Garage Doors sent a tech named Jaron out to my house. A young guy. He walked into the garage and immediately told me I needed to pay $179 to add a brace onto the garage door, or he wouldn't re-program the remotes. He saw my distress at the theft of the opener, and immediately tried to use it to upsell me. He was arrogant, condescending and rude. I threw him out of my garage. I then called another company (I won't mention their names here because I'm not promoting anything, just reviewing these guys), and the owner asked me to face time him. He then walked me through unplugging, resetting and reprogramming all of the remotes. It took about 20 minutes. When I offered to Zelle him money for the service, he declined. So I wrote him a great review. Conversely, these guys got the review they deserved. I will never use Sun City Garage Doors and I would never recommend them to anyone else. The other guy earned my business and I'll be with him forever. Post script: the garbage rely made me laugh. Like I'm going to go out of my way to call them to talk to them. I sent a project request to them. While 6-7 other companies responded as well I had them come over due to the still positive reviews. Arrived on the day I wanted and at the time I was available. LUIS was my tech and boy did I hit the jackpot with him. He showed me that the springs were indeed failing. I went with the heavy duty springs with like I forgot how many cycles more than regular springs. He installed them quick. He tightened the chain good and lubed everything up. Door doesn't make horrible noises anymore. Really smooth with those HD springs on. Thank you Open Sesame for being a great service provider in Vegas.

Low lights included Mike stapling his business card to wall inside garage when I wasn't looking! I told him that wasn't cool and he responded he did it because previous customers said his stickers were too hard to remove! Seriously!?! Like what the actual freak? Additional things that were very disappointing included; 1) Failure to to let me know new opener was incompatible with existing keypad. Of course AFTER it was installed and they didn't have newer keypad and couldn't get for 2 weeks! They should've known and informed me that the new motor wouldn't work with existing keypad before installation. Damage to property: Using a staple gun to attach business card to our recently painted wall is unacceptable property damage. That alone is enough to never let this clown near my property ever again! Poor quality installation: I found compatible keypad on Amazon, that Mike offered to install, but he mounted it backwards and used the wrong screws, was carelessness and showed a lack of attention to detail and preparation. Additionally the camera on motor was not set-up correctly and their excuse was it was new system they weren't familiar with. Then why didn't you learn about BEFORE installing at my home. Lack of preparation: their excuse about the motor being "new" doesn't take away their responsibility to learn the product's basic functionalities (like keypad compatibility and camera) before selling and installing. I've spent hours researching and ordering the necessary key pad and correctly installing the mount myself I would NOT have agreed to a new garage door opener that requires a key pad that needs to be charged every few months or an additional adapter. tl/dr lack of preparation, unfamiliar with product they installed, poor quality installation, & no respect for my home. Summary, would definitely not use again.

We contacted Leo via Yelp, and received a response a short time later. Shortly afterwards, Leo came out to our home. He assessed the work, took some pictures and said his specialist can do the job, no problem. That should have been our first warning that Leo himself was not doing the work/repair and did not bring his specialist along for the initial review. He said, I'm an engineer and don't do that sort of work, but no problem he can do it, he'll make it look good, he's a specialist! We talked about how important it was to have our garage cabinets, tools, area where we have shoes and some outdoor furniture stored in the garage covered with plastic and that our newly done epoxy floor would need to be covered from the debris and dust. Leo said that they usually only cover the floor where the work would be done, his reply was it's a garage. We stressed in our conversation and also outlined in our response via text that it was important that it's covered if we hired him for the job. He agreed that it would be done. Later that evening he sent a message with the quote but did not send a contract or scope of work with his quote detailing the work (that should have been another red flag). So I responded with a message that specifically outlined our expectations of the job and what was to be done. He replied, yes everything outlined would be done. He then messaged me that his specialist would be at our home that following Thursday, which we agreed. Wednesday came around and Leo messaged us that his specialist was at another job previously and that he was doing such a great job, the client asked him to stay another day to do more work. He asked if he can come to us on Monday, we said no problem. He said he'd be there in the am on Monday, but would message us with the time frame on Sunday. Sunday came and Leo texted us indicating Simon will arrive around noon, ok no problem. Monday came and Simon showed up at 1pm, he brought his ladder, a drop cloth and only covered the door leading from the garage to our kitchen with plastic, and covered nothing else that we spoke of. After putting that up, Simon told my husband he needed to get some supplies and would be back in 20 minutes. Like what, why did he not come prepared in the first place. The job was straight forward, remove old tape, replace tape, add dry wall/mud, texture and paint (which we supplied the paint). Anyway, Simon left and came back an hour later, not 20 minutes. After returning he worked another 20 minutes and knocked on our door telling us he needed more supplies and would be back in 20 minutes????? He left and came back 20 minutes later. By now it's 3pm, he finished up around 6pm. When we went out to look at the work, it was a mess! He put drywall mud over the tape and used a textured paint roller to texture the areas that were done. We asked why he did not allow for the mud to dry then sand and texture and paint when it was all the way dried? He looked at us perplexed, and said texture spray is expensive and that his textured roller brush gave it a sprayed look. We said that, this is not what we agreed to and that 2 cans of texture spray would have covered it and cost around $20. He literally put tape, drywall mud and painted without allowing properly drying in between each process. The areas he did are noticeable. See photo. I then asked where was all the plastic to cover the areas we discussed with Leo, he could not answer. He spoke very little English so communication was difficult and very frustrating. We advised him he needs to clean up as everything was covered in drywall dust. He ran a shop vacuum for a few minutes and wiped a few areas down and left. Everything was covered in white dust, Everything! I tried to call Leo, but he did not take my call. So I texted him saying that Simon did not do what we discussed. In addition the work done looks worse than it did when the ceiling was cracking. The areas are lumpy and it's an eyesore. Leo finally responded that he and Simon agreed to do it the way he did it as it was more cost effective for them. Leo or Simon at no time never contacted us to change any part of what was agreed. He decided to cut corners without advising us otherwise. His word were they made the decision as it was just a garage. We understand that it would not look 100% the same, but he didn't even try to make it look even half way better. He said what can we do to make it right? To be honest, we just wanted he and his specialist gone. They literally fked up our ceiling and now we'll have to pay someone to fix it. We would not let him touch anything around our home with a 10ft pole. Shame on you Leo for taking our money and leaving us with shoddy work! I would think twice before hiring Leo's Handyman Services ! If we could give zero stars we would!

Tyson was able to come out within an hour and quickly replaced the door springs. Not only did he handle the repair efficiently, but he also went above and beyond by programming my vehicle and keypad, servicing my second garage, and even offering to help set up MyQ. As requested I sent photos of the lift and bolt and noted the technician didn't put the clip/pin on the other side to hold arm/lever in place and the end result the door began disengaged and dropped. Esmeralda was unprofessional and told me if I want to pay $200.00 she can send a technician tomorrow, July 18, 2026 or wait until Monday, July 20, 2026 when they do warranty work. I even sent her the Warning Sticker on the door not to tamper with the door so I didn't touch the door and my vehicles remained in the garage and I didn't have any transportation. She didn't care and said I would have to pay $200.00 for the call tomorrow, July 18, 2026. I called Choice Home Warranty and they told me to call Southwest Doors and Gates because it was a warranty issue. I finally gave up on Southwest Doors and Gates / Choice Home Warranty and called an independent company. Thank goodness Open Sesame Garage Doors owner was sympathetic and arranged for a technician early AM on July 18, 2026. The technician identified the issue about the incorrect installation as well as other problems with the install. Originally when I spoke with Open Sesame Garage Doors owner and said that different Independent (Not Southwest Door & Gates) company was going to charge $65.00 he said he would honor it but I told him I was good with the $85.00 since he was sympathetic and would have someone on July 18, 2026 to resolve the issue. Also, I was going to sell my house but decided to stay, I asked Open Sesame Garage Doors to give a quote on both a single and double new garage doors. If decide to sell later, I will feel comfortable that the new owner will have quality doors and great company like Open Sesame Garage Doors.
