Horrible service ,after one week waiting for mokhtar to come and fix my unit because he was complaining about going to the roof or working weekends ( which he wants to be with his family )he came one week later . he came twice to fix the unit , first time after one week he took all freon out and blow a smoke to our apartment and the Ac stop cooling the whole apartment smelled very bad, before he touch the unit, we had air after the mess he did the unit went up to 79 degree no cool air , he convince me after several hours the system will work and he made me to pay him on $1800 and one $165 . I am very disappointed with the services received. I have left a very good review upon my first need for AHA. Since then I have had two instances where I have needed them. Most recently was a refrigerator repair. The repair man (moe) arrived same day to diagnose the problem. So far so good. said he would be there the next day to repair (Monday) and left me hanging the entire day and I had insured that I worked from home so that I could be there for the replacement of the fridge filter. I called at 4:30, and he said he was just ordering the part. At the time (Sunday) he told me he was going to keep the cap for the filter until he got the part in place. Two days later we arrange for a time for him to be there he shows up an hour and a half late (with a 3-hour window - so said he'd be there between 4 and 7 and was there at 8:30 pm. and he was wet from head to toe. Replaces my part in 15 minutes and asked me where the cap is. I specifically remember him telling me he was taking the cap so he knew where it would be. $285.00 later with no cap and I purchased the filter myself for $50. And work is almost done @ $335.00. He talked down to me as a woman homeowner and insisted he left the cap with me and when I found it to tell him. I call 3 days later and asked when he would have the cap so I could plan to meet him. He was rude and said no matter how many times you ask for the cap I will still have the same answer I will have it when I have it. First time I asked for it after I paid him. $5 part. PLEASE STAY AWAY. We have been dealing with them for the past 3 months to fix our washer. They have so far replaced multiple parts (mother board, motor, sensor, etc) and our washer is still not functioning with no improvements. They charged my home warranty company for all those parts and labor and I am still left with a washer that is not functioning. They will lie to you about "we have ordered the parts, it is on its way" but when I call back in a week, nothing has been done -- that my warranty company has to order it themselves and have them ship to them.. Once the tracking information shows that the parts have been delivered, they say "We never got it."and pocket the parts and have my warranty company order it again. To top it off, their technicians' personal hygiene is AWFUL. They will stink up your entire house every time they come visit you. To save your sanity and money, PLEASE I BEG YOU TO STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THEM. read more

TLDR: Avoid this company. They either hire lying, condescending technicians or train them to be lying and condescending. Our landlord called AHA to deal with an issue with our refrigerator both a year ago and this past moth. About a year ago, the contents of the deli drawer froze solid and the body of the refrigerator got very warm. After having us unplug the refrigerator (and therefore the still working freezer) for a day to defrost the fridge, they replaced the evaporative cooling fan, which seemed to fix the issue. This month, the issue reoccurred. The same technician came out on a Tuesday and basically said, "Yep, that's a fridge and it's broken. I need to order parts. I'll be back tomorrow or Thursday", and left after 5 minutes. Radio silence until we called Thursday night. He showed back up on Friday, hours after he told my wife he would be here. My wife was told that the control board was bad, and the tech would just get a new fridge, if it was him. He did nothing to the fridge, other than measure the temperature and note that it had seemingly fixed itself and was okay now. After that, I bought a digital, wireless thermometer that records high and low temps for the last 24 hours to monitor the fridge while we awaited the new part or our landlord to purchase a new fridge. We noticed the fridge reached the mid 50s 2-3 times per day for about half an hour at a time, then cooled back down. Semi-functional, but definitely not working right. When I contacted my landlord after a week of radio silence, I was told that the technician informed him there was no issue and the fridge was fixed. When I called, the technician told me that he never told my wife that there was a problem with the control board, that he never advised replacing the fridge, and that my wife was at fault for not calling back to tell him it was still an issue. I also discovered, per the manufacturers website, that our fridge model has a known issue with the control board where it tends to fail after 5 years and exhibit the exact issues we were having. The technician came back out and spent 5 minutes arguing with me that all fridges regularly get to 50+ degrees and the fact that, at that moment it was an okay temperature meant that there was no issue. When I pointed out that our thermometer said the fridge got to almost 80 degrees the night before, he claimed the thermometer was broken and could not be trusted. He ultimately agreed that he would contact our landlord for permission to order a new control board and evaporative cooling fan. I asked the tech to tell me when he had that conversation, and he refused. My landlord contacted me today and informed me that the tech told him everything was fixed and there is no problem and if I have further issues, I should contact the manufacturer. I'm done. AHA's tech was condescending, did not listen to my wife or I, at one point claimed to be coming to fix the dishwasher, and apparently seems to think that a June day is a fine temperature for milk for my child. I had been using this service and was happy with it. Then a couple years ago I called them for a service repair. The technician came in and was great and didn't even charge me for the quick easy repair. Actually he didn't even repair it so much as show me the problem and I took care of it. Then a few days later I saw that they had not only charged me $75, someone had fraudulently signed the invoice as though I had approved the charge. They didn't reply to my call and luckily the credit card company removed the charge once I pointed out that the signature on the receipt didn't match any of the hundreds of other signed receipts they had for me. All Home Appliances made an appt through my Home Owners Appliance Warranty company on Jan 16 to deliver and install the gasket today, Jan 18. Beware of this company. If your issue needs parts or follow up. This company was referred to me by my home warranty company. This company came to my home on a Friday and without testing or troubleshooting the gentlemen advised me that my refrigerator needed a new control board and sensor. Before departing on that Friday the technician advised me that the part would be ordered No Later Than Monday. I never received a call letting me know if the part was ordered or when i should expecte arrival or potential for when the repairs would be completed. I followed up with the company on Tuesday afternoon. The person on the phone advised me that it may arrive by Thursday or Friday (as it was a special order) I never received a call. This being the case I followed up with the company on Thursday evening. I was advised that it should be here tomorrow and they would follow up with me on Friday. In Friday I never received a call from the company. I contacted them and they advised me that the part should be in and they would call me back. On Tuesady, I followed up with the company who again advised me that the part should be in and they would call me back. Never received that call either. I guess you can see the trend here. Either the people running the office are overwhelmed with work that they lose track of what tasks they're going to follow up with (which shows to lack of organization) or they blatantly mislead the customer (me)! To top this off this company contacted my warranty company to let them know they were tired of getting calls from the customer (me) and that they wanted the insurance company to deal directly with me. Understand, I never was rude or spoke to anyone negatively. Was I happy with them, no! That was due to lack of honest communication and follow up on their part! I called another company who came out the same day(the Wed after they called the ins company) who repaired the refrigerator the same day. Just bought a house in June and some of the appliances that came with the house needed some service. I heard about AHA through a friend and decided to give them a try. They sent out Mo the next day and came on time. They diagnosed the problems with my fridge and oven and promptly began working on them. While they were working I loaded up my dishwasher and mid way through the cycle he had me turn it off because the dishwasher also had a slight issue. He explained the issue and fixed it at no cost!! Called them for Oven issue. I got this same problem fixed 2 years ago purchasing the part online for ($23 + $70 for install). Tech (Mo) shows up gives me an estimate for $255. I ask Parts and Labor breakdown. He rudely tells me I am a cheapskate and that the quote is by JOB. What kind of answer is that !!! . That is beyond rude. Its a simple business question but the answer is too personal as if I have hurt him personally. So you charge me 150% markup, tell me I am a cheapskate in my own house. I met Mo a couple of years back through a warranty service call for an AC issue I had. I was told by the first company the unit was gone and I had to replace it for $4500. They sent Mo for a second opinion and he solved my leak for less than $200. It was then I knew his company was trustworthy and honest and Mo operates with integrity. I own several rental properties and he's my go-to HVAC and appliance technician. I've had other furnace and water heater issues and Mo finds the true cause of the problem even if it takes a long time and several visits. He has saved me alot of money over the past 2 years with his honesty and I know he has the customer's best interest at heart. Our washing machine broke down and I called AHA and set up an appointment with Mo for the following day. Mo showed up on time, started the machine and pretty much told us the problem just by listening to the machine. From the way he went about it, it was very obvious that he had a lot of experience fixing appliances. He also gave us a good price. He had all the parts in his truck and we were done in little over an hour. He even diagnosed another problem with the machine that we weren't even aware of and fixed that at no extra charge. What I also liked about Mo was that he made no effort to up-sell or offer some sort of contract or push some appliance brand or the other. He also gave us very good advise about the future of our washer and whether we should replace it (We shouldn't. They don't make 'em like that anymore). He gave us some useful tips on how to extend the life of the washer as well as reasons why washers fail. He We also have a very noisy fridge and there again he diagnosed the problem but advised us to to through our extended warranty rather than use his services in order to not void the warranty contract. I thought that was rather ethical and he clearly wasn't looking to make a quick buck. Overall, I found Mo to be polite, courteous, experienced and someone can trust for advise on my appliances. The home warranty company was going to pay them to do the repair work, and AHA kept telling us that the parts were on order. We called 3 times over 11 days, and they kept telling us that the parts were on order. Finally, after scheduling them to come out, they told us the day of the appointment (so missed work to stay home) that we were too far way from them, and they never intended to do the work. Thoroughly disgusted with this company! My home warranty company dispatched them to look at my fridge. They came and and said there was nothing wrong with it-- that it is merely cycling between cooling and defrost. I assured him I thought he was wrong, he persisted that I was messing around with the temp and he left, having done nothing. Fast forward a couple of weeks...I come home from 3 days of work travel to find my fridge 52 degrees, meat in freezer thawed and everything in fridge spoiled. Around 12, I called the guy and he said he wasn't coming and there was nothing wrong with my fridge. Why then, did he accept the work order? Why did he not call? Amazing company!! We were able to get an appointment the day after we called the office. Mo quickly showed himself to be considerate and prompt, even before we met him, when he called to confirm that he was on his way. We've had a dishwasher that has been the bane of my existence for the past two years. It wasn't cleaning properly; in fact, the dishes were downright dirty all the time, it was gross. I kept thinking that perhaps I was using the wrong detergent, perhaps a mechanical fault and kept delaying getting help. Finally, I called our home insurance and they highly recommended Mo's company. He came the next day, and it turned out that we had years of gunk, broken crockery, plastic pieces and yuck all griming up the internal mechanism. How should I know that the dishwasher needs to be cleaned and serviced yearly?! Mo was awesome, he immediately picked up on the cause of all the problems we had called him for. Turns out, he's an HVAC guy, too! Our heaters hadn't worked for the past week and we were freezing. Minutes after setting his eye on the heaters, he told us what the problem was and fixed it!! I mean, downright stupendous work. Now we're all warm and toasty in our house and we have clean dishes again, yay! Call Mo, you'll be happy you did! Dishonest, shoddy service. If I could rate zero stars I would. We had a problem with our fridge and our home warranty sent out All Home Appliances. We had to jump through hoops for a few days just to set up an appointment, with them continually saying they'll call us back but never did. Finally a technician came out, said that we needed a new control board and the coils needed cleaning. The control board is covered by the warranty's deductible, but the cleaning will be another $95. Sure, sounds fine. So for $95 the technician runs a toothbrush over the coils for 2 minutes and uses my own vacuum to suck up the dust. He then disconnects the control board, puts a new one on (or so I think) and leaves. Now several hours later and the fridge is even warmer than before he came. We call the company back and they say it must have been the wrong part, they'll get a new one and be back out tomorrow. The next day comes and we hear nothing. We finally call them, we're told someone will call us. Again, nothing. I had to go to work so my wife finally got them on the phone simply asking what the deal was and when we could expect someone. The person on the phone was exceptionally rude to her basically saying that since it was Friday afternoon the part shops were all closed now and there's nothing they can do. Mind you, we called them back Thursday night to tell them the repair not only didn't work but made things worse. So at this point we decided we didn't want to deal with this stupid runaround and awful customer service so we contacted our home warranty people and they sent out a new company (Appliance Geek). The technician from Appliance Geek came to the conclusion rather quickly that the control board in the fridge was the original one and had never been replaced. He pointed out to me the part that had failed and how he could tell. He said the guy from All Home Appliance probably assumed it only needed to be cleaned (which Appliance Geek does for free, by the way), but if he just charged us the $95 to clean it he wouldn't have also gotten our $100 home warranty deductible. So he faked changing the control board and charged us double. His reasoning was that 1) Our control board was a very rare part and there's no way they would have had it readily available on the truck, 2) If he had changed it, there's no way it would have gone bad again so quickly, 3) The All Home Appliance technician wrote down no part numbers on the work order and didn't leave behind the old control board. 4) The fridge was still as warm if not warmer than before All Home Appliance serviced it. The Appliance Geek technician said he could get the part in a day or two but would have to report his findings to our home warranty as he'd be billing them for the same part twice. I called our home warranty as well to report the attempted scam from All Home Appliance and to tell them to please never use them again in this area. I'll also be following up with the Better Business Bureau. EDIT: In response to your reply - I don't take issue with your charging to clean the unit. I understand that service is not covered by our home warranty. You are well within your right as a business to charge whatever you want, I'm simply alerting people that what you charge $95 for, others like Appliance Geek do for free. Secondly, if the part was replaced then why did the problem persist? Why when we called back, did you immediately say it must have been the incorrect part. Is it not quite simple to determine the correct part based on the model number of the refrigerator (which I forgot to mention but the technician had written down incorrectly on the work order). Finally, if you stock such a wide variety of parts then why were we told you didn't have the correct part all of the sudden and there was nothing you could do? Thank you for the prompt response but it does nothing to address my concerns. I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt but there is too much evidence that points in the other direction. First, they forgot to come and so we wasted vacation time to wait for him for nothing. Then, when he came, he asked us for one of our towels to use for his work. Thought that was weird, but we gave him one which he really got dirty. He had to come a second time to install parts. Again he asked for a towel, but this time I refused, asking him why he didn't come prepared with his own supplies. He said it was to prevent spreading roaches from one house to another. I asked him why he didn't just come prepared with a fresh towel for each home. And so he agreed to go get his own towel. He never came back. Several hours later I spoke to his manager, Hadeed, who told me this technician has worked for him for about 30 years. When I asked Hadeed if he believed it was professional for his employee to leave a job saying he would be right back, but with no intention of coming back or informing the customer of that fact, Hadeed said maybe sometimes it was. So the lack of professionalism at this company goes all the way up to management. Save yourselves time and towels and find a proper, professional company. With customer service like this, I can only hope they will just go out of business. read more
