Needed them in a bit of a rush again today - a week after the above move. I had to consolidate two storage areas down to one and could not find a place to rent a U-Haul truck and hire a few day workers to do the load and unload. The first place I called did not have the right size truck, second place did have a 15' truck for 12:30 PM, but I was not sure I would be able to round up the workers at that time and finish by the end of the day. I was also not sure if that size truck would hold all my book cartons either. So, I called All In Moving this morning at around 10:45 AM (at the last minute - on a Sunday!) and by 11:30 AM or so, Michael had arranged a two-person team and had them meet me at the first storage area at 2 PM in the afternoon. As I recall, this time it was Eugene and Vasily (hope I got the names right). They loaded the 80+ cartons (heavy with books mostly) on their truck, drove to the second storage area, and unloaded - again without taking any breaks. The total time took about 30 minutes less than their minimum charge of 3 hours, so it ended up costing more than renting a U-Haul, etc. But, it was well worth it, as far as I am concerned! I did not have to run around trying to find a truck, find and negotiate with the day workers, drive everybody around, etc. Again, overall, I would recommend All In Moving System highly. read more

I booked All in Moving Systems for a local move and had a great experience. No complaints! There was a bunch of communication prior to the move as well as on the day of. Their pricing is very competitive. They disassembled, moved and reassembled all my items quickly and carefully. I moved most of the smaller items myself and left the big ones to the moving crew (ie. bed, dining set, tv). There were a couple items that I was concerned would be a problem to get out the door and down the stairs but they managed it effortlessly. My only gripe was that a small mirror was forgotten on the truck and I did not notice until later in the day. The crew was long gone, but they handled it great and compensated for the forgotten piece. All in all, they made the moving process very smooth and stress-free. Please be careful with manipulating labor hours calculation. Be sure check all the time and have something to prove what time they come and go. They use GPS system and take advantage of it. Maybe park around. Walk to take a rest or have snack before they come or during driving. Not sure how they do exactly. When I complained later about the time, GPS showed quiet different time than the time they actually showed. - The team came at 8:10am. In the contract, they put 8:00 am. I signed the contract without seeing the start hour because they didn't mention the time. I overlooked and signed. - My moving distance driving time is 15 min. They took 35 mins. I asked them how they have lunch before they left for destination. They said they usually go seven eleven or something. I thought they stop by seven eleven so they took 35 min. It was perfectly ok unless they dont charge me lunch time. All in all, they charge me 5.5 hours. When I paid, I was too haptic to think about it thoroughly. I paid them and I even tipped them $120. Later I noticed 5.5 hours doesn't make sense because it started at 8:10 and ended at 1:10 including 20 mins of lunch time. Hours should be 4 hours and 55 mins including 30 min driving double time. I paid 35 mins more. It might not be a big deal. However, I explained what happened to customer service all they were saying was GPS showing time and asked me to prove what I am saying. they don't believe what I am saying. That is more big deal to me. I was very unpleasant they thought I was lying. Again. Be sure checking when they come and go. Below is my comment on their excuse. 1) At 8:02 AM the truck with the crew arrived at your location and the driver called you 30-40 minutes before that time notifying you about the arrival. Start time on the contract is 8:00 AM - They called me at 8:03(I have a phone record) right before they arrived to ask me to open the door. I thought starting time is when they came in my house or when I signed contract. If you are saying starting time is when GPS tell s truck comes near my house, 8:03 is the right time. I think it is a bit weird starting time counts in that way. I think you should let customer know this is how it is calculating first. 2) Drive time from point A to point B was 15 min, but the driver stopped at 7/11 down the street from your house and it took 5-10 minutes more, got the drinks and we added 30 minutes according to Double the Drive Time Law in California, no mistakes here. Please note, May 29th was a very HOT day and guys were out of drinks. - I know what double time is. I never complained about double time. I said they took 20 min of rest and those 20 min including total charge. 3) The total time of your move on the contract is 5.5 hours, and that is exactly what you were charged for, not a penny more. They worked 5.5 hours straight, without any breaks for rest or launch. - Again total hours should be 30 min double time + 4 hour 25 min or 32 min if starting time is when they called me right before they arrived my community. 4) The estimated quote was $1,031.25 and we completed it for $965.50 - I packed more around 20 boxes by myself before the moving date. read more

Aside from the monetary loss, this incident is particularly painful because the movers were told not to move the bike. Had they not insisted that they move the bike, and repeatedly assured that everything would have been fine this would not have happened. Had we also fully understood that they have little to no liability in the matter at ($0.60/lb) we would have never let them move any of our valuable items. They spent 4 hours to pack and then 2.5 hours to unpack for my 2 bedroom town home. While the movers were on time and did a great job in communication and wrapping my furniture, the move itself simply took too long. From CA to CO it took 21 days for my furniture to arrive. In contrast, a friend of mine who happened to be moving from the same area in CA to MI in the same week, where the distance is twice as long, only waited 17 days for his furniture to arrive with a different moving company. Was very nervous picking the right movers based on yelp reviews, but I am VERY pleased All In Moving Systems had great, real reviews. Firstly they were very fairly priced, plus I got the nice yelp coupon which helped bring down the cost.
