    BBB report on AIO
    Stephen K.

Update: AIO changed their operating entity name to New Jersey Transport Inc. Quoted $11k for move from NY to CA by Trinity Van Lines. We were never advised that the work would be brokered but found out quickly when All in One Movers showed up one day late adding 4K to a separate bill and forcing us to sign a separate contract direct with them despite our contract already signed with TVL. They would not start work until we signed and claimed that the broker under estimated our space needs. I called both companies to complain but got nowhere. They seemed to relish the opportunity to take advantage of the situation. At one point Adriana even made a snide remark about how they "appreciate our military service and already gave us a generous discount." Ultimately we were coerced into signing an agreement by the foreman requesting delivery asap in CA even though we explained we did yet have a closing date for our new home and would require storage. We had a target date of 2/18 but he said it could take another 3 weeks after that unless we indicated that we wanted delivery asap. He reassured that we would have the storage option with TVL so it would not make a difference other than prioritizing the shipment. (They took our goods to NJ to transfer to a larger truck). Had to leave behind alot of what we planned to take because on top of that the truck was too small. Also appeared that the workers may not have been properly documented. None of them spoke English well so we had to deal directly with the foreman. I attempted to get resolution from Eric at TVL several times but he went radio silent. Can't get a call back or answer to emails. 2/22 AIO called to say they are delivering 2/23 but we aren't in the house yet because seller is renting for 21 days in order to move out. Our contract with TVL provides 30 days of free storage and redelivery but I cannot get the broker (Eric) to confirm location for shipper so we had to arrange our own storage and eventually another move out of pocket despite having paid for storage. AIO claims not to be able to work it out with the broker and cites the contract we were coerced into signing on the day of our move under duress. (Our closing on our NY home was set for the following day and we had to move out and get the goods on the road to CA). Access to our contract docs on TVL has been revoked so we cannot see the SOW or contract but do have a hard copy which was stamped as electronically signed. Customer service rep named Rob at TVL tried to claim that our signing of the AIO agreement superseded our agreement with them and they are no longer obligated to secure storage at our destination. More disturbing is that we are being forced to pay cash to get access to our goods or they won't offload based on the contract we were forced to sign with AIO. When we called to try to resolve, AIO gave us 10 minutes at 6 am to find a storage site threatening to send our goods back to NJ and charge us all over again at a later date for a new move. Thank God we were able to get the storage secured however they are saying we will have to pay more money to have our items offloaded and "shuttled" due to the trailer being too large to complete a delivery. It is one cash exploitation after another using our home goods as a hostage. We have already paid $17k. Rob laughed at one point as he gleefully informed me that our move should have cost $30k. There are several BBB complaints on both of these companies with almost exactly the same situation being described. I spoke with a rep from the NJ Dept of consumer Protection and they advised that Thier DOT license is not current valid and they should not be operating at all much less across state lines which makes this a Federal matter. These two companies seem to work together to defraud customers as it would appear. I hope this complaint can help prevent these ruthless greedy extortionists from exploiting other families in their most vulnerable time. Please protect yourself from these scamming con artists. Submitted official notice of fraud complaints with Federal Trade Commission on both companies along with the BBB, the FMCSA with intent to pursue filing official complaints with the State Attorney Generals offices of NJ/NY/FLA & CA respectively . It is my sincere hope that these companies get shut down. No one should have to be subjected to these dishonorable frauds. Can't tell you how many people we spoke with at both companies who seemed to have no issue with exploiting or defrauding customers. They genuinely seemed to enjoy the conflict. Hope the VA will keep them red flagged on their do not hire lists as well. The American public deserves better, but I find it particularly egregious to defraud 2 veterans after offering a special "discount" in appreciation for our combined 20 years of service.

These guys were a complete nightmare. They held my stuff at their facility for months and refused to release it to me so I could drive it myself. It took 3 months for them to complete the delivery. They claimed to have trucks going to Florida every week, but that was not the case. My family as forced to live on air mattresses and in hotels for several weeks. Stay away from them.

    Sheila Z.

I never really take the time to leave negative reviews but I seriously want everyone to steer clear from this company. The people who picked up my stuff did great, they were super nice, put everything perfectly in the truck, and did not complain one bit about me living in the second floor... But They wrecked my stuff, lost items, and one of the drivers was so ridiculously rude, he said he would not deliver my belongings because he was skipping my drop off and was back on his way to New Jersey because he was tired so I would have to wait till the next time they deliver in my area ( I was in North Carolina). Took so long to get that situated, I heard Pam from dispatch scream at him over the phone (she told me to wait and called him from her cell and i heard the whole convo). I had to wait till the next morning, missed two days of work at this point, just to get my things. Once here thats when it really went worse... you see, All In One picks up your belongings from your house, makes it look all nice in the truck, then they took it to their warehouse to put it in a bigger truck. The truck does not have compartments, it is all together with other people's things. (the transfer made them wreck my stuff and loose boxes), and then they deliver your stuff at the same time as they deliver other people's so it can get mingled. In the move, I lost 3 giant boxes of clothes (comprised of all my summer clothes, and lucky for me i moved right before summer and had to purchase new summer clothes. They destroyed a bookshelf so badly, they took it themselves to throw it out. They also damaged my headboard so it cannot be attached to the bed frame any more. All of this to say: AVOID them at ALL costs!!!

Seriously.. what was the point? To spend my money on tape
    Nikki C.

At $3800 for 2 medium sized moving trucks, the "manager" of the team had the balls to point out that they get a 10-20% tip because "we dont get paid from the $3800" .....thats YOUR problem sweetheart... dont work for a greedy ass...i WAS NOT handing over a tip out of $600/700 for the workers... take your 200 and go get lunch and then some.... biggest rip off ever..... wish i could leave zero stars

I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care. Will recommend them to anybody in my network who needs moving services.

He accused me of sexually assaulting one of the onsite movers. And if that lie wasn't bad enough he accused one of my minor daughters with performing oral sex on an entire baseball team. Now I have 2 daughters so I have no idea if he's referring to my middle school child or my elementary school child. WHAT A DESPICABLE MAN!!!! He then offered me $350 to take down the reviews I put up. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I'd be willing to show anyone who's interested the pictures of the harassing emails he sent my family. These guys are swindlers!!!! James came to my house and quoted me a $3483 for 2 trucks, 5 men, and 12 hours. On move day they sent one truck. Lied to me and my husband telling us that the other truck they planned to send had engine trouble, but the worker put the owner on speaker phone and I listened to him say that he sent the 2nd truck to another job and they'd try to get the truck over to my house once it was done. Of course that never happened. They ended up packing up 90% b/c that's all that could fit, which is why I was quoted for 2 trucks. They make the 1st trip to the new house, and told me and my husband that we need to pay them $2000 in cash otherwise they will not be unloading us. Its like 5pm on a Saturday, where in the world are we going to get that kind of cash. Prior to the move we provided our CC for the deposit, reservation, and expected to use that for the balance. But they said they couldn't take CCs over the weekend. I offered to come to their location at that moment to pay with CC and they insisted on cash. The owner told us to call our bank and ask them to give us a temporary increase so we could take the cash out. We took enough cash out to cover what was quoted, b/c the owner also said that since they didn't send the 2nd truck they'd discount us and that we wouldn't pay one penny over what we were quoted...LIES!!!! They took our $2000 and never finished the drop. They left the remaining items at the old house and then of course stop answering the phone until my husband threaten legal action. Then the owner called us back and cursed us out. Told us he was from the Bronx, and we were DC Slicksters and we didn't have the money to pay for the job. He told us that if we think that he's doing this job for a discount (he offered a discount) that we were smoking crack like our president Barack Obama. He told my husband that I had a big mouth and he needed to put a sock in it. He was by far the nastiest person I'd ever dealt with. And James, the guy who provided the quote...NEVER answered our calls. But thankfully not all of his employees are crooks, because his worker Dylan, the one he spoke so highly of told the truth after he coerced him into telling a lie and taking the fall for the awful way the move turned out. He forced his employee to lie and say that he decided not to finish the move as if the company owner isn't the one that told him not to finish the move. Well the one honest thing that the owner said was that Dylan was a honest guy b/c I talked to Dylan after my long conversation with the owner, and after the 3-way call between Dylan and the owner and Dylan told the truth. Thanks Dylan!!! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

(tldr: lack of communication, damaged boxes and furniture upon arrival, poor quality of service) In the beginning, Jeff was very attentive and made us feel like "Yes! This is the quality of service we're looking for in a company!" and the quoted price was great. He told us everything we needed to know about our move and we were excited to move forward. (Disclaimer: Low price is because they have other moves on the same truck as yours. We figured it wouldn't be a problem... it was.) But once we had our stuff loaded on to the truck, that's when it went all downhill. First things first, the pick-up movers told us how much we should be tipping them (they said they wanted 20%), which was extremely unprofessional. I don't mind if they had just mentioned that tips are appreciated, but to have the balls to flat out tell me you want 20%? Really? I didn't hear from Jeff for about a week after our initial pick-up, and when he did respond, all he could tell me was that our stuff was still waiting to be put onto the truck and our 6 day delivery window remained the same. He told me he would update with information when he had some. I asked him if it was possible to get a tighter delivery window once the truck was in transit and he informed me that once we got closer to the delivery window he'd have a better estimate of when our stuff should be arriving. (At this point, we were 9 days from the first day of our delivery window and 7 days since pick-up.) Another week goes by without any correspondence from Jeff. I'm starting to get a little anxious because it's 2 days from the first day of our delivery window and we have no idea where our stuff is. So I contact him again asking if he had an update. The first day of the delivery window is pushed back a day. Still very vague. I ask again if he could provided a tighter delivery window since we're working people and need to make arrangements to receive this move if it does come on a work day. He said he'll try his best. So now it's the first day of the delivery window! Hurray! But silence on Jeff's end. At this point, we figured he'd have some sort of idea where the truck is and have an idea of when the truck should be arriving to us. I email Jeff and no response. I get that it's a Saturday, but if client is paying thousands of dollars to use your services, just a quick acknowledgement would be appreciated. We get a call later that day from the driver saying he's in the area and will delivery the following day or the next, depending on the other deliveries. Okay, great! But why wasn't Jeff able to provide that information to us? The driver told us that they're not actually a part of Movage and they're hired to do jobs within Movage (which was one of the first questions I asked because I wanted to make sure that the move wasn't being contracted out to third parties), so the drivers themselves weren't even in touch with Movage at all. And then our stuff finally arrives... boxes were damaged, wet, opened, our couch was soaked on one side... I'll let the pictures do the talking. The response we get after we express our extreme disappointment is just a very textbook: "I apologize for any inconvenience. This is not the typical feed back we receive from our customers. I will help you as much as possible as I have tried to do from the first time we spoke. I will attach a claims form to this email. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience so we can start a claim process for you. Thank you." If you're looking to do a long distance move, go with Mayflower. We deeply regret not choosing to go with them in the first place.

It's not me, it's my stuff - none of my things like to be anywhere where food, livestock or various sundries have been first. I have ordered from U-line in the past, but their shipping is outrageous, almost as much as the whole order. I did a little Google search and found suppliesformoving.com. At the time of the order, I had no idea they were in Brooklyn. The site is clean and all the information is readily accessible. One can guarantee that this website did not cost a lot of money, but it works. One of the best things about this company is that they have pre-prepared packages of boxes, tape, etc. divided by room and/or rooms which makes it a little easier. They have boxes for junk, boxes for tvs, boxes for lamps - are you following me here? They have supplies for moving - tape, blankets, plastic wrap, paper. So I go online and make my order (FREE shipping by the way on everything!) and expect it to come in a couple days according to the site. After the confirmation of sale is where it gets good. 30 minutes pass and I get a call from the company saying they can deliver today, the same day, in the late afternoon. OK. One hour later I get another call that they can deliver right now. Yes please. Approximately three hours after I ordered many, many boxes, they arrived in perfect shape. Having no idea this company was in Brooklyn, I guess I should consider myself lucky. The customer service was fantastic and the boxes have been working just fine.
