"Repairman" (lol) told us we needed to use LG screws to connect and had us buy new ones. That's the "service" we received for $169.00. Still didn't work. Called new company. Guy immendately checked the power. Breaker was tripped. Andy's didn't even check the power. Guy laughed when I told him the story about the LG screws. Called Andy's multiple times and was told manager would call back. He never did. Apparently he is a spineless wimp who hides behind his employee's skirts. Stay away from these inept, unethical thieves masquerading as experts in the field.

The guy ran as soon as I paid and tipped him without hooking up our washing machine. (Also said they only took cash!!! Ding ding) So, my disabled husband had to go to the hardware store and buy the parts and hook it up. The dishwasher never ran. After a few days of believing it was user error, I called for a service appointment. I was told by Matt that he would mail me the part and then I could set up the appointment. So this seem to be totally ridiculous since they were booking the appointments one week out and I had to wait until the part got to me house to book an appointment?? Ding, Ding Ding!!! And btw what if I hadn't known To read the error code and look up what part it needed?! I'll never do that again! The day of appt I talk to service man. He says that he won't be able to make it to my house until 430 or five but I will be next to his last call. So around four-ish I take all the dogs outside and lock up the cats and I sit and wait. So needless to say I wasn't going to get a hold of anybody on the telephone Till late Saturday because, btw, if you don't know they are slammed on Saturday. I left a NOT nice message finally. And then later on I called back and got a hold of a woman who agreed that I should've been called if he couldn't make it to my appointment but then again I was questioning this too because I've never had a service man call and say they couldn't make it!! She scheduled me for Wednesday. And with their better tech. (Ha!) He calls and tells me he's overbooked in the afternoon and I remind him and tell him that I was left drifting out to sea on Friday and that I shouldn't have to put up with being ignored again. He proceeds to tell me the same as Matt that I will be one of his last calme at 7 o'clock he calls to tell me that he's not coming. Done. I HAVE TO RESCHEDULE!! NOT I WILL TRY TO MAKE YOU MY FIRST APPOINTMENT IN THE MORNING!! When I try to tell him that if anybody was not going to get serviced it should've been the people that didn't have a previous appointment canceled by them last week!! It makes me wonder if they canceled on them too!! He argued with me and then hung up on ME!! . I haven't had a dishwasher in a Month!! I haven't had to wash dishes for 20 years and now with a brand new dishwasher I am washing dishes !!! I just want my money back NOW!! But I knew nothing of central vacuums. The label on the old vac said "BEAM" so googling I go, and off I went to the Beam store. I walked in with 100 questions. To my absolute shock, they pulled up the original invoice, PAPER INVOICE, from a file cabinet that was completely legible with all of the info from my house's installation over 30 years ago. Wow. Talk about organized. Now, I can look at upgrades to my existing unit that STILL WORKS. The people here were extremely helpful and their units are beautiful. They answered all my questions and were so friendly. I got prices ($$$$) and immediately went home and started searching online. It appears that you can only purchase a Beam central vacuum from a dealer within 100 miles of your home, to eliminate online purchases or something. Booo. I was trying to avoid my ridiculous local sales tax rates. I'll be back to this location to get my vacuum, which can be either installed yourself or installed by them. You can walk in and walk out with a system, no ordering needed. And, they have brass wall outlets! Looking forward to my own space age vac!

So, they said it would take 2-5 days, but they got it done in 1 day! They had to replace a belt and do a lot of cleaning. All that for around $50 and now that ole' Kirby is good as new. Unfortunately, the motor was damaged. Gears were beyond repair. Andy explained the issue and gave me several options for buying a new vacuum. Wanting to support companies manufacturing products in the US, and having had a bad experience with the Shark I recently purchased, but not covered by warranty, I chose a Riccar. Best buying decision I've made in a while. Andy is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He listened to the features I was interested in having in the new vacuum. His years of experience are apparent. He knows his product line and carries a wide range of vacuums. AAA is easy to find on Lindbergh. It is centrally located. They carry a wide variety of accessories and Hepa bags. I even found a carpet cleaning product that got out a stain nothing else worked on! The Riccar is lightweight but mighty. The bag is easy to change without emitting dust. Andy told me professional cleaners use them and for good reason, they are top of the line carpet sweepers. Highly recommend AAA Vacuum!
