I was only charged a service call amount was a fair price. I learned, when booking the appointment, that the service call would come be subtracted from my total bill. I thought that fair. This is a small business, family owned and Joe is impressed with his company. I say, ignore the naysayers on this app and give this company a try.

In my experience, this company does not adequately stand behind its workmanship despite advertising a "100% guarantee." The original repair work on my ice machine was completed in mid-August at a cost exceeding $550. Within a short period of time, the unit began experiencing additional issues. In October, when the machine stopped working, I contacted the company and scheduled a service appointment. After performing troubleshooting on my own, I was able to temporarily resolve the issue and informed the company so they would not need to make a service call. At that time, I was specifically advised not to hesitate to contact them again if the problem returned. Now, in mid-May, the ice machine has once again begun intermittently malfunctioning. When I contacted the company regarding the recurring issue, I was informed that I would be required to pay an additional $100 service fee simply for them to inspect the appliance. Based on this experience, I do not believe the company's advertised guarantee reflects the level of post-repair support actually provided to customers. I was also disappointed in the manner in which the matter was handled by management.

Requested PACE service call (online) on Droste Road 6/3 (314) 708-6580; Nearly 12 days before response. 2. 6/15. Service call on 6/15 (no repair yet); It appeared that the "problem" was diagnosed without opening the back of the refrigerator (where the real problem existed: cracked condensation pan. But instead...a mechanical equipment Part was ordered 6/15. Quoted: $95 service call pd. $155 LABOR less $95 for labor to come plus part up to $200? Water turned off at wall. Never provided a written estimate or invoice after service; 3. 6/16 and 18. water on floor 6/16, 6/18 (even though water turned off at wall, and Ice maker not turned on). 9 days have passed since last service call. 4. 6/24. I Called 6/24; he will return call 6/25 with update. (claimed voice mail was left saying part was in; no voice mail received) 5. 6/29. PACE refrigerator repair: 3pm-5pm. 2 repairmen, one visibly upset with wife in hospital, a bit "short" with me when I asked questions. Got my repair confused with another and almost walked out thinking I was under warranty. I stopped him to make sure I paid for any outstanding balance. 6/29/26. Paid $270. Total pd $365. Expected $155-$95+200=$260 total?? NEED TO SEE ITEMIZED TOTAL. (never provided). 6. looking for PACE receipt via email on 6/29; sent email 6/30 for missing receipt. 7. Called PACE for mail of receipt; (to be mailed 7/7, expect by 7/10? (still not in mail as of 7/13.) 8. 7/8 leak still there; 9. return on 7/9 2-4pm; Condensation pan has cracks and hence leaking. Why was this not addressed on first call/repair as the real problem? Will advise (7/10 in am) on cost to replace or glue/tape!? Why am I going to be charged again for an incomplete repair that did not solve the problem and seems to be misdiagnosed? (I need to know if the original valve part replaced was actually the problem and did not need to be replaced?) 10. They claim to have a A 90 DAY PARTS/LABOR WARRANTY, At this point, I have been exceedingly patient. I expected a completed, lasting, and satisfactory repair, and did not receive it. 11. After waiting 29 days for a response, On 7/28, I filed complaint with BBB.org. I requested FULL REIMBURSEMENT for the amount paid: $365. 12. It is now 8/18/26. BBB says no response after a 14 day period allowed for the business to respond/resolve. It has been 40 days since the business last contacted me.

I tried to call him back, but his voice mail was full. I just called at 4:35pm to find out when he was coming and he said he wasn't going to be able to make it today since his wife works nights. I understand that things happen, but he made no attempt to communicate with me and now I am in a real bind. These are my points: 1. His voice mail box is full, so I couldn't leave a message to let him know it was OK to come earlier. He had to have seen my missed call, but didn't bother calling me again. 2. He didn't call me to say he wouldn't be able to make it, so now it's 4:45 and I will never be able to get someone by the time I leave town. 3. No apology for not being able to make it. 4. Offered to come tomorrow, but I am leaving town with a 15 month old and need to do his laundry before I go. 5. I said I would call the office and see if someone else could get there today and he said OK. I called and found out he outsourced a company to answer the phone, so me calling the "outsourced" office was a complete waste of my time. The outsourced office let me know he was the owner and only technician, so there was nothing they could do. Nice of him to waste more of my time, don't you think? Needless to say, I am not a happy person right now. If my review stopped here, I would only give 1 star. John called me back and said he tried to find a friend that was in the same business and available this evening, but didn't have any luck. He gave me some simple things to look for that may have fixed the problem. They didn't, but at least he tried and apologized for the inconvenience.
