Was referred by the home inspector and I'm glad I didn't check Yelp but just trusted him. My…read moreservice call was scheduled promptly. My only frustration was that they couldn't narrow the appointment window beyond 8 - 12. However, the day of, I was sent a text to let me know the technician was on his way and I could monitor his location! This is a game changer for service calls!!! Imagine not being tied to the house all morning! The technician was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He went above and beyond to show me what had happened and explain what needed to happen. The repair itself was simple, but having an experienced technician made a real difference. Cheap? No. But I suspect cheap is what got me here in the first place. Had All American Appliance done the install of the dishwasher in the first place, I don't think I'd be looking at thousands in restoration costs. Go with professionals and know that the work is being done correctly.

I would strongly encourage potential customers to consider a more reputable company before doing…read morebusiness here. In my experience, this company does not adequately stand behind its workmanship despite advertising a "100% guarantee." The original repair work on my ice machine was completed in mid-August at a cost exceeding $550. Within a short period of time, the unit began experiencing additional issues. In October, when the machine stopped working, I contacted the company and scheduled a service appointment. After performing troubleshooting on my own, I was able to temporarily resolve the issue and informed the company so they would not need to make a service call. At that time, I was specifically advised not to hesitate to contact them again if the problem returned. Now, in mid-May, the ice machine has once again begun intermittently malfunctioning. When I contacted the company regarding the recurring issue, I was informed that I would be required to pay an additional $100 service fee simply for them to inspect the appliance. Based on this experience, I do not believe the company's advertised guarantee reflects the level of post-repair support actually provided to customers. I was also disappointed in the manner in which the matter was handled by management.

The owner, John, is the only technician (which I just found out) and I had an appointment from 2-5…read morepm today. He left a message this morning to see if he could come earlier. I tried to call him back, but his voice mail was full. I just called at 4:35pm to find out when he was coming and he said he wasn't going to be able to make it today since his wife works nights. I understand that things happen, but he made no attempt to communicate with me and now I am in a real bind. These are my points: 1. His voice mail box is full, so I couldn't leave a message to let him know it was OK to come earlier. He had to have seen my missed call, but didn't bother calling me again. 2. He didn't call me to say he wouldn't be able to make it, so now it's 4:45 and I will never be able to get someone by the time I leave town. 3. No apology for not being able to make it. 4. Offered to come tomorrow, but I am leaving town with a 15 month old and need to do his laundry before I go. 5. I said I would call the office and see if someone else could get there today and he said OK. I called and found out he outsourced a company to answer the phone, so me calling the "outsourced" office was a complete waste of my time. The outsourced office let me know he was the owner and only technician, so there was nothing they could do. Nice of him to waste more of my time, don't you think? Needless to say, I am not a happy person right now. If my review stopped here, I would only give 1 star. John called me back and said he tried to find a friend that was in the same business and available this evening, but didn't have any luck. He gave me some simple things to look for that may have fixed the problem. They didn't, but at least he tried and apologized for the inconvenience.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Mr. Appliance in Chesterfield, MO -- a…read moreNeighborly company (I guess not so much). We originally called them for a warranty repair. A technician came out and completed the work, but within five days the issue resurfaced -- clearly related to the original repair. When I contacted the office expecting basic follow-up service under the warranty, I was instead met with resistance and unnecessary defensiveness. The customer service representative, Debbie, was shockingly rude and unhelpful. Rather than listening or acknowledging that this was a warranty call tied to work they had just completed, she repeatedly focused on warning me about potential trip fees if the issue was somehow "my fault." This was completely inappropriate given that the problem returned almost immediately after their service. The tone was dismissive and confrontational instead of solution-oriented. For a company that promotes itself under the Neighborly brand, this experience was anything but neighborly. At no point did I feel like they stood behind their work. Instead of owning the situation and scheduling a prompt follow-up, the conversation felt like an attempt to pre-emptively shift blame and protect billing. Because of the incompetence in resolving the issue and the unacceptable level of customer service, I chose to fire Mr. Appliance and take my business elsewhere. If you value professionalism, accountability, and respectful customer service -- especially on warranty repairs -- I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.
