Expert advice, good value. Best reason to shop local. Solved my dryer problem. Then my built in Microwave issue. Five stars.

    All American Appliance Service

Was referred by the home inspector and I'm glad I didn't check Yelp but just trusted him. My…read moreservice call was scheduled promptly. My only frustration was that they couldn't narrow the appointment window beyond 8 - 12. However, the day of, I was sent a text to let me know the technician was on his way and I could monitor his location! This is a game changer for service calls!!! Imagine not being tied to the house all morning! The technician was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He went above and beyond to show me what had happened and explain what needed to happen. The repair itself was simple, but having an experienced technician made a real difference. Cheap? No. But I suspect cheap is what got me here in the first place. Had All American Appliance done the install of the dishwasher in the first place, I don't think I'd be looking at thousands in restoration costs. Go with professionals and know that the work is being done correctly.

I would strongly encourage potential customers to consider a more reputable company before doing…read morebusiness here. In my experience, this company does not adequately stand behind its workmanship despite advertising a "100% guarantee." The original repair work on my ice machine was completed in mid-August at a cost exceeding $550. Within a short period of time, the unit began experiencing additional issues. In October, when the machine stopped working, I contacted the company and scheduled a service appointment. After performing troubleshooting on my own, I was able to temporarily resolve the issue and informed the company so they would not need to make a service call. At that time, I was specifically advised not to hesitate to contact them again if the problem returned. Now, in mid-May, the ice machine has once again begun intermittently malfunctioning. When I contacted the company regarding the recurring issue, I was informed that I would be required to pay an additional $100 service fee simply for them to inspect the appliance. Based on this experience, I do not believe the company's advertised guarantee reflects the level of post-repair support actually provided to customers. I was also disappointed in the manner in which the matter was handled by management.

One star is too many. Worst service from any repair place ever. Zero communication skills. The…read morechild Carla working the phones is rude and disrespectful and knows nothing- all she can do is leave messages for Eric the owner to return which he doesn't. I have had a non functioning refrigerator for almost a month due to their ineptness. They also don't seem to care about their reputation and lack of quality based on all their other reviews. Unfortunately I'm a renter and at the mercy of my property management co as far as who they choice for technicians but if you have a choice- you would be better off with a preschooler and their plastic tools than these damn fools

Our ice maker went out and was under warranty. After another company failed to repair it when a…read moreclaim was placed in July, our warranty company notified Repair King STL on September 30th. We were able to call them after they failed to reach out in the time period our warranty company asks vendors to communicate with customers. They originally sent out an older gentleman who was kind and considerate as he diagnosed our issue. Now the wait . . . . Multiple phone calls to Repair King until finally, we hear from our warranty company that parts were not even ordered by Repair King until December 8th. Because of the lack of urgency and timeliness on Repair King STL I had to make several phone calls inquiring about our parts. I will say the lady who works in the office is very professional and courteous on the home. The appointment was set up for last Wednesday, and the repairman no-showed. I called Wednesday evening and texted . . no response, phone call Thursday . . . no response. . . Phone call Friday . . . . no response. Instead, the guy did grace us with his presence by showing up unannounced on Friday afternoon. In all honesty, the repairman seemed like a gentle giant and we had a good conversation about area sports. The repairman took one look and said he didn't know how to fix it and would bring back another guy on Monday who knows what he is doing. Monday the same guy shows up and says no worries he watched a youtube video on how to fix it. The same refrigerator he moved with no issue on Friday now seems to be an issue. I came in from outside as he is using brute strength rocking it back and forth scratching the floor for 36+ inches. I tell him he is scratching the floor and he responds, "This F*&*^^ is heavy." I stayed calm and informed him he would need to call a supervisor. His response, "She is going to be p%^&ed" When asked for clarification, he stated, "your wife." Once he had the supervisor on the phone, the supervisor asks why he even moved the refrigerator since it is accessible without moving the refrigerator. He says he will call his insurance company the next day and will get back to the customer. I received a call from the company the following days who said we signed a waiver, and it protects them from the customer seeking any damages. He stated because there was previous damage to the floor (one chip), which I was transparent about, it is considered secondary damage. He states that if it had been a wall or the repairman knocked things off the counter, he would have been responsible. In the end, I gave Eric White, owner of Repair King STL, an invitation to come to my home to see the damage for himself and he refused. He asked why I didn't just move the refrigerator and what I would have done. He also mentioned that the repairman was in training. Before I could complete my answer and tell him I would have used the rollers (commons sense), emptied more items out of the fridge to make it lighter, or removed the doors for accessibility, he just continuously interrupted me. He was only interested in saying no and had zero interest in seeking an amicable resolution. I am posting in hopes to protect others from a company that provides a service outside the range of professional manner or quality. I had a few people ask me why I chose this company. The fact is, I did not. The icemaker was covered under warranty, which resulted in the warranty company selecting Repair King STL. Very rarely do I feel I was completely wronged or treated unfairly, but this one leaves a sick feeling knowing someone was in a position to make this right and chose not to stand behind the quality of service they say they provide. See the issue here is that we did sign a release of liability. When you sign such documents you sign in good faith that the person requesting the signature will work in good faith to take great care not to damage your home. This was not the case and instead, Repair King STL acted in a careless manner with zero regard for our home.
