They reached out to hear my feedback and offered to reimburse me for my storage unit since the movers did not show both days. I appreciate the corporate office taking ownership and addressing the situation with the local office. Worst experience ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I had high hopes through my first couple of interactions with this company. I was confirmed as a first move this Saturday. When I received my prep call three days prior, I was told I was not put down as the first move of the day, per my initial request and I was slotted for 11-4. I let that slide as an honest mistake. Saturday rolls around and they no show! I tried calling all day and no one on their dispatch, operations or customer service lines answers the phone. It's not till 4pm and someone calls me from their personal cell to apologize that no one is coming. The movers were supposed to call but "forgot", and decided to leave for the day and go home early. He apologized profusely and understood if I'd never want to speak to them again for how unprofessional they were. He offered a discounted rate and a coupon if I'd be willing to give them a second chance the next day, so I did. I was confirmed for the next morning at 8am. Next morning rolls around and again, a no show! I call at 9am and the office says I wasn't on the schedule for an 8am move! Absolutely insanity! They said they would scramble to find the soonest crew possible to get someone to my house ASAP. I called every hour on the hour for updates, asked to speak to a supervisor 4 times for a call back, which I still have yet to receive. I got 3 different stories telling me the crew was "on their way finishing up another move and they'd call me soon", all of which never occurred. Another day wasted waiting for no one to show up. At 4pm I called to cancel and ask for a refund. I've never experience worst customer service in my life. Two days of no shows and being lied to that people were on their way when they clearly were not. Can't believe this company is still in business with how they operate. Shameful! read more

HEED THESE WARNINGS AND AVOID THIS COMPANY!! The sales rep told me all these great stories, like the movers would have tools and don't need to unpack dresser. Well, no tools and complained the dresser wasn't unpacked. There were 7 pieces of furniture to move. They broke 3 and lost the bottom of a cabinet. I purchased the insurance but the offer I got for repairs didn't even cover the premium. Book them at your own peril. read more

what a total rip off. They took seven hours to clear my small one bdrm condo 2 1/2 miles to another small condo. They were very slow until they got to the new condo and then they charged me almost double what I was quoted. I'm an older person and they took complete advantage of me. I was shocked at the way they had increased the costs. There were four men working and after being two hours late they continued to dilly dally for seven hours. the most deceptive dealing from beginning to the end on many levels. when I booked, they quoted one price for 2 people and a truck. then when they called to confirm the move, the manager guy quoted a much higher price and said I need 3 people. meanwhile, it's a small 2 bedroom apartment. (I told them I don't need three, but 3 showed up anyway. one was clearly in training and had no clue what he was doing, so the other 2 took their time teaching him-- at my cost). the driver arrived, took 30 minutes to park the truck right at the entrance straight parking (so my time started) 30 minutes before they came up. took their time to load the truck. took an hour to drive 16 miles on an interstate. I had to pay at the drop off location before they even started to unload. They put 3 hours to unload and it took them 2 hours to unload, but I couldn't get refunded for the extra time I was charged. I have another family member moving, thank God they hadn't booked with this company!!! read more

Do Not Use All My Sons!! They moved me from Woodbridge, VA to Midlothian, VA. They did not finish the job of putting my bed together. I have spoken with them. I spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to get the problem fixed. I was transferred from person to person before they hung up on me. I called back, got the same run-around, even sending me to the main office in Dallas, who then transferred me back to the local company. The local office picked up the phone and then promptly hung up on me. The company will not send anyone to finish the job, nor will they reimburse me, or if they move someone to Richmond, I would be charged the hourly rate. They broke the glass on one of my large prints. I sent in the documentation, but I have never heard back. DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS! Never use All My Sons. They are unprofessional, rude, and will ruin your furniture. Not only were the movers over two hours late because the company did not have available trucks (although I had schedule the move weeks in advance), they destroyed the side of a parked car in front of my building. Once the movers actually started working, they took breaks every 20 minutes to go smoke, and although it seemed that they were packing the furniture in a professional manner, one my bedside tables got completely ruined. They were also unprepared: they did not bring the necessary tools to dismantle furniture and put it back together, which was in our contract. When we arrived at my new address, the movers could not figure out how to bring the furniture inside, yelled at my partner, and decided to drag everything through dirt and leaves. I had to spend my evening cleaning everything. They also lost the screws to our furniture, which we could not put together (although our contract stipulated they would do this as well). In fact, I and my partner did most of their work, and All My Sons seems it's appropriate to only offer $250 in damages. This is a terrible command with unprofessional and rude staff. Fraudulent, dishonest and difficult to work with. It took this company ALMOST 6 HOURS to move my small studio to my new place two blocks away. I understand movers are not cheap, but the previous movers I hired were able to move me in three hours to my last place. The movers somehow got lost despite moving to a new place 2 blocks away, and since they charge by the hour, I ended up with an insane bill for what really was a small move. My other chief complaint is that they are not honest about what they are charging you day of, and what I agreed to pay // what was charged to my card were literal different amounts. Honestly, it's difficult to pinpoint what went right with this experience. To begin with, I didn't get a time window of when movers would be arriving despite multiple attempts to contact them. I was only given a time 2-3 days before the move. My movers showed up late and at the wrong side of the building despite providing instructions. And despite not owning a lot of furniture, they somehow took so long that we had to be rushed out of the loading dock because the next set of movers had arrived for their reservation. The craziest thing is that they somehow get "lost" in when my new place is a literal five min walk away. The workers also KNEW since I told them it was very close by, but somehow they end up lost for almost an hour. They then continuously tell me that theyre almost done, and while they expected to take 45 more minutes, they take another 2-3 hours. I had around 15 medium boxes, a small couch, my desk and my bed. I still don't understand why this move took almost 6 hours, and customer service was awful when as they tried to charge me for the time these movers were lost. I genuinely am befuddled as to how this company has positive reviews. The service was awful, and the movers must have been moving leisurely for a move this small to take this long. BEWARE: I booked movers 2 months in advance of my move from a 1 bdrm apartment with a den to a new construction condo townhouse. Despite delays with completion of my new home, AMS locked in the initial rate that I was quoted and flexible with move in date once I found out my closing was finalized. I talked with Jason who was "nice" and thorough in terms of walking through how many rooms/stuff I had to move. While , I was told there would be two movers coming between 12 and 3. I didn't hear from anyone (Mario) until 2:30 or so stating they were 20 mins away. Eventually...3 movers showed up- 2 of which (including Mario) were absolute rookies IMO and had no clue where to start! Nor could they comprehend the items that I was moving to storage first before then to my new home. Not to mention all of my items were already boxed (uhaul) AND labeled with bright stickers. Only one of the movers (black guy didn't catch his name unfortunately) was the ONLY person hustling to get a simple 1 bedroom move completed timely. The others were literally moping around and dragging their feet. Almost purposely it seemed! Aside from the boxes I already packed I had two dressers to be taken to storage. Noone was prepared or rather had tools readily available(even asked if I had tools) then when it came time to properly wrap the dresser mirror the rookie mover stood in the middle of my loving room floor dazed and confused as if he didn't know how to wrap and protect the mirror. Unbelievable?! The information I received throughout the process (fuel charges, estimated time to begin the move) was inaccurate and kept changing resulting in a much higher cost than anticipated...which ultimately took this 3 man "crew" nearly 4 hours (started at 3:15 ended at 7:20 but I was still charged over $1,000) to complete again a 1 bedroom apartment with a den space! Not to mention before heading to my storage unit Mario and the other rookie were smoking cigs...and took longer to get to the storage location than it took me. I also find it a coincidence that the move prior to mine was in the exact same community. So why did it take so long to arrive to my place and begin my move? Furthermore, what "Mileage" was I really charged coming from the same area? Speaking of charges...my services totaled over $1,000 for again a simple 1 bedroom with a den space. I still had a ton of things left in my place they did NOT take which adds to the madness. I was charged for brown paper and packing/shrink wrap tape the rookie (it was his 2nd day on the job BTW) who didn't know how to use and ONLY again wrapped the two dressers. Long story short...Mario offered me to speak with his manager Sonny about my experience and pricing that was very concerning to me...well the short end of that conversation is that it went absolutely nowhere. After sharing my candid experience, level of disappointment and concerns that I had with the company's "services" Sonny lacked empathy and understanding of the situation, was cold, curt, downright disrespectful in terms of his response (or lack thereof) and not one opportunity to offer some sort of explanation or credit/discount for the horrible services AMS provided. I hate to say it, but he was an absolute prick and at the end of the day, intentionally sets out to "get one over" on customers. Do NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY FOR ANY MOVING SERVICES!! read more

This is the first time that I got ghosted by a moving company lol. I had put down a deposit, and they had to cancel the original moving date due to weather, which is completely understandable. They agreed to reschedule for the following week. After calling, texting, and emailing them several times asking if they were still available so I could coordinate with my apartment complexes and plan for the move, they never replied. I eventually said I'd like a refund on my deposit, and still did not receive a response. Thankfully, I filed a claim with my bank and got my deposit back. STAY AWAY!!!!Where do I start? Sigh. First, I'm never booking a vendor before checking Yelp because had I done that, I would've saved myself $6500. All of the reviews are exactly like mine. I almost never write reviews, unless I'm extremely happy or extremely upset, and as you can tell by how many stars, it's definitely the latter. They were great during the process before paying my deposit and were very responsive. My husband and I had a bad moving experience before so we wanted to hire a professional company to pack and unpack on the other side. I sent pictures of everything that we had so there were no surprises. We had a 6 bedroom house and they sent two guys with a 24 foot truck. They seemed nice and I didn't hover over them because I assumed they were professional. We were on a time schedule, and seven hours later(and 2 weed breaks), less than half of it was done. We even moved all the big items out before they came so it would not take as long . At that point they started throwing things down the steps in balling stuff up and putting them in boxes. I had a cleaning company there who,thank God, helped us out. They ran out of boxes, tape, and space on the truck so I ended up paying Cleaning Company to bring labor to move another truck full of items, which we had to pay to rent. The cleaning company went to Home Depot and got boxes and neatly packed the remaining items, some of which I had to throw away. As if that wasn't enough, they broke my bedframe and set it up in my house without putting screws in it, so we fell when we sat on it. We didn't discover this till after they left. We just threw it away and purchased a new one. On top of that, not a single box was labeled, and we dreaded going through each and every box to figure out what was where. I called the company back to let them know what happened to make corrections in the future but no one called me back so here I am months later , writing this review, in hopes of saving other individuals from this nightmare. What prompted me to write this today is because my husband had a garment box full of suits, and we finally decided to open the box . So damn angry! They were all thrown in the bottom of this box on top of random stuff, like glass, old, paper, and random shoes..... completely destroyed and ripped by broken glass. None of my seasonings were taped shut and was mixed in with cast iron and very expensive wine glasses, which, by the way, we're broken, so I had to throw the whole box of seasoning away. Did I also mention I couldn't reach them the following day and that they showed up around noon? If we have to move again, I'm not trusting another moving company that just hires hourly workers with no professional background. I'm gonna hire workers myself, rent a truck myself, and be the project manager on my own move. I'm tired of this. This was the move from Hell. Unless you like horror stories, avoid this company at all costs. I have moved many times domestically and overseas and never had such a bad experience as I had with All My Sons. When the estimator visited, I opened cupboards and closets and the attic to make sure he saw everything. He wrote a list and sent me an estimate to which I agreed. The day of the move they demanded much more money, holding my household goods hostage on a truck in the middle of a city street until I gave them a credit card for the higher amount. The day of the move, the trucks were hours late, and when they arrived, instead of the "professional movers" I'd been promised, only the team leaders and a few others were professionals. One confided that most of the team were "guys they picked up at the 7-11." It showed. They spent more time lounging than working and seemed to be constantly taking smoke breaks or on their phones. One drove a truck across my lawn, leaving deep ruts. I asked the company to reimburse me for the cost of remediation, but they never did. They ran out of packing materials at one point and seemed unconcerned. I asked the company to send more, but they never turned up. The movers lounged around on my porch socializing and smoking for hours, doing nothing. A friend finally went to Walmart to purchase what was needed. I asked the company to reimburse me, but they never did. One mover, instead of working, followed a female worker around harassing her as she tried to work. I could tell she was bothered by his attentions, but he continued. I called the company to report this. When prodded, the professional movers were quick to tell other horror stories about the company. Apparently, a low-ball estimate then jacked up when the customer was helpless was their business model. Because of the delays, the company couldn't finish packing on the one day planned, and said they'd have to come back the next day. I had to arrange for a friend to be there for them. The second day, the movers prepared to leave without some of the furniture because it "wasn't on the list." They planned to just leave it. The estimator had most assuredly seen it. I pleaded with the company, and they finally relented. The carefully laid out plan had been to have one truck to take half my household to storage, which I'd booked, and the other half to my new home. Everything was labeled as to its destination. The plan was basically disregarded, and items appeared to have just been loaded on the trucks at random. I spent many hours and dollars paying people to move stuff to storage and bring stuff from storage to my home. I still haven't found some things. The packers didn't label boxes as to contents, so I had no idea what was in them when they arrived. Because of all the delays, the trucks left very late for the four-hour journey. I went with the truck to storage. All My Sons assured me that the storage facility I booked would be open when we arrived. They weren't. We arrived late at night to a dark facility. The exhausted movers told me that they would have to take the truck all the way back to Richmond, Virginia, in the opposite direction, because the company was "too cheap to pay for hotels for us." They had already worked, they said, 15 hours, in violation of labor regulations, but said the company didn't care. So they left and I came back the next day to meet them. The estimator had told me to book a 20' x 10' unit, but it was too small. So I had to book another unit. The first unit was professionally packed, but the second looked like they had just thrown things in, chairs and items that had fallen out of badly packed boxes just tossed in at random. When we rolled up the door, a mattress fell out. The facility manager said he'd never seen movers do such a bad job. The truck with my household goods coming to my new home was many hours late because they said it had to be taken an hour and a half in the opposite direction to their facility in Richmond to be weighed, something I'd not been advised about. It was finally scheduled to arrive after midnight, with exhausted workers who I knew had been already working 18 hours. I asked them to hold the truck in Richmond and bring it the next day, but they refused. I tried to negotiate, but they said the truck was booked for another job. My son threatened to call OSHA on the company and suddenly the truck would be available the next day! Without furniture, I slept elsewhere that night. Because of the sloppy packing, there was much breakage. When the movers the next day lifted boxes, the bottoms fell out. The packing on my great grandmother's irreplaceable mirror was so bad that when lifted, the mirror slid out and crashed on the street, shattering it. One mover, being silly and trying to carry a box on his head, dropped it on the stairs and it fell all the way down, crushing an expensive floor-to-ceiling blind. All in all, a nightmare experience. Couple scrapes and dents on the walls but nothing a touch up of paint couldn't handle and to be fair the angles they navigated were very sharp. I definitely could not have managed it on my own. If the pricing information and the timing of the move was accurately communicated, I'd score them much higher. I would give zero stars if that were an option. I called on June 11th, 2025 to schedule my move for June 27th, 2025. After not hearing anything from the company(I was told the would call to confirm within the days before the move), I took the liberty of calling the day before my move. I was put on hold for over 1.5 hours that night and when I finally spoke to someone(6/26) I was told my move was confirmed, They even went as far as to say that they had a move before mine and would ours would be second, but they did not have an exact time. On Friday the 27th, we are finishing getting everything ready for the movers and they do not show up, at about 11:30 I start to get nervous so I call the company, I was on hold for 1 hour and they did not pick up. When I finally got through to someone on the scheduling/new client side they were able to tell me my move had been CANCELED... which is absolutely infuriating because I had spoke to someone the night before about how it was confirmed. The person on the new client side had informed me that they told management and that they could not get a hold of the Virginia location. This had to have been the worst experience I have ever had with a business. Thankfully I was reimbursed for the deposit but it was extremely inconvenient and it ended in us calling 57 other businesses in the area because we had to be out of our apartment. It's just inconsiderate of every bodies time and just rubs me the wrong way that I had confirmed and they were a no show. read more

DON'T ever use this horrible company out of Virginia Beach!!! Moved to Northern Virginia and our stuff missing. A total of $2300 in missing and damaged furniture, they offered us less than 10% for damages!!! When the truck arrive, the three guys we paid for was bringing the boxes up, so...who was watching the open truck with our furniture??? Their office said the missing items were never on the truck yet, their pictures sent to us shows the items on the truck!! Days later, property manager came and said we had boxes on the 9th floor, we are on the 6th!!!! Please, don't waste your money! read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! While we were able to get moved in a day (we packed ourselves); I spent over $350 waiting in my car for them while they checked in at the visiting center at our housing community. Even though one truck was good to go, they said they wanted to wait for the other truck. So we sat there for an hour which I had to pay for! This isn't right. I paid for their travel. This part should have been included in that pay. Once they got to my house the time SHOULD have started, not when they got to the visitor center. Would NOT recommend this company if you live in a housing community that requires visitor passes. On top of that there were a load of scuff marks and several dents in my walls!!! In November 11 2023 I hired All my sons to help me pack and move me to my new place. It was a two day move. First day to pack me the second day to load the truck and take to my new place. The first day 3 guys showed up, it took them 4 hours to pack my son's room and half of my kitchen. Because they were paid hourly I guess they were taking their time and they did not pack my son's desk with stuff still inside it. I asked them to leave and just come the next day to load the truck. They brought a small truck knowing that it won't fit. They damaged my furniture, my TV. It was BRUTAL. I spoke to the manager Drew, he was able to send another crew Tazo and Chris. They were amazing, they helped unload the truck and went back to my condo to grab the rest of my stuff. I'm so frustrated, disappointed and I paid $3000 for this. By the way the 2 location were only 15 minutes from each other. I wish I checked Yelp before I made my decision. read more

We have moved cross-country 4 times, using a different company each time. Moving is never fun, but we have never left a negative review about any of the movers we used. Here's what we would say about our experience using All My Sons: Avoid this company like the plague. There was not a single part of the experience that was positive, except that the individual drivers/movers were nice people. This company is incompetent, does not care about its customers or employees, and damaged many of our household goods. But more than anything, the corporate employees (not the local drivers/movers) had a complete lack of care/empathy. Let's go through step-by-step: OVERPROMISING DURING ESTIMATION / SALES PROCESS We worked with Robert, who assured as that we would get full packing, moving, and unpacking services. He reassured me multiple times over the phone when he was trying to sell us--but we did not receive full unpacking services. They only reassembled a few beds. When we read the fine print of the contract, we discovered that legally they were not obligated to do so. Fine--we can live with that. Robert also assured us that the same 4-person crew would pack, move and unpack us to make the process as seamless as possible. This was absolutely not the case: 2 of the members of the crew literally quit during the packing. One of the drivers was literally hired the morning of the drive--we had never met him when he showed up at the house. DAMAGE TO GOODS / OUR NEW HOUSE The furniture in our 2nd moving truck was not padded at all. Cribs, tables, chairs, were all just thrown into the truck with no protection. Not surprisingly, much of our furniture was damaged significantly. An expensive TV was broken, as was our record player. They lost the key to an antique china cabinet and had locked the doors of it, so now we have to pay a locksmith to make a new key. Many of our boxes weren't even labeled. A framed piece of artwork was smashed and the painting was significantly damaged/scratched as a result. They also left multiple items in the original house that were supposed to be packed up. They also scuffed up walls, broke our storm door, and damaged our back porch. They moved a freezer without taking a pack of ground beef out of it--you can imagine how that smelled when we arrived. The freezer will permanently smell after that one. We paid for the most comprehensive insurance option provided by the company, so we will see how that process goes--I'm sure it'll be a dream based on how the rest of this process has gone. MISTREATMENT OF EMPLOYEES Whenever our drivers tried to reach their supervisors, they could rarely get through on the phone. When our two big trucks arrived at the destination, this company made just two men (the same two who just finished driving 18 hours alone) unload by themselves. This was truly inhumane, and we ended up helping them with the work because we felt so bad for them. The local branches have no relationship to the corporate headquarters. The All-My-Sons boxes say on the side: Move With Us COMFORTABLY AFFORDABLY FANTASTICALLY These are just words and mean absolutely nothing to any of the employees of this company. We spent a LOT of money (around $18,000) on this move and the move was anything but comfortable or fantastic. To the customer service intern who will inevitably comment on this\ apologizing for our experience: do not waste your time. Honestly, consider taking your talents to a different employer--it is a waste of your time trying to clean up this cesspool of a company. read more

I was not impressed at all with the service I received. Among other things, they were dishonest with moving cost (fuel charge changed, time, material cost). It was exponentially higher than quoted/ expected and I would've saved so much money hiring another mover...Additionally, not responsible at all: didn't bring power tools or tools of any kind to disassemble and reassemble bed/furniture and I actually had to lend them my own tools...which should NOT happen. I only had them pack up my bedroom set and they managed to break my dresser, dent and scrape my doorframe and got my box spring SO dirty when it was virtually spotless before. They littered in my yard after my dad graciously gave them cans of drinks. Then they had the audacity to try to put one down the storm drain. So yeah, between damaged furniture, scraped walls, littering and fraudulent prices--I will steer clear and have my friends do the same when moving again. Edit: this seems like some sort of bad joke. yes, thank you so much for providing a number that doesn't answer phone calls (or rarely does) and has a full voicemail box....like for real y'all?? I have also emailed All My Sons with no response as of lately. I was contacted only one time by a customer care rep and they said they would send me a packet to fill out to remedy the issues and I was never sent any email or packet like I was told, this was maybe 14-20 days ago when I originally emailed and wrote my review. BEWARE! Do not use them under any circumstances! $1287 for a 6 mile move for basically a bedroom set, recliner, kitchen table set, and exercise bike. (I'd already moved 6 car fulls worth of everything I could carry.) They did not bring working power tools and only one person could use the few tools they brought. The others watched while he tried to disassemble things. The movers were nice but they didn't have the needed tools and they couldn't fit my sofa or desk out the door (prior movers had gotten them to fit) so I will have to call a junk removal company to cut them up. (Update: they also didn't reassemble my storage bed correctly, broke a lamp, and damaged my floors.) Don't repeat my mistake. Use literally any other company. read more

My family and I experienced such a horrible move with All My Sons. It was a complete nightmare and we are still recovering from the distress we encountered with this company. As a professional that works in the residential industry, I understand so intimately how stressful and draining moving can be on a household. This is why customers seek help for moving, the cost is very high and not ideal but for the service you make the sacrifice to pay. I can assure you, please do not sacrifice your households money paying for moving expenses with this company. On moving day, we were scheduled to start our move at 9am, no one ever arrived. My husband and I had to call several time for an update. The movers didn't arrive to our home until 4 hours later. They explained they were handling another move and double booked apparently, totally unacceptable but we gave them grace and tried to be understanding although it totally messed up our moving schedule. My husband and family had to start packing up our own vehicles in lieu of all my sons being so late and totally disregarding the scheduled time. Once the movers arrived, they were not prepared. We were promised that the cost include, materials, packing, wrapping items, breaking down furniture, packing and unloading accordingly. To top off the fact that they were late with little to no apology, they came with NO SUPPLIES OR TOOLS! They were not able to wrap our furniture, and couldn't break down our beds. My family had to go to the store to pick up wrapping supplies and they used boxes to break down and wrap our furniture with. At this point, I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism and the fact that they didn't come prepared to provide the services to be paid for. This not only prolonged the moving process but made it super stressful and unbearably horrible. In the process of incorrectly moving our items without properly wrapping them, they damage my expensive tv stand. How could you, provide such horrible service and then mishandle peoples items with such disrespect? If you weren't prepared, shouldn't have management got involved and rescheduled or came and brought the supplies to make sure items weren't damaged during there professional services. Well, that didn't happen, we were treated with no respect and as if our move didn't matter to them. We had to call management several times and not only were they disrespectful and rushed us off the phone they just sent us to claims department that only offered $100!!!! After an almost $1,000 move, we ended up with stress, damaged furniture, we had to hire new movers because they never packed up all of our items or broke down our beds. I truly expected to be reimbursed after their movers didn't have the proper supplies to wrap my items that were sentimental to my family. Until this day we received $0 , no communication from management or apologies. As a manager myself, I practice good business habits and this is truly bad business, all around. The management team should be ashamed. My family and I should have received a refund or for the movers to come back and finish our move due to their lack of preparation but no they rushed and lacked professionalism and treated my family with total disrespect. There movers communicated with us that they ran out of supplies which was to be included in their labor and hourly that we paid. Due to this they didn't wrap our items properly. They assured us it would be fine with them moving the items but that was not the case at all. Between the movers being 4 hours late, to not having proper supplies, making us late for our loading dock appointment and then to end the day cracked my tv stand which is the highlight of our living room. Truly a nightmare from beginning to end! Plus, no inventory list was gone over , so this should be handled with fairness and respect to your customer. All My Sons Moving & Storage - Packing Services Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

We used All My Sons Feb 13 2025. They embed professional when we were making all necessary arrangements and documentation needed for our small move. All we requested was the need for them to move two dressers downstairs and in to my my truck so I could drive it to our other house. We were quoted a rate of $371.00. I made a deposit of $100.00. We had two young men show up and they shrink wrapped the dressers. One of the young men was wearing a bandage on his right arm. Amazingly he was able to still carry the dressers down the stairs. We then were charged another $457.70 making the total $557.70 instead of the $371.00! We tried to call the office and they kept transferring us around for 30 minutes. We paid and now I am trying to get their claims office on the line. I have called them four different times and I am still on hold. I have been writing this while waiting for someone to talk to about this issue. On another note my wife is missing a pair of diamond earrings but since we were split up with them in the house we can not be positive the movers stole them. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. Yep I am still on hold! This company needs to be investigated by the BBB! read more

Do NOT use this moving company!! If they damage your property they will NOT properly reimburse you! I'll try to be brief- I have a safe that weighs 600lbs. I requested a 3 man team but was forced to pay for a 4 man team in order to move this item, however only 2 men actually moved the item, leaving the floor to be damaged. A LARGE scratch was left on my landlords BRAND NEW hardwood flooring. A claim was filed to include a professional estimate by the original installers of the hardwood flooring that it would cost $1,275 to fix the flooring and was sent to the claims department. I was only offered $325 for the damage. Despite the fact that $1,275 (the actual cost to fix the flooring) was taken out of my rental security deposit. On top of that, a 4 man team is considerably more expensive than a 3 man team and the 4 men weren't even utilized. I am out well over 1k for their incompetence. This is a horrible business that does not take care of their customers and account for their mistakes. The only nice thing I can say about them is their movers were polite and professional. You just better hope they don't damage your items. read more

BEWARE!!! Do not use this moving company. They moved my furniture into storage in July. 4 months later, here we are, I get my stuff out of storage. All my totes were smashed. My base to my table was broken. They set heavy items on top of fragile items. I could have done a better job on my own. I called to let them know my displeasure. I was basically told screw you, you have already moved it so it's not our responsibility. They call themselves professionals. Worst moving company ever. They purposely move slow to increase the hours worked. The 4 man crew was more of a 2 man crew. They damage most of my furniture. Somehow it took 9 hours to move half of a small townhome and unload everything in a garage! Do NOT hire. My move was April 21st I'm writing this review May 6th and I'm still heated about the crappy services. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This entire operations is smoke in mirrors. They position themselves as premium movers who will carefully wrap and move your items, for a stress-free move. This was anything but stress-free. The nonsense began 2 days before the move when the local Manager sent me a quote that was more expensive hourly, a higher fuel rate, and more travel time than I was quoted at booking. I was quoted 5-6 hours for my entire house. The 4-man team spent the first 3 hours just doing the 3 bedrooms! (30 mins was setup, which was billed on top of 1.5 hrs for travel) I asked them 2 separate times to be sure they packed my bed and was rudely told it was taken care of. It wasn't. An hour into the move, I was informed that they needed a 2nd trip to get everything. I agreed and asked for 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen be done. I didn't realized until they came to my mid-level that they were literally wrapping EVERYTHING in moving blankets, covering in plastic wrap, and taping. Even my cheap couch and loveseat!!! And this was for a local, 8-mile move!! I watched one man sit and wrap my $5 chairs each it their own blankets. I repeatedly said this was unnecessary and was told I was wrong because everything needed to be wrapped. I see now that this is how they jack up the price. 5 hours to load is ABSURD! And as they were closing the truck, I told them they forgot my bed!!! SO I watched as they spent 30 more minutes trying to wedge my bed frame in! ...which I, of course, also paid for! The team took a 30 minute dinner break - which they charged me for! When they arrived at my new home, they made me sign all of the paperwork and releases ahead of unloading. I objected to the releases but was told they wouldn't unload until I signed. I had meticulously labeled EVERY SINGLE BOX so that everything would be put into place. But since they make you pay before they unload, they rush the unload! My house was a disaster! They shoved boxes and furniture literally anywhere they could. They dropped several boxes in their haste. They charged me an insane price for materials - none of which was actually itemized for me, but included 2 mattress bags. Yet my $3,000 King mattress was folded and shoved into the truck without protection and now has grease truck lines all over it! I had left out my original tv boxes for packing 2 of my tvs. They chose not to use one and of course when I turned it on, I found that screen had been crushed. One of my lamps was completely destroyed and left broken in half sitting in my living room. They also smashed my old house's doorbell box. Day 2, I called the local Manager in the morning to express my concerns. He must have let the team lead know because he was downright nasty to me the entire load time. He kept demanding to know where things were going and telling me they weren't going to fit. He kept rushing me and pressuring me to leave things behind. He forced me to agree to leave boxes outside of my house because there wasn't room (because they had created a disaster the day before instead of stacking boxes in the correct rooms in an orderly way). I was afraid for my safety, especially because this person had made it clear to me the day before that he had looked me up. At one point he told me he was my age and then said he knew because he had checked. He also told me he had looked up photos and floorplans of my house. I felt threatened and even as I write this am fearful of the retribution. I was once again forced to pay a blind bill without seeing any itemization or receiving any receipt. I have emailed the local Manager for receipts repeatedly and to report the broken items, but he has refused to provide them. The icing on the crap cake of this move is that one of their trucks hit the power lines and took down one of the wires connecting the street to the house. I had to stop what I was doing and deal with that. DO NOT recommend. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Save yourself the trouble. read more
