Truck still ran poor, brought it back so they could see if the coil or spark plus were firing correctly. They were he replaced the other 7 coils, and recharged the air conditioner which was not mentioned, when I complained he removed the charge. My wife noticed a handwritten charge on both receipts, finally figured out it said card run fee, because I used my charge card, both times the fix cost over $1200 each, then the charges for fees on credit card was $97.41 no where did it state I would be charged a fee for using a credit card, our friend who works for mac recommended him, I would not. They work on cars and fix things and charge huge prices, when I called two other mechanics I have used before, I was told the total cost for the coils and labor would be $899 minus 20% for aaa discount. Make sure IF you ever use these people you tell them not to do any of the work until you hear from them on the amount before the work is started.I'll be calling my back once this clears through and file a dispute on charges not authorized.

That said, Corey has lots more experience and knowledge than I do (I tell him what I think is wrong, and half the time he suggests maybe something else, and darned if he isn't right! I'd have found it eventually after everything else I did didn't fix it). My suburban stopped running down in Utah one hot summer and had to get towed to a shop 80 miles further down the road (that night's destination, actually, lucky me..) - called Corey for a first 'second opinion' and after symptom discussion he suggested over the phone an overheated original fuel pump - never woulda thunk it, bad gas?, fuel filter?, computer?, yea.. fuel pump? Nah.. - the Utah shop replaced the fuel pump and confirmed it. I learn something new every day no matter how hard I try. My advice is that when you find a good mechanic with integrity at a reasonable price, stick with him. He's more than a mechanic, he's a trusted friend now. Even though it's not to my benefit to recommend him (hard enough getting an appointment because he's pretty busy as it is), I selfishly want him to stay in business, so yea, I highly recommend ProCar. (BTW, that 1-star rating back in 2018 was a vehicle with all the emissions stuff removed. State law at the time would not grant a waiver in that situation - the emissions equipment at least had to be present. Everyone involved came away with a 'bad attitude' about it).

The Worst Part - Dangerous Negligence: Two days after the service, while driving on the freeway to Snoqualmie, my car began emitting smoke and a terrible smell. Upon checking, I discovered they had forgotten to put the engine oil cap back on. Oil had spilled everywhere, and my car became undrivable. Roadside assistance had to tow it to a service center, where I was informed that overheating had damaged a sensor. 5. Dishonest and Unreliable: I contacted them to explain what happened and requested reimbursement for the costs incurred due to their negligence ($1,036 total: $150 service refund, $194 for roadside assistance, and $692 for repairs). They initially agreed to pay by 3/1, then postponed to 3/6, claiming they needed to investigate a negative review (which wasn't mine--I even provided proof). Now, they've ghosted me since 3/5, despite reading my messages on Yelp. Bottom Line: Their negligence could have resulted in a serious accident, and their refusal to take responsibility speaks volumes. I wouldn't trust them with any vehicle. He had to do a couple of modifications to the new alternators mounting brackets and plastic coupling attachment for a wiring plug. He was great at the modifications and assured me they would not affect the performance of the new alternator. He put everything back perfectly that he had unplugged or unbolted, the only thing that went wrong was the little handle for my oil dipstick broke off while he was trying to get around in the right engine bay of my Acura, he told me what had happened, took responsibility for it and is getting me a replacement dipstick free of charge. I will definitely be using his services in the future. His prices are beyond reasonable and charged way less than any dealership or roadside service shop would. Great value for my hard earned money. I recommend him hands down.

I couldn't be happier. He has also worked on my wife's 2006 Mazda. She broke down on Alaska Way. We towed the car home and called Todd. We talked about symptoms and agreed that the likely culprit was the alternator/voltage regulator assembly. He came with the part and knew just how to get to it, which required removing a whole bunch of stuff from under the car. He buttoned that up at like 1am. The man is dedicated. She later broke down again and since it was with my child in the car, he dropped everything to rescue her. Again he knew what it likely needed and showed up with the part to get her back on the road quickly. We later schedule service with him to do her front brakes, which he noticed were quite thin when he was doing the alternator job. The convenience of a mobile mechanic cannot be overstated. My only complaint would be that Todd isn't always super punctual. But I've gotten to know him and his situation, if you will. He's a single dad and primary caregiver to two children. His skills are in constant demand, it's difficult to say exactly how long a job will take, and there's a flood of customers vying for attention. If you can be flexible on time, he's a great option, and if you've got a legit emergency, he will be there. Otherwise, relax, he's gonna get to you and the price and convenience make it worth it. Yes covid has played a part in some delays, but the amount of times this person has "no showed" (beyond count), moved times, showed up late (beyond count), missing parts, left after only working on the car for a minimal amount of time saying an emergency has happened is beyond belief. In December finally had to threaten to call the police to return my engine and thousands of dollars in parts. It was returned. Some work continued with a commitment to complete this job. Writing this makes me sad that I gave him so many chances. I was holding onto a dream that this person would finish a job. Todd knows the stories of what this car means and the trust that was given. When we called other mechanics explaining what has happened, no one so far will complete it not knowing what he has done. Todd has a passion for cars but obviously looking at his reviews and what he has put us through.... I am done....... Unfortunately with a car in my garage in pieces with $10,000 paid in labor / parts and no returns calls or texts. We have everything documented, calls and texts copied and would sue if there was anything to sue for. UPDATE: We've had 2 different mechanics inspect this work. More recently, I ran into problems restoring a beloved classic pickup truck that's been in my family since I was a kid. David and Jim determined that somebody had previously sold me the wrong clutch, and Jim even went so far as to pick up the correct parts from the local dealer on his way to work the next morning. The day after that, I had the truck back on the road, and drove it to Leavenworth and back during the 2019 "snowpocalypse" with no problems at all. Although I'm the type of person who mostly works on their own cars, Pittman has become my go-to for any job I can't (or don't have time) to do myself. I dropped my car off here for the overpriced and overrated car wash they call a "complete" detailing service at 10:40 AM...they did not bring my car back until 10:00 PM and had the nerve to ask me how it looks as if I can see much of anything when it's pitch black at night. Pulling it into my parking garage though...I saw that my windshield still had wiper streaks on it. Skylar, the presumed owner, gave me an original estimate of 7:00 PM which was still a ridiculous amount of time, but I agreed as I really wanted my car detailed. But I should've known once he begged me not to purchase the Groupon as they would take 40% of the revenue then tried charging me almost $30 more than the Groupon's listed price when I dropped my car off that this was a business I should've avoided. $6 card fees in 2021? Don't take credit/debit cards if you can't afford the transaction fees...or literally keep it simple like a proper business and fold them into your prices. Arguing with a paying customer over $6 is extremely off-putting, my friend who I was on the phone with at the time was embarrassed for me and was shocked at Skylar's attitude and insistence.
