I talked to John who said it was impossible because Thursday was completely booked and that he would need to order those tires special. I needed it done because I couldn't drive my car any longer, REALLY bad tires. So John said he would squeeze me in. I dropped off my car at 8:30am and hoped for the best. I called at 4:10 to see if it was done and he was just making up the bill. When I got there, he was still scrubbing the blue tape off of the new white walls. He insisted that he was going to get it all off before I left. Who does that?? To take the time making sure my tires looked nice, well that's just amazing!. When I drove away, it felt like I was driving a new car! The front end alignment was perfect. When I let go of the wheel (for a second) the car stayed straight as an arrow! Oh, and did I mention that my car is a 1991 Cadillac? Yep, John breathed new life into my beloved car. That car belonged to my father who passed away in 2008. I feel he is with me everytime I drive that car. John is a little quirky but he does a great and thoughtful job! I moved into the area in 2012 and didn't have a mechanic, well I certainly do now. I highly recommend Tire Zone. Don't let the places looks fool you, they are very good at what they do!

Two different times I had emergencies on a Saturday morning, the last one was Saturday August 17th. We were packing up my son in the car he was driving back to Iowa for his last year of college. After almost getting everything in the car, my wife notices a bulge in the aide of one of the tires. I call pomp's, get Vince on the phone (he doesn't even know me or orobably remember what he did for my wife a month earlier), explain to him what I found and the tire sizes (225/45/17). It's an odd size tire, plus it's all wheel drive which means I'll need four, cause they have 20k on them and all wheel drive tires need to be the same diameter. He tells me that I bet have them in stock, but he's swamped (plus he had 15 oil changes to do on trucks). I stated that my son was heading to Iowa and REALLY needed this done today (I asked about any pomp's near Iowa city too) he said if he showed up, he would squeeze him in (after the appointments of course). They close at noon and this was about 10:20 am. My son hauled ass over there and I followed a few minutes after. Vince was measuring (in the pouring rain) the tire depth of the other tires to see if we could get by with only one tire. They were way out of the maximum allowed specs. Anyway he got my son on the road by 11:20 am. I recognized one of the other workers breaking the beads off the tires and he's a worker too!! Nice guy. He put one of my tires (for a diesel tractor) in a bag before loading it in my trunk. Pomp's should be very proud of Vince and the guys he has busting there asses for the customer. I'm definitely patronizing them over discount tire. If I could give pomp's more stars, I would!!!!

I do service dispatch for a living, and I would never speak to someone in need the way their dispatcher spoke to me. The woman on the phone was shockingly rude -- talking over me, blaming my insurance for "lying," giving attitude when I simply asked for an update, and acting annoyed that I even needed help. I genuinely wish I had recorded the call. If this is who answers your phones, fire your dispatcher. The timeline speaks for itself: * Called at 7:30 AM * Got a confirmation text at 8:02 AM saying arrival would be within 45-75 minutes * Tow truck didn't show up until 10:15 AM When I pointed out the delay (calmly), she cut me off mid-sentence blaming the insurance and dryly asked if I wanted to cancel -- after I had already waited over an hour in the winter. Absolutely unprofessional and honestly disgusting. And the kicker? Yelp is full of the exact same complaints. So clearly this isn't an off day -- it's who they are. McCoy Services and the dispatcher wasted my time, my money, and treated me like I was an inconvenience instead of a stranded customer. Not anymore. The disrespect and the dishonesty with which they have treated me is unforgivable, and I will never patronize this shop again. Here's why: I took my vehicle to McCoy's for brake and exhaust issues, and I asked for an estimate of the costs, which they provided. An extra $336 appeared out of nowhere. I understand that an estimate is indeed an estimate, but at no point did the folks at McCoy's contact me about $336. After I got my vehicle back, I called McCoy's and spoke with Janet. Janet informed me that the owner would be calling me back at some point. He didn't. I posted on Facebook, without naming the business, asking for advice from my mechanic friends. Merely minutes after posting on Facebook, I received a call from McCoy's. It wasn't the owner. It was Janet. She berated me and treated me like garbage. She had apparently seen my Facebook post, and she accused me of slandering the business. Not only do some of the charges seem excessive -- the mysterious $300+ fee is inexplicable. I'm attaching pictures. I won't return to this business again, and I will advise my friends in Channahon not to do so -- at least as long as Janet is there.
