Notice how the owner's reply said nothing about the photos or the fact several "policies" were ignored when it comes to providing for the customer. I stand by my one star even more now. I never agreed to not mopping the floors (only skipping one room due to painters being in there because you showed up LATE) and I never got a walk through of the house when the job was completed and I never said it was a great job or even a good job. I had an awful experience with Golden Box Cleaning. I was in the process of moving into my first house. I asked for a "move in cleaning service" which on the website they described as a "deep clean." I wanted my house DEEPLY cleaned before I started moving things into the house. I called them and was able to get an appointment for the following week on Thursday at 9AM. I rescheduled to 8AM because I knew I was going to be extremely busy later in the day with painters, movers and locksmith. I was on a time crunch to get things done! Their catch line is "we clean, you rest." and that's what I wanted. On Thursday, the cleaning person did not show up, so I had to call them to see what was going on. And then they said she would arrive shortly, as their system was not working effectively. The cleaning person show up OVER AN HOUR LATE. Once she (Gabriella) got hers she asked what I wanted specifically done, and I mentioned the ceiling fans are very dusty and to please do everything a "deep clean" requires. Then she asked for paper towels as she FORGOT them. In their FAQ section it says that they bring all supplies. Later, I asked her if the service included moping. She said she FORGOT her mop, and if I had a mop she would do it, but obviously I didn't as the house was completely empty so I let it go because what else am I supposed to do? Then when she "finished" she asked me if I needed anything else done, I quickly looked at the windows and could still see nose prints from the past owners dogs. I asked her to do that. She then leaves, she probably spent around 10AM to 2ish in my home. Not sure what she even did especially considering she gave me back my paper towels roll which looked like she didn't even use half. I didn't think I had to helicopter watch her. I started moving kitchen items into cabinets on Sunday. It doesn't even look like she wiped down the cabinet shelves (see photos) ! That red bucket photo is from us buying a brand new shop vacuum and that is everything we pulled out just from the kitchen cabinets!! That paper towel photo is from one sweep after the vaccum. I went through so many paper towels and time before I was even able to put anything away. I have been working 14+ hours day to get the house livable. It was a Sunday and things need to get done asap. On Monday, I called expressing how unsatisfied I was. I spoke with the owner, Camille, and she made me feel like she wanted to make things right. She offered to have someone come back out to fix the mistakes, but at that point everything was clean! THANKS TO ME! So I asked for a refund. $280 dollars (not even including the obligatory tip) for an extremely awful job is shocking to me. She said I was outside the "48 hour window policy" so therefore she probably couldn't refund my money, but she, THE OWNER, said she will check with the IT team (not sure what it has to do with anything) to see what she could do and would "call me back in an hour". Apparently, this "48 hour window," includes weekends which I've never heard of. She didn't get back to me until 3:26PM (I called at 9:47AM). She didn't even have the respect to call me. She texted me basically saying the IT team has not gotten back to her. The following day she gets back to me (through text again) explaining that the worker already got paid and therefore they couldn't refund my money. From my point of view, that's their problem not mine. They should be eating the cost- not me! On their website, the FAQS say a representative is suppose to call shortly after the service is completed and reach out to ensure we were satisfied. I never got this call. It seems she uses her website policies only when it suits her. I tried calling the following two days and just keep getting the voice-mail. I officially have been ghosted which shows you they are unprofessional. I actually sent a good portion of this review to her and she never responded. So I guess she actually doesn't care about "100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION".

I was hesitant because I've never used a cleaning service before and didn't know what to expect or if the prices would be worth it (or what the general prices even were). I called to get a quote and was told about a special they had for $150 for 3 hours and up to 5 bedrooms (I only have 3), and you get to choose a couple areas for them to focus more attention on. Originally I had only wanted the living/dining room, kitchen and guest bathroom cleaned, but to be honest my bedrooms needed to be cleaned too, so I agreed to that deal. I run a daycare in my home, so they came over after nap time at 2:30 pm. The night before I had tidied up the rooms so they wouldn't have to waste time moving tons of junk around to get to the surfaces that needed to be cleaned (though there was still plenty of junk on the kitchen counter since I use it a lot throughout the day, but they just moved it around to clean under everything). Two people cleaned my house using their own supplies and natural cleaning products (vinegar was one, though they said if I wanted anything heavy duty or to be bleached, etc, they could do that too). I told them I wanted the focus to be on the kitchen and bathrooms, and the other rooms just dusted and vacuumed. And that's exactly what they did in the time allotted, so I am a happy camper! If I could do one thing over, it would be to ask if the furniture dusted could have also been wiped down either with Pledge, or with a wet wipe of some sort because my furniture was pretty dirty to begin with, so dusting alone wasn't enough. I'm sure they would have done that had I thought of it beforehand or noticed it sooner, but hey this was my first time and I didn't know what to ask for. They did ask me about one table, it had incense dust all over it, so they asked if I want that cleaned off or just dusted, and I said cleaned off. So clearly they were flexible and trying to follow my instructions/wishes. Also, before the cleaning started they went over exactly what areas in the kitchen were important (for example, I didn't need the insides of the appliances cleaned). I was told they do dishes and laundry too, so I am passing their name on to my friends and family. I will definitely use them again when my house gets out of control and I just want the whole thing caught up on. I am considering using them once a week for the kitchen, bathroom and floors, because those are the things I'm the worst at keeping up with.

And over a grand to do this work. I got someone to cut the shelf out for a few bucks, went to Home Depot and they cut the wood and i drilled it in, wired it myself and had my brother in law help me lift it in. Cost me $100 and half a day of work. the quote did not include the painting I ended up doing myself too. Do your homework before go with any service. Not to say these gentlemen don't do quality work but they were far in left field with this quote.
