Then when the house was ready I called to schedule the cleaning and went over the expectations we had prior to listing the house for sale . Then they came back at $1,200+_. We felt against a wall to get the house ready and reluctantly agreed. They sent us a bill and told us they were finished. A few days later I looked at the house and notified them on some important areas that were missed. They said they would complete the following Sunday but didn't. Then they showed up after I contacted them again. One of the major items they did not clean well was the windows, a skylight that was missed, spider webs in the garage, and streaks in many windows and grout residue that looked like paint overspray. When I met them I was promised they would take care of all the issues. They stated they saw the grout issue and knew it was one of the issues they saw but failed to tell me about. I told them I would pay them now as they promised to come back to clean all the remaining items. As to the poor window cleaning, I didn't notice that till a few days later. When I called the husband of the lady I hired he made me feel like I was making things up vs offering to help out. I sent him pictures and he got defensive and rude. I let it go as to the windows. However, the rest of the items were never completed! When I asked when they were returning they asked me for paying them for the time they spent on finishing items they missed. I was unhappy and then the husband contacts me and made threats and accused me of harassment. I only wanted them to complete what I paid extra for. I actually hate leaving this note on yelp but thus person cares more about their being right than taking care of their customers , They left us feeling taken advantage of and ruined what could have been a positive yelp review. I don't think it was even fifteen minutes. (And this was a Sunday!) Also, he was willing to come to Santa Cruz, which was a significant drive. And his quote was reasonable. We were promptly in agreement and had a date set I had lived in my place for 42 years(!). Still, Otto made my place look fresh and clean and ready for new folks. (In fact, I received a refund of my entire deposit, given with no follow-up work needed and with good comments from the property manager.) He was thorough and careful, and he did everything we discussed. I checked in on him by phone a couple of times, but he worked on his own -- and when we returned to look around and pay him, the place was perfect. Not one thing remained to be done. For example, Otto swept the ceilings and the walls, which I probably would not have thought of but which did need doing, after forty-two years. :-) The appliances and fixtures sparkled. The floors were spotless, and so were the windows. Otto just did a super job. In my opinion, it could not have been better. In addition, he's a very nice guy. :-) He gets my highest rating, and I will definitely use him again.
