They assigned this company to use a week ago, told us to contact them and make an appointment. I call to make the appointment after the 4th of July holiday, the following Tuesday and was told I could not make an appointment that the contractor would call me when they got to my number or place in line, that's fair I thought. Mine you they never ask who I was or what the problem was. I ask if I could tell where I was on the list and they said that they had no way of knowing, strange. Now I am worried because you have no idea who we are, what our problem is, and did not seem to be bother with taking down our information. I have used American Home Shield for years and never had this problem. We called back and was told that everyone wants their AC fixed right now and was left in awe at how it did not seem important to this so call company that we are in triple digits here in Texas, with a home that is at 95 degrees inside, which is why we are concerned. Not to mention that there are medical reasons to worry about as well. This was just the first two days of calling in which we did understand that others may have been in the same situation as we were in at the time. We just wanted to have an idea of the possible timing so that we could make plans to safe guard our family from the heat and no AC. However, we could never get anything from Arctic Air but "I can't tell you when and that they were working on AC issues that were overdue, due to the 4th of July. American Home Shield assigned us to them on July 1st at 11pm that night. We called back on day three and was told that they would contact us in 24 hours, never got the call. When we tried to call back after the 24 hours they no longer picked up. On July 7th My husband call American Home Shield and reported the issue and they reassigned us someone else with hopes of getting us help right away at this point. With all of this being said, I would have like a disposition from Arctic Air, letting me know up front that it may take a week or two to get to us. Instead I was waiting daily for information that I never received. They did not seem to be prepared when they were assigned this contract through American Home Shield. As of today, I found out that a good number of people have recently had problems with Arctic Air in Copperas Cove Texas. I am just happy that American Home Shield took the contract back and reassign us. Do not use Arctic Air Service & Maintenance in Copperas Cove Texas its not worth it. After 30 minutes it was decided that the compressor was not running and a hard start kit was installed. AC up and running. It was also decided that there was too much R22 (over charged) and Cody took care of that and had the system back on line blowing cold air again. Once again he explained it all as he went along and answered all my questions. I signed a yearly maintenance contract to have Airheads maintain for me. Just awesome quick service with a great tech. Needless to say, the technician called ahead of arrival and since I could not take the call, they skipped our service call, which forced us to spend the night in 85 degree interior temp. I called in the evening asking why the tech did not arrive as planned and did not even get a response until 12pm the next day. By then, I had found a much more reputable service company and my issue was fixed. Encourage you to think twice before using this company. There are so many good ones out there and this one cannot compete.

The guys who installed the system were right on time, very friendly and were done when they said they'd be. They even swept up the dust in my house after putting a seal around the vents. Bart came back the next day to check on the system and to set up surge protectors on the equipment. The price was well under my other quotes and I really appreciated the "paid in full discount" they offered. I'm going to sign up for an annual service from the company as well. Feeling a bit insulted, we ignored his opinion and thanked the tech for his assistance. I called Ellis again September of 2025 because my unit again was not cooling. Ellis sent another technician, who advised again our unit was "cheap" and the compressor needed to be replaced, and we did not have a warranty. Ellis quoted $3200.00 to replace the compressor, or, $3600.00 for a new unit. We questioned this because we just purchased this home in 2022, so we researched our unit ourselves. We scanned the QR code on the back of our unit which immediately reflected a full warranty through 2031. I was able to contact the company who installed the unit. They immediately came out and confirmed the compressor had not failed but we had a clogged filter dryer. $150.00 later our "cheap" unit is working perfectly! CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!

On Aug 4 I contacted Mike @ his cell number that was given to me by my daughter who had him do some…read morework at her place of employment. Her and I have had several jobs done by Michael @ Patriot Plumbing in the past. I asked her for the number to Michael, thinking it was Michael @ Patriot Plumbing. In her phone directory she had Mike and Michael. The first one that came up was Mike. I needed cast iron drain replaced that had been previously replaced by the homes previous owner and bypassed with PVC outside of the wall. One of Mike's professed plumbers showed up with a rookie helper that knew virtually nothing about plumbing to do the job. The plumbing to be replaced was in the crawl space under the house. Neither plumber or helper ever wore shoe covers to walk in and out carrying tools and equipment to the crawl space to do the job. One of the things needed to do the job was PVC for the drain. Rather than measure and cut the PVC on the back patio where they had all of their equipment, the helper was told to take the 8/10 foot piece of drain PVC through the house to a hallway leading to the entrance to the crawl space, there to be cut as need with a saw, leaving the PVC dust on the floor. When the new PVC drain was finally re-routed inside the inside wall it was protruding 3/4 inch outside the wall studs, which he estimated to be only 1/4 inch at the time that would not interfere with the sheetrock. The reason it stuck out was that the angled fittings were not aligned before they were glued. I told him that was OK at the time so I could get him and his helper out of the house and I could fix that mess. He said he leak-checked it but he never turned the water back on until he was headed to the unmarked truck when he said he would turn the water back on. I replaced the sheetrock by placing 3/4 inch furring strips on all the studs on that wall. After the wall was finished we moved the washer and dryer back into the utility room to hook them up only then did we discover that the washer access panel for the water and drain hose were not installed properly in that they did not cut out the plug for the drain hose to fit into the drain. We managed to cut out the hole that was supposed to be done before installation according to installation instructions for that cheap access panel. When the cost of $1970.00 was above my daily limit for my debit card I called Mike and told him I could not pay with my debit card, I would have to wright a check. He said he was on the road and would meet me at the DQ and asked me what vehicle I would be driving. I wrote the check for $2000.00 even cause I am 83 years old and don't want to figure out how to get that many words on the amount line. I made the check to the plumbing company that I thought I was dealing with because of the wrong phone number I was given up front and both were run by Mike and Michael. When I arrived at the DQ a man walked up to the truck and said hi. I said who are you, I don't know you. He said he was Mike from the plumbing company. I had made out the check to the plumber I thought I was dealing with and he said that was not his company. I told him I would make out another check and he said to leave the pay to part of the check blank. I am still waiting for my bank statement to see who it was payed to. After that day my e-mail started receiving requests for payment from My Plumbing Company a project of All My Services a Private Membership/Ministry Association for Invoice#001135 for $1970.00 that was considered a donation. It is now 17 days after that check was written and I called Mike back and asked about the e-mails and he said something to the effect of he forgot to mark that paid. Dealing with this outfit has been a nightmare that I am just glad to put behind me. Do not recommend ever using this plumbing company or what ever it is to do anything.
