Open Sunday is a super plus. Came in around noon as walk-in waited just around 10 minutes. Hair cut and beard trim around $45 way on the high side. Nothing special about the beard trim no hot towel no straight razor cut on beard. If you are in a situation that reeeaalllyyy need a haircut on Sunday got for it. Verrryy pricy! I walked in and asked for prices and a lady with blonde hair told me $50 for haircut and blowout but I just wanted my ends cut so I asked what was the cheapest and she said "we've been here for 20 years and so on and how I shouldn't put a price on doing something for myself." Then she rudely says if you want go with the chinitas (Asians in Spanish) across the street they charge $15-$20. Like I literally just wanted to know how much I'd pay and I asked nicely! Tanya and Linda....two of the most evil women I've met. Not sure if its because im black or because im black. I set a Sunday appointment by calling Linda, she said come in at 3, when i arrived she said i wasnt allowed in. I asked why and she told me that she got shit to do. I said this is ridiculous and is the manager available she said no but you can call her on Tuesday. Called Tanya tuesday to express my thoughts and apparently Linda debriefed her and said i called her a bitch. Im married attend church regularly with 3 girls. Maam, thats the last thing i would call you. I said it was ridiculous and that was it. Tanya told me im no longer allowed there and will call her husband and the police if i showed up there again. I have known and have been getting my haircut from this shop for many years. But to be honest I have gotten my haircut at other barbershops as well now that I live out in Spring for the last couple of years now. I have driven back to Rosenberg my last 2 haircuts because I can't find better barbers then at All Star Barber Shop. Tanya, Linda and the rest of the crew are always on point. The price might be higher than what you might be normal to but you do get what you pay for and that's why I drive from Spring for a cut. Prices are too high for haircuts that are just average. I didn't like how my toddlers hair was cut I'm guessing this isn't a place for toddlers and preschoolers. I'd rather pay the money at a place for this age group and get a better experience. read more

It would be nice if I could give this "clip joint" negative stars. But 1 star is the minimum. Did I receive a nice cut? Yes, definitely. So why am I angry? Because they are dishonest; liars, crooks, whatever. The cost of a haircut there is $12. They charged me $14. Why? Because my hair was long!!! I am not making this up. They seriously said because my hair was long, not a 'touch-up', they had to charge more. Unbelievable. Nowhere in the shop was a sign warning of this surcharge. Nor was I informed prior to the haircut. This is at best unethical and, I think, illegal. Since I didn't want to create a scene at the shop & was due somewhere else, I paid grudgingly. My only recourse now is to file a complaint with the BBB and hopefully the Rosenberg Chamber of Commerce. Please avoid these crooks at all costs and go to Magic Scissors on 2313 Avenue H instead. They are nice, HONEST, people there. read more

Took my son here a few months ago and because it was 3:00 pm on a Friday I called ahead to make an appointment but was told if I made an appointment it was automatically $25. I asked what if I don't make an appointment how much is the cost for a 7 year olds hair cut? They told me it all depended on the type of cut and who cuts it. Since I was pressed for time I went ahead and took my son without an appointment and waited about 10 mins, I ended up paying like $27 with tip which was way more than I wanted to spend for a 7 year old when other places charge between $5 and $12, the only difference I saw is they used a straight razor to clean up the front and his neck. I've been going here for the past year, showing up on time and tipping generously. Tanya has been cutting hair for many years and is--skill wise--one of the best barbers in town. On the contrary her attitude and the way she conducts her business is underwhelming. Simply put, Tanya is RUDE. I have been going to her shop consistently for the past year bypassing her attitude for her talent. But today is the last day. Wish this wasn't the case, but sadly it is. She maintains a brash attitude with loyal customers and employees for no reason at all. Secondly, she charges for everything. Side burns, parts, ect. (and still expects a tip afterward). You could easily walk out of her shop paying $40-50 for a simple cut & shave. All the while getting treated like crap and hustled for everything little incentive i.e., hair products, parts ect. Lastly, it's 2016! If you don't have a Credit Card Machine or a Smart Credit Card Reader you're going to lose out on tons of business. I'm charged a 3 dollar fee each time I run to the ATM; not to mention the inconvenience. None of these are good business practices that will take your company from good to great. Stop treating your employees and customers like criminals. Read the other reviews, there is one constant trait people complain about--YOUR ATTITUDE. read more

Worst Barbershop I have ever been too. Way overpriced Barbers cant cut I went in after work and i called before to make an appointment. She told me that was fine. So when i got there the place is too small and overcrowded. after about and hour and a half I finally took a seat in the barber chair but realized she was already going to be closing. i figured she wasnt going to cut my hair but she did. The whole time this lady was flirting with me and rubbing herself all over me. Very unprofessional!! Half way through i realized she did my edge up way too high. She said she would fix it but to no avail. Finally i was done and she said that will be 25 dollars plus tip. i was in shock!!!! i said why so much? She explained that there was a 5 dollar charge for appointment fee and that there was also a 5 dollar charge for being in the chair after closing hours. I was blown away and refused to pay the 10 dollars for the appointment and chair fee. i left the 15 dollars and walked out. I work out of town and needed an emergency haircut. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT GO TO THIS SO CALLED BARBERSHOP. She explained that everyone else doesnt mind paying 25 dollars for haircuts. Well she must have people rolling in money walking in here.
