Absolutely EXCELLENT service! Jeb called me 1/2 hour before and came right on time. He walked through and evaluated the carpets and gave me the options. Was not pushy at all and really listened to my thoughts. He explained the process and did an excellent job with the carpets. Because he owns the company, he was very adamant that I am happy with how the carpets turn out. They have a satisfaction guarantee and will come back to clean again if I'm not happy. But I am very happy! I came to learn this really is FAMILY run business with him and his dad being the owners, and the sweet lady on the phone doing the scheduling is Grandma! I was going for a bargain but you get what you pay for. The man who came out tried to upsell and talk me into power cleaning instead of steam cleaning. Our carpet was in good shape and I did not want harsh power scrubbers. We had 5 rooms and stairs done, He was reluctant to pre-treat and was done in just over an hour. No furniture protectors were used because he didnt get close to areas where there were end tables or chairs. He missed stains which I then got out with my Little Green Bissell spot machine. The last time we had carpets cleaned, the man spent over 2 hrs on them. I would not use All Star again. read more

I hired All Star Carpet Cleaning to clean my new house before moving in and my rental property between renters. First of all, Dave is one of the most friendly small business owners I've met - super nice, talkative and professional. I actually hired his company for two jobs at once. He cleaned my new house prior to moving in, and I was pretty impressed - but this is not the reason I am taking the time to write the review. Its the magic he worked on my Rental Property - which I myself lived in for the last year. The prior renters had some pets and there were several stains that a different carpet cleaning company could not get up. I could not get them up either. Unfortunately, I walked by this stain in my carpet for the past year - seriously planning to rip up the carpet and replace it. I asked Dave if he could work a miracle - fully expecting him to say that the stain was in too long, or he tried as best he could but could not get it up. That was not the case. My carpet looks brand new. What was once a house which obviously had pets in it, had become a new place - with no signs or smells of pets whatsoever. I am really amazed and impressed. Don't waste your time! The add on their website says 2 rooms, up to 400 square for $60. The guy showed up and tried to tell me that my two rooms were more than 400 square feet and would require $30 more. Then he tried to up sell me (my husband called it the bait and switch) with enzymes and power scrubbing. The final estimate was close to $400. Be prepared for a bunch of BS about "all of the extra stuff" on your carpet. Yes, we have a dirty carpet - it is why we wanted it cleaned. read more

The guy who is the owner was rude when I didn't want to upgrade my service to remove stains that many others have tried to remove and couldn't. The work was the worst I've ever had. Dave was able to come to my home on short notice. He cleaned two large rooms and in no time they looked amazing. He was very passionate about the cleaning process and told me much better the latest carpet cleaning equipment he used was for the environment. It also uses less water and recycled cleaning pads. We bought a foreclosed house that had been vacant for two years -- except squatters. In the meantime the squatters had tracked mud, leaves and all kinds of other stuff onto the carpet throughout the house. We didn't have much hope many of the rooms could be salvaged but wanted it cleaned in the meantime to see what could be saved and make sanitary in the meantime. Dave came through and gave an estimate and did not many guarantees on the worst rooms. He came on time, and the first thing he did was lower this cost a bit. He and Jason spent 8 hours the first day and another couple hours the next day double scrubbing each room. When they were done I was shocked how good it looked. Many of the rooms looked like brand new carpet, most of the worst came out and looked great. The work saved us thousands of dollars in new carpet. I needed an area rug cleaned and another company quoted $500 for the job. All Star came out for $125 and did a wonderful job. Another friend just used them for her whole house 2600 sf and I was super surprised when they did not try to ask for more money (she had a angies list coupon she bought). He did a wonderful job on her home for the quoted price and she is very pleased. They have a super high rating on Angies list so I am not sure why the bad experiences here, but I guess you can't make everyone happy. I will be referring them in the future. read more

They were helpful and courteous from the moment I rang to see about having them clean my carpets. It was easy to schedule a convenient time. He arrive promptly as expected. He walked me through the house before I had to commit telling me which stain were likely to come up and which were not. Despite having a large area 2500sqft across 8 rooms he did not rush, got many of the stains out he thought might not come out. The entire experience was professional from the time I booked the service, to keeping us informed of a slight appointment delay, the technician was thorough and discussed what he was going to do and what chemicals he was using (we have dogs thus very concerned). There was an issue post service that caught us and the owner Dave Norton off guard. The issue was most concerning because we were having the carpets cleaned just before we were to put our house on the market, I was very upset and Dave offered to come to Sammamish to personally review the work. The issue was one Dave had never encountered, we could not determine if the issue was from the service (negligence) or was a latent one that became visible after the service itself. Dave was stumped and while we could not say one way or the other what the cause was he was up front and offered us a partial refund. The courteous manner and integrity he demonstrated, his understanding of my distress, was exemplary, was unexpected - I thought there was going to be protracted issue - I was more than pleasantly surprised, I was grateful. The fact that he wanted to work with us and resolve our concerns was refreshing. He was kind, empathetic, and clearly focused on insuring his customers have a great experience as well as providing a terrific service. We had our carpets cleaned and the job turned out ok but I couldnt seem to get an answer on the method used.I didnt understand about the hand-held pre-sprayer that was used ,wether it was the only soap used or if the solution was an animal sanitizer.I couldnt get an answer if the main cleaning soap solution was mixed in with the truck mounted water tank.We were told that the water from the truck was just hot water.Also no answer as to the temperature of the water.I used these units 35 years ago and was comparing my knowledge and experiance from then,but in todays time, I dont think I got what I was expecting.I had questions but didnt get any answers. read more

Purchased a "deal" offered on another website for 3 rooms of carpet cleaning for $89, including "cleaning, deodorizing, sanitizing, spot removal, application of protectant" . . .Once at the house, they claimed the "deal" only included steam cleaning and not any soap, cleaner, additives, or "protectant" (as promised in the text of the deal). How does one deodorize, remove spots, and apply protectant without using cleaner or some other additive (for which they charged extra)? That's assuming generously that "cleaning" and "sanititzing" can reasonably be understood to mean only steam cleaning without any cleaner, which I think is doubtful. They were brusque to the point of rude. It was a bait and switch--come on with a low price for very little and then gouge you once you're hooked. Actually having them add things like cleaner was another $164! Previous cleaners have placed small foil squares under furniture legs to prevent spotting or staining. Nope, not this cleaner. They refused to move any furniture at all, which every other cleaner I ever used did. Cleaners arrived 1.5 hours early-some may think that a plus, others a minus. Will never ever even think about using them again. read more
