This is by far the best place to get a massage. I'm not a massage person (they rarely do anything for me. And most of the time, I feel as if my wife could offer the same quality --and she is no massage therapist). I came to Allstar massage because of three things: 1) my left trapezius was in terrible pain from over working it (from working out and having a desk job that forced me to sit and design all day long), that I couldn't lift my left arm up past my chest. 2) This place had wonderful reviews, so I thought, "Why not? Couldn't be worse than the others." 3) And finally, it has a one $ for the price! First thing I want to say is that this place is NOT a one $. It's not overly expensive, at $75 for a combination massage, but it's no $29 for an hour like at Massage Envy (horrible place to get a massage in my opinion. But that's for another day). What you WILL get is someone who is HIGHLY knowledgable and have been at it for awhile. And that's really all I'm looking for. I had Terry and she was amazing! I told her about my trapezius problem and she knew about all the muscles that connected to it that was also a cause of the problem and concentrated on those as well as my trapezius. None of this "let me try this mew fangled technique where I just test my palm slight on your hip to ease you into nirvana..." BS. Just pure proven, scientific, technique and knowledge. I've had problems with my trapezius before and it usually takes a little over two months to heal, but seeing Terry twice in a span of two weeks healed it up in half the time. I was blown away! I told my wife about it and brought her along for my 3rd visit (she also is not a fan of getting massages), and she was also highly impressed with her massage (she had Marina). I can't say if anyone else is as great as Terry (only person I've gotten massages from there) or Marina (my wife loves her), but I can say that this is the only massage center that I've come back to. Just a wonderful place with a great staff. UPDATE: Terry wasn't available, got Cheryl and she was...AMAZING! So knowledgable and precise with her massages. With a Groupon now coupon for a 30 min facial and 30 min massage, I made two appts for me and my sister to celebrate her birthday. Not only were they able to get us in together, we got to share a room and they customized our package so we both got 60 min facials and just skipped the massage. Very accomodating! I got my facial from Joni and she was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about products and gave a wonderful face, neck, arm and foot massage as part of the facial. My face glowed after the treatment and didn't feel coated with beauty product goo like some of the other facials I've had. I will DEFINITELY be going back. FYI: finding this business can be difficult. Drive west on NE 8th and turn into the parking lot at the Pump House restaurant. Then drive all the way to the back of the parking lot, where there is a lot of brush until you come to a small lake. I don't even know how else to say it except this place can fix me in one visit. Friendly, honest, and truly deserving of the term ALL STAR. The best Chiropractic care I have found. Other places I have gone have administered what I would call "slow drip" care, where the real goal is to keep you coming back as many times as possible. They push, they stretch, do that little clicky thing and talk your ear off about all the problems you have and what an emergency it is that you come in twice a week. And their prices are astronomical! Don't be suckered, don't fall for the x-ray trick, or the package sales pitch. If you are like me then you are in a lot of pain and you need help ASAP. Dr. Tom Schwartz is one of a kind. He's a sensitive doctor who is also a good listener. For approx. 20 years, I have dropped in for Chiropractic care. He assesses my condition and goes to work to find a solution. My most recent back malfunction came with level 10 discomfort. In two sessions, I am "back" to being mobile. Nowadays its hard to find a massage thearpist who really can relieve your physical injuries. I have been to All Star Massage many times and can say that everytime is excellent. There office is calming, their staff is helpful and all their massge thearpist have had at least 5 years experience plus. The thearpist are constantly educating themselves in new massage methods. When I went here, there was horrible customer service, the front desk receptionist laughed at me when I was asked to be billed because I found out my insurance did not cover the service. I went in for a work related injury and the doctor spent less than five minutes on me and I felt worse when I left. I went to another chiropractor the next day, and he told me that my back was severely inflamed and explained my problem to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go any where else. This is a great little SPA, perfect for a quick escape to treat yourself. I've gotten a few body treatments here and LOVE it! It's very cozy, and the staff is very kind and professional. I highly recommend Sarah. She is so personable and very thorough when performing the treatments. Sarah always makes me feel very comfortable and she is always very kind. I have been seeing Dr. Tom for quite a few years. Dr. Tom is a very calming, friendly chiropractor with many years of experience. What I like the most about Dr. Tom is that he truly seems to care, always has a pleasant smile, and takes a lot of time to adjust each patient. It doesn't have that "cattle" (in and out) feel like some doc's offices. He even uses a "Thumper" (really high end electric massager) to loosen up your muscles before he does his adjustments, which is such a nice added touch. I really dig Dr. Tom and am glad he takes Regence insurance. read more

I purchased a groupon for 3 M'lis, herbal or mud body wraps. The first time I came in it was nice, I would give it 5 stars, I wish I could remember the lady's name who helped me because she was wonderful! I decided to get the mud wrap and she was awesome, so kind and friendly, gave me choices and made sure the room was warm. The last two times I came in, I had the same person who did not seem like she wanted to be there. She didn't ask me what kind of mud I wanted and I got this pine needle minty kind of mud that made me feel cold the entire time but she said it is her favorite because of the way it smells.Yes, it smells nice, but something about the mint or pine needle makes you freeze! And you stay in the body wrap for a long time, not just the first five minutes which is kind of bearable. I wanted to get get out of the wrap and into the shower to warm up. The last time I came in, I wanted to be with someone else, but she said she is the only one available. So I went to see her my last time (3rd groupon) I requested to not have the minty pine needle mud and she told me that was the only kind they had and they are out of everything else. I immediately wanted to leave. But this was my last groupon, I made an effort to drive out there and so I decided to do it. I also wish I could remember her name so I can let management know. When she started to put the mud on me, she used up the last of it, I felt like she had lied to me just so she can use up the rest of that mud. Maybe she wasn't but from her demeanor, she didn't seem like she wanted to be there, she used gloves the entire time unlike the first person who actually gave me a good massage and a choice of what kind of mud I wanted. One day after desperately needing a massage I Searched local businesses close to my work and stumbled upon all star. I've been going to all star for about 6 months now and have been impressed by many things, some in-particular which I think set this spa apart from others. My work schedule is very inconsistent and I really LOVE the fact that there are so many great massage therapists at the clinic in network with my insurance, they are normally able to fit me in short notice when I need to come and haven't planned it into my schedule. Theresa and starla are two of my favorites to see although I've had massages from three other people as well and have never had a bad massage. The first time I saw theresa she was able to look at and touch my back and pin point where I was in pain without me even saying anything! she does a asian type massage on me which is incredible!!Ive also had great deep tissue massages with starla. One day I had called around 5pm hoping there would be a chance for a 6:00 pm massage as I was in excruciating pain. No one was available and Starla was off work for the day but decided to come in just for my massage! At this point I had only had a massage from her two pervious times. I work in customer service and that service she provided to me was above and beyond my expectations!! Rarely now days do people go out of their ways for someone they barely know, so I was truly blown away. After hearing good things about the massages at All Star I decided to get a referral for Starla. I have really bad neck pain and back pain and my muscles are stiff and really needed to be worked on. Everything seemed nice enough when I got there, but when the massage started I knew something was wrong. She first had me lay on my back so she could sit and work on my neck (all the other therapists I've been to do this in the last 15 minutes of the massage). She started massaging my neck with very little pressure, I could hardly feel anything. The more time that went by the slower and lighter she got until all of a sudden she stopped altogether. I thought she stopped to grab more lotion, but when I didn't hear anything I opened my eyes to see what was up. That's when I noticed that she had drifted off to SLEEP!! I couldn't believe it!!! When she awoke she muttered something about the soft music and proceeded with the massage, but the damage had been done. I couldn't relax after that because I feared she might fall asleep again. And I actually think she did at another point during the massage. Her strokes were so slow and light it felt like i didn't even receive a proper massage. It was totally unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. I'm contacting my Dr. to get a referral somewhere else. I will NOT be returning here. read more
