Anthony the manager is a low life scammer. He'll over charge you and won't give you required paperwork and time logs. The receipt says they got a call to get my car towed at 11am, they towed my car off my property at 11:45am then my car got to their yard at 12:10pm but they lied and said 12:30pm. They charged me the rate from 11am to 12:30pm. California vehicle code 22658 says they must only charge once the truck leaves my property and gets to the tow yard. Which is 45 minutes from 11:45am to 12:30pm. But instead they charged me from the first phone call to when my car got to the tow yard- 1.5 hrs. This is illegal, I told the manager at the office about the law and vehicle code and he didn't give me a proper explanation and lied about the rate and began making a bunch of excuses. The local police station said this was illegal. They're a bunch of weird looking, lying overweight scumbags that can't make a living without stealing people's money. read more

Contacted USAA for towing, they sent out this firm, after a four hour wait. My car was to be towed to a mechanic and I provided the contact number of the mechanic for when the truck arrived. Shortly after I got a message from them stating that "your driver is currently outside." I responded, shortly after, and got a message that the vehicle was in storage due to the customer not answering at the drop off. The kicker is that it was not possible to have the car in storage by the time i received that information (and called to follow up) if the car was present at the mechanic's location when the first message was received. This firm willfully and deliberatly stole my vehicle with the intent to hold it for ransom. I am following up with USAA with the intent to respond in a manner wholly appropriate for the Grand Theft Auto committed. read more

I had to wait nearly 4 hours for towing services that never came. in the end i decided to switch to a different service provider who did provide promt service. whe calling to get updates the individual on the line refused to give a name. Did not ask for my information including name, phone number and proceeded to respond with telling me that the wait time was 90 mins. When I informed the customer service representative that I had already waited 2 1/2 hours they said sorry but my driver is working on two other cases so you're just gonna have to wait without providing a more accurate ETA. in the end, I waited an additional hour and a half before I was able to just find a different towing company who could help. Although I completely empathize that it is a Saturday and they may have a limited drivers and a heavy case load customer services of upmost importance, especially when you're dealing with a company who provides a service to people who are an obvious need of help. We don't call the tow truck company on our best days. We often call a tow truck company after having an accident or after dealing with some kind of car malfunction. The least one should expect when calling to speak to customer service representative is a little bit of empathy and kindness. Due to the extremely long wait times, and the horrible customer service I am giving this organization a one star review. read more

I wish I could give them zero. This is a terrible towing service provider. I needed a towing service so call my insurance company and they assigned me this towing company. Although I waited more than 3 hours outside, no one came and they kept delaying the ETA about another 67 minutes again and again. I called them but they did not answer the phone and I was connected one lady one time but she was super rude and said you just need to wait! And hung up on me. After about 3 and a half hour, I decided to cancel my towing request through my insurance company and switched a local private towing company and they arrived in 10 minutes. My car needed to be towed from my house to a muffler repair shop because it had its catalytic converter stolen. I went through my insurance company to get this set up. I assume they went through Agero (company who handles setting up tows for many insurance companies nation-wide) who then contacted All Star Towing. I informed my insurance company that my car was a 4WD vehicle, and would need to be towed on a flatbed truck because towing it with the front wheels off the ground and the rear rolling will damage the 4WD system (as per Honda service managers as well as the owner's manual). I was out of town when the tow happened. So on 8 Nov 2022 the driver showed up 8 hours late to the appointment that was set up. He came with a normal truck. Not a trailer or a flatbed. My wife once again told him that the Honda Element was 4WD and needed to be towed on a flatbed. He proceeded to tell her that as long as the front wheels don't move it'll be fine. WRONG. This is exactly what causes damage to the system. My wife, not wanting to push the issue with this "professional" let him leave. Well, they ended up towing the car for an hour at highway speeds to what they thought was the muffler shop. Well, either their dispatch or Agero plugged in the address wrong for the muffler shop. They entered 151 Main St instead of 151 W Main street. Something a simple google search would have fixed. Then they claim they tried to call my wife. Problem is that their dispatch was too lazy to enter the correct phone #. They had it as (111) 111-1111. Who in their right mind thinks that this is an actual phone number?? Long story short, after the cat was replaced the car was taken to Honda who found that the rear differential was toast, and after a LOT of back and forth with Agero and contacting a lawyer, I received a check for $2,466.36 to replace the differential that was 100% damaged when this incompetent business towed my car. Don't EVER deal with these folks if you need a tow in the greater Sacramento area. read more

Absolutely the worst service imaginable! My husband waited for an hour and a half to get a tow back to our home as his car wouldn't start back up. This company was called around 6:30pm and only arrived after 8pm. We knew it wasn't a battery issue and told them as much. The employee decided to jump his car, regardless. This overrode the system and the car appear to start. Despite my husband's continued concern the driver decided to leave. As he was driving away, my husband noticed that the car was acting strangely and called the driver who told him to wait it out and proceeded to drive off. Not surprisingly, after 30 min of leaving the car on, it still would not drive. When my husband turned the car off, it wouldn't start. He called this driver again and they did not pick up. By this point in the saga, more than three hours had passed since the initial call. The parking lot where our car was locks down at 9:30 when security leaves, so we were forced to leave our car in this unguarded lot. I will hold Allstar towing liable should any vandalism occur. I unfortunately got stuck with them with my Road Side Assistance yesterday, when they were the first company to immediately pick up my order. Original wait estimate was an hour to hour and a half. Long story short, after four hours they never showed up. Where this story gets really weird is that after the first hour and a half, they would call me every 20 minutes pretending to be a driver on the way in 20 minutes. Why bother? Every other towing company shows in an hour. My second tow company was here in 45 minutes. If you are reading this, cancel the order and hire a different company. Malek, the driver knew immediately what needed to be done to get my bike up on the truck and keep it from moving. He was also very personable and incredibly nice. Awful doesn't even do this place justice. Their service is pathetic. I got a DUI, and called when I got out on Saturday. He said it's impossible to get my car until Monday. I do some digging and I found I can get my car whenever I want. He never told me about a gate fee until I called requesting that.
