She has catered for my wedding, my mom-in-laws Celebration of Life, and we have also gotten individual orders from her when she offers them (such as her Thanksgiving Pie selection - omg. We ordered Chef Dani's Pot Pie meal from her weekly menu. It was insanely delightful. The portions were sizable. Excellent value. We ordered two but ended up sharing one portion. Here's the scoop: The pot pie was delicious, the crust was pure perfection and, the rue and vegetables were incredibly tasty. The salad was perfectly crispy and, again, enough for two portions. Sadly, I started writing about the Whiskey Pecan Bread Pudding but immediately experienced a foodgasm causing me to not be able to focus on my typing. Holy-moly, the bread pudding was divine! Mildly sweet and not over-sugared, the whiskey sauce with bits of pecan, was a perfect complement. We microwaved it for 10 seconds (I know, I know, sacrilegious), then added a scoop of Haagen-Dazs (only the best and pure ingredients, as if the dessert wasn't good enough on its own), the rest I can't remember because it went down so fast. I was looking for a caterer for my son's graduation reception and found Chef Dani online. I booked her for paella and a grazing table based on the reviews and pictures on her Instagram page. I kept my fingers crossed that I made the right choice since I had no idea how the food was going to taste. The day of the event arrived and I was so happy! I have been to several parties catered by the Amazing Dani, and she has never disappointed. From setup to cleanup her whole operation is impeccable. First off her food is amazing! Most prepared food tastes packaged or bland, but Dani's dishes are just as warm and tasty as her spirit is. In my own humble opinion, one of her best dishes is her lamb chops. They are seriously to die for. She serves them medium rare and includes a sweet bbq sauce for dipping. I can eat at least ten...and counting For dinner she knows how to please a crowd with a beautiful tri-tip that is perfectly medium rare. This tough 'n sweet blondie also makes a delicious broccolini. Tender and garlicky, it's the perfect summer side. If I haven't convinced you yet that you need Dani's food in your life, then just take a leap of faith and just try it (though I assure you there's no leap to take). Her professionalism is inspiring. The way she's able to direct guests while cooking ten things at once is a feat in its own and she does it so effortlessly - doesn't even break a sweat! Dani catered my wedding on October 23, 2019. One of the more important things for my husband and I was delicious food for our family and friends (second being good booze, lol!). This is a review that is long overdue. Chef Dani catered our 50-person wedding at a private residence in San Clemente at the end of September, and I can't tell you how amazing she, her staff, and the food that she prepared was. Chef Dani was easy to talk to and menu planning was fun. She had dozens of choices to choose from and really helped us decide on our final menu, even though making a decision on the food was very difficult with so many yummy choices! She came onsite a few days before our wedding to survey our kitchen and staging areas. Then she made sure we had a plan for where tables were going to be set and reviewed the overall timing of the event. Where do I even start. AMAZING! Dani is incredible and made it so easy to work with. She takes into account every detail and goes above and beyond every expectation. From beginning to end I could not ask for better service. She was always quick to respond to emails, calls, and text. The tasting was incredible! Even my now husband, who is a picky eater, loved everything she made for us. The food was just as amazing at the event as it was at the tasting. We just had a wedding for about 70-75 guest and she killed it! From the beautiful Charcuterie display of fresh fruit, cheese, meats, and crackers to the passed appetizers of chicken verde tacos, crab cakes, and ahi. Perfection! Then to dinner where she was so kind to accommodate serving the tables family style. We started with a summer salad with pears and bread baskets where I asked if we could include a bread similar to the brown bread at cheesecake factory (my favorite bread) and that is exactly what she did. Dinner included asparagus, carrots and roasted corn, salmon that was cooked to perfection and was a big hit, Herb Encrusted Beef Tenderloin again cooked perfectly, and Truffle mashed potatoes YUM! Dessert included mini tiramisu (my favorite!), cheesecake (my husband's favorite!) and beautiful berry, peach, and apple pies. Besides the food, Dani's sister bartended. besides the normal beer, wine, and regular mixers we also had two fresh mixes of cucumber mint and strawberry basil that the guest then could pick what liquor they wanted with. I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was with Chef Dani. I read the flawless reviews here and upon reaching out and speaking with her, I booked her to cater a heavy app open house for the night before my sister's memorial. We knew that quite a few people were coming in from out of town, but did not know exactly how many people would drop in. We also were navigating trying to make it feel casual and organic, yet nice and warm. Dani and her team were fantastic. I was very busy leading up to that evening, and not able to give her a tremendous amount of input. She took my input and executed exactly what I had hoped for.
