After calling a couple of other places, including one that installed a ductless unit in another part of the home, they were out the next day. After an initial diagnosis by Mike (the owner I later learned) determined the issue could be the thermostat. A quote for a replacement was sent the next morning, and scheduled for the next day. When I received the quote, along with it was a story about the company itself. Devon came out to install the thermostat and had it done quickly. I went with a WiFi until and after connecting it to the home network had some more issues. They were back out the next day and after a few hours of troubleshooting between Devon and Mike found there was a simple wiring issue in the crawl space. A few things that set this company apart for me. They are local and a family business, came the next day, met their promises of when they would arrive, checked with me to make sure it was okay to wait for the install and subsequent repairs, and were super friendly and kept me informed. I signed up for the annual maintenance plan to save money. He made good recommendations based on my needs and concerns of my allergies. Much appreciated! 2026 update - our heat pump stopped working and needed replacement parts. I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Kudos to the office staff, Brittny, Erin and everyone who took my calls while I was eagerly waiting for parts & repair. They treated me very kindly and proactively communicated each step of the way. I had to call them five times before they finally sent someone. Turns out the salesman hadn't secured the door properly, so the safety switch never engaged -- a super easy fix. We had a cold night with small kids in the house and they showed zero urgency fixing a problem they caused. Their quote was also the highest I got. I don't blame the salesman for the mistake, but the company doesn't stand behind their work at all. I'd never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Had another contractor add refrigerant in 2024 as it was running low and we suspect there is a leak somewhere due to improper installation. This year again, the refrigerant is running low. I had another contractor back to do a full inspection. They identified an improperly installed flare joint. Plus, all 4 machines' flare joints were not properly insulated. The hole through the walls were also not sealed at all. This sub-par installation costs thousands dollars of repairs within the 2.5 years since the system was installed and I'd rather pay someone a bit more to professionally install the system in the first place.

Their technician confirmed what we already suspected, and we were told the replacement part was back ordered until September 2025. After signing a contract, Dapper stopped communicating entirely. There were no updates, no follow-up, and no accountability. By October 2025 after months of silence, we cancelled the service and requested a refund. It is now December 2025, and despite repeated calls and constant reassurances that the refund is "being processed," nothing has been returned to us. At this point, their lack of communication, failure to honor the agreement, and ongoing delays have left us no choice but to involve legal counsel to recover the money we are owed. While their "contract" states 30% nonrefundable, I cannot accept that their failure to perform, bad faith, unjust enrichment, and potential breach of contract would be an excuse to have them keep the money that's rightfully ours. This experience has shown a clear disregard for customers, and we would strongly caution others before working with this company.
