My mother in law used them to install a mini-split in her townhouse and they did a great job! So after the summer she referred me to them as my wife and I were now doing a full house remodel and Rusty came out to get me an estimate. He was super friendly (as estimators/sales people are) and after we signed with them, their team really took care of my family. The project was a really big one -- two outdoor condensers connected to 9 different head units/zones throughout the home. Their team really went to work. No project this large ever goes perfectly, and when we ran into different issues they fixed it and made things right. Cool Heat 365 is a fantastic company to do business with. When we contacted a big HVAC company for an estimate on a new heat pump with three ductless zones, we were not sitting down when the estimate was presented. We fell over backwards in total shock. Then I contacted 'Cool Heat 365' and their estimate was one third lower than the first guy...for the same three-unit ductless design. Then Rusty, the owner, explained that our house would do well with two zones and brought the estimate down a little bit more. At 8:30 on the scheduled day, the crew showed up and each person had their specific job to do and they were done by noon. Not only was everything cleaned up when they left, but the crew had kept their work areas clean throughout the morning. They were all extremely polite and they worked well together as a team. When one person would finish their specific responsibility, they would jump to assist another of the crew. The electrician connected the power the next day and had it inspected and signed off before he left. As the finishing touch, Rusty stopped by and walked through the operation and maintenance of the system with us and offered an annual maintenance program that was also reasonably priced. I recommend Cool Heat 365 to everyone who is thinking about upgrading their home to a modern heat pump system. read more

Can I leave less than one star? I would if I could. We spent almost 20k with them two years ago. We've had some issues with the install. My wife called them repeatedly...like a couple of times a week for a few weeks, with no response. She finally gets through and speaks to someone today, and rather than actually try and help, they get snotty with her on the phone, and then just hang up on her. Who does that? This is extremely unprofessional. Forget that we spent that much money and they should stand by their work, they dont, you never treat anyone like that, ever! We found them at the home show in Monroe and scheduled another appointment - he called at the time he was supposed to arrive to push the time 1 1/2 hours - and I said no because we had another vendor already scheduled at that time. He showed up anyway as if he never heard a word I said over the phone. Third time missing appointments set an expectation that timelines don't matter to them and he doesn't respect my time... and I will never invite them back and will certainly never hire them even if they were the cheapest shop in town. read more

I was in need of installing a ductless heat pump in a bonus room above my garage that is now doubling as a home office. It gets very warm on sunny days even with all the windows open and a ceiling fan running. I called Cool Heat 365 on a Monday and Rusty was at the house that afternoon to give me options and a quote. I was happy with the price and his knowledge and put down the deposit that day. He originally quoted a week to have it installed but due to another job delayed was able to get me in Wednesday. I was also having my existing heat pump for the rest of the house serviced the same day. The crew arrived about an hour after originally quoted but Rusty called me that morning to explain why - an emergency with another customer. They explained what they were going to do. They were very careful with my home both inside and out. Used drop cloths, took their shoes off, attention to detail when hanging the unit and drilling the holes. And they cleaned everything up when they left. Rusty called me a couple of times to check in and see how I was doing after the installation. The unit has been working for a couple of days and couldn't be happier. I can actually work and breathe! It is quiet inside and out. About two years ago, our old heat pump system finally bit the dust just after going out of warranty. Since it was the compressor that died, the repair and/or replace options were expensive (especially since the compressor manufacturer had gone out of business). As our financial situation precluded making any decisions about it at the time, we sucked it up and endured last summer without any A/C. This Spring, we decided to take another look at our options. After some extensive research, it appeared that an economical solution might be to convert our old heat pump to an A/C-only system and continue using our gas furnace for heating. After researching several different equipment manufacturers' products, I settled on having a 4-ton Goodman unit installed. Not only are Goodman products manufactured in the USA, they use the latest technology that significantly surpasses our old heat pump system (which was promoted as "state-of-the-art" at the time). I contacted a few different HVAC companies, but most wanted to sell me a completely new and different system using their own preferred manufacturer which was substantially more expensive than what we could afford. Enter Cool Heat 365. Rusty understood our situation and worked with us to come up with a plan that was as least invasive as possible without sacrificing reliability. He worked up a quote that was significantly less expensive than any of the other options we were considering. We agreed on the first estimate he provided (I already had a good idea of what to expect from my own research), paid him half up-front and he scheduled his crew to come out to install it with minimal delay. Even though a few issues did crop up that took some more time and materials, Rusty worked them out with his installers and stuck by his original quote. The overall installation is fabulous and I am happy to report the unit has been working flawlessly for over a month now. We have comfortably made it through several stretches of hot days where the new unit easily handled the load for our 2,800+ s.f. home (even as I write this review it is well over 80 degrees outside). Cool Heat 365 not only provided an excellent quality A/C system at a good price, their fabulous crew installed it beautifully -- even better than the original heat pump system that it replaced. We used this company to have an AC unit installed and the next year it needed coolant - which it should not have - and by the next year it was broken completely. We spent thousands of dollars and will need to spend close to what we paid for the machine to get it fixed. The company moved and told us they would no longer service our home, even though we were under our service warranty those first two years. Now we learned the unit had been recalled and they still will not replace it or respond to emails. I have never written a bad review and feel very sad that this company has chosen to not help when we were under their warranty. read more

We called to confirm day before and morning of and we were told they were coming between 11-2pm... we called twice during that time block because it was already approaching 2pm and I waited all day for someone. Well they never showed up and they never called to say they were canceling. Clearly an unreliable company, disrespectful of our time. I'd give a lower rating if possible. This is probably the worst company I've ever worked with and I hope nobody else gets the rude pushy service that I got. I asked to have my heater diagnosed, I was NEVER told there would be a diagnostic/ estimate fee when I requested they come look at my heater. Then instead of sending one technician, they sent two, one recommended I just replace a simple fan motor, the other kept pushing me to buy an entire new system. This was a repair difference of $1,200+ to $4,500+ Then after discussing I would call them if I wanted to move forward with the work as I wanted to get a second opinion they automatically scheduled the repair and picked up the parts without any approval from me. I was nice and called the owner to let him know I didn't approve any of this work or purchase especially since I had found out their markup on the motor was 300% so that his tech didn't make an unnecessary trip to my house and I was met with not only hostility, but more sales push to get a new unit! After telling the owner several times I would not be buying a new unit, he decided to tell me that I was risking killing my family because the burners could go out any moment and release CO2 into the house. I'm sorry, but if that was really a concern, don't you think you should lead with that, not end with it?! I had two tech's at my house for 30min, only one of them did any "work" and I was charged $229 when I was told their labor rate was $180. After I questioned what I was being charged, they still charged me $189 for 30min of work. (tax was added to prices) I would never recommend any one to do business with this company. read more

They also hardly return calls and do not show up at specified times they claim or just don't show up the day they say at all. Last year my wife and I had central air conditioning installed in our home by Cool heat 365. I have tried at least 6 times this year to schedule a maintenance service. When I call, no one calls me back. Twice I did get ahold of Rusty and he told me we were on the list. It has bee over 2 months with no call back to schedule. They are obviously much more concerned about new installs then retaining customers. We will need a new furnace in the near future and I don't plane to call Cool heat 365 for an estimate. Our furnace was 31 years old and served us well since purchasing the house 22 years ago with little issue, until it just died. We were considering removing and rebuilding the unit since it was still operating at 88% efficiency but decided to see what a newer unit would cost. Cool Heat 365 was among 4 companies i had come out for estimates on replacing our heater. They were courteous and understood our needs for a quality unit and solid pricing. When we saw the estimate i realized it would be better and not that much more price wise to have a newer heating unit with a stainless heater box installed. Add to this the 'peace of mind' of having a 10 year manufacturers warranty (lifetime heater box) on the unit was a definite bonus. Our unit was located in a closet which made the replacement a bit more difficult. Dave was undeterred by the installation restrictions and was able to get a unit installed within days of us saying Go! He has competent, courteous, clean and well trained techs working for him. They were able to remove, repair, seal duct work and install the heater within 4 hours on the installation day. I don't expect to see them for any more repairs or work to the house in the near future. If we install an AC unit in the future, i will give them the first call and crack at it. I had 3-4 previous estimates to remove an old HVAC and install a new HVAC and they came in with the best price and helped me find an energy efficiency loan that was a 5 min process to apply for. I was approved in one day and Randy was scheduled to come the next week. When they arrived, my unit was so old that there were some unforeseen surprises for them to get over. They were their way over the time they allocated for the install because of all the hurdles they had to overcome. Randy and his install partner worked until the system was working and all set up. This is an update to my review of 9/27/2019. A couple of days after posting it, I received a phone call from Daniel of Cool Heat 365. He said Rusty had mentioned my review and wanted Daniel to call me. He was concerned about the negative review and asked if I would be willing to change it...I said "No, because what I had said in the review was true...however, if they were willing to address unresolved issues and correct them, I would not be opposed to posting an update." He offered to have someone meet with me on Wednesday, Oct 2. Ken Norton arrived on Wednesday as promised and addressed outstanding issues regarding thermostat programming/operation, remote sensor, and overall cooling system capability concerns. He made an adjustment to the cooling system blower output to increase it by 10% which should improve ability of system to cool off our 2nd floor spaces. Ken is new to the Cool Heat 365 company and explained he had been hired to address and manage deficiencies such as those we experienced. I found him to be genuinely concerned about correcting those deficiencies and focused on making things right with the customer. I give Ken 5 stars and appreciate the companies' interest in addressing its' shortcomings. With Ken's help, I think the company is better equipped to run the business like it should be. I'm pleased with the Daikin system, except for the thermostat which is not as user friendly as some other systems. The FIT system is extremely quiet...even when outside near the unit, it's difficult to hear. I've modified the overall company rating to 3 stars based on their willingness to resolve the issues and on Ken's stellar intervention. Unfortunately, it took a negative review to get them to take action. Hopefully, going forward, their business model will improve. read more

After a few different conversations about the right system for me and my home the owner adamantly letting me know how "EXCELLENT" , "PROFESIONAL" , and "ATTENTION TO DETAIL" his guys are and that i am in great hands. After waiting about 3 weeks it was finally time for the work to be done. Long story short i was not happy and still not happy with any part of what went on here, One guy went and drilled two holes in my walls the first was in the living room and the other in my bedroom, and he made these 3inch holes without even first making sure that was the right spot, and it was not and both holes didnt work for where the ac heads would need to go. I later found out the guy screwing up everything was one of the most " experienced " guys on Rusty's crew. WOW PRETTY SCARY IF YOU ASK ME, ive got to say i feel pretty lucky that my system even still works properly......At least so far i guess. I would strongly advise people to find another company other than this one and will not be recommending this company to anyone other than the BBB and OSHA and anyone els like that so they can be looked into further by the right people read more

The Seattle area normally experiences wet winters, but hardly ever snow and sub-freezing temperatures. The latter was the case this year and in the middle of this weather misery my furnace failed. After getting one outrageously high bid, I followed the recommendation of my local utility which gave me four furnace dealers on their recommended list. I struck gold on the first recommended dealer I called, CoolHeat365 of Stanwood. Owner Rusty Reed met with me on Saturday afternoon, submitted a bid for a smart technology Daikin furnace (which was $3000 below bid one), and a mere two days later his highly efficient crew was at my home. They put in a long day, customizing the fit, checking and rechecking and whatever else they do and presto just before dusk my home was back in business and I was warm again. They also provided a Honeywell T6 thermostat which knows everything, limits button pushing and doesn't require any nighttime sleep mode setting.
